It's always been a contest for me between Link's Awakening and Tetris (1989) for #1 Gameboy game. And not because I think that Tetris is as impressive a game as TLoZ: LA but because it's the one I've always been able to pick up and play the most. For anybody who's actually into Tetris in its purest and simplest form, it's aged extremely well.
Imagine having a portable console with all the AAA games ported or custom made for the system. Even the Switch don’t have that. Back then the Gameboy was like a dream come true.
Great list but I can't help pointing out that every game on the list minus kid Dracula and MM5 are a Nintendo IP. I guarantee you there are games just as good or better than some on your list that you just haven't played.
Lovely video! This is a good list, shoutouts to Trip World! It is a super charming little game, definitely my fave Game Boy game, along with Kirby's Block Ball! I'd definitely love more videos on GameBoy titles! specially small underrated ones!
