Great job, EJ. Thanks for another Tiguan Video. VW recommends doing the brake fluid exchange at the first three years and once every two years after that.
You should always start from the farthest brake which is right rear wheel then left rear wheel then passenger front wheel then drivers side wheel. That is what I was taught. Personally it doesn't matter to me.
So, I was taught that same way to. It was not till I started working on exports that I learned each one is different. I have had Hondas, VWs and BMWs that the service manual calls for driver front first and work back. It was really odd to me, but worked.
You are really great man. I found one tiguan 2014 in olx and it is well maintained and serviced with authorised service centre and cheap price as well. I like this car very much but my friends are suggesting me to not to buy this car due to expensive maintenance and spare parts. Then, I started searching suggestions in internet and I found your channel. All videos are really very interesting & valuable. Yesterday, I took a car for test drive and I decided to go with this car. Thanks bro.
Thank you very much and Congratulation on getting the new Tiguan..Make sure watch my video on how to maintain the turbo. With regular oil change and the proper DIY maintenance, the car should last a while. I love Liqui Moly synthetic. ruclips.net/video/X66uAK55X28/видео.html
The break fluid is not toxic it’s corrosive, also the reason why the fluid needs to be changed is not only because of moisture, it’s also because when the break fluid gets heated up enough times it loses viscosity and start to fail in its way to push as hard on the break piston as a new one and will eventually fail totally. The moisture in the fluid will not corrode inside of the break system either. I have worked on cars since I was 18 and am now 53 and have yet to see the breaks corroded from the inside out, it’s always the other way around..
all fluids are incompressible regardless of viscosity. If there is enough moisture in the brake fluid, then when it gets heated from the brake pads during braking, it may get as high as 212 degrees F, which will cause the moisture to begin boiling. This boiling means tiny steam bubbles are present in the brake line, thus causing the brake pedal to feel spongy during braking. This is never a problem for passenger cars despite what mechanics tell you. The brakes will fail for other reasons, not because of the insignificant amount of moisture present in it. Now i want you to ask yourself where the moisture comes from in the first place since the brake system is a closed system that is isolated from the air.
Excellent well-done video tutorial. Thank you for taking the time to produce this; you made the process look much easier than I imagined. I'm ready to tackle this service myself!
Thanks for this video man 👨. I just learning how to do it on my Tiguan too soon. Its fluid brake is dark like coffee ☕️. Also I’m going to buy the same brake blender kit. Thanks again
Like the way you said keep away from dealership😂, as I just purchased the car from dealer but never come back never ! Yes common regular maintenance & some issues is not hard DIY for vag cars I’ m not a mechanic, Since I didn’t spend for dealership or stealership guess my saving money paid itself even now I have many basic tools in my garage 😅 Good job good vid , respect
Great job man! I recommend shopping at Harbor Freight Tools for your jack stands and jack. They're good quality and a lot cheaper. I owned a 2008 VW Jetta and I now own a 2015 VW GTI. They're both the same when bleeding your breaks. I bleed my brakes every two years using VW Original Fluid. Three small bottles will be enough to bleed the brakes. Anyways, thanks again for your videos.
Do you have an updated tutorial on this? I want to perform this on my Wife's 2021 Tiguan. However, I know VW recommends a certain sequnce on performing it and that generally you want to use VCDS software or a OBD2 Scanner to perform the bleeds, since depending on the model you technically have to bleed both fronts at the same time and rears together.

I have one question after the Job if the brakes are still squishy after I did it step by step how you did it, do I have to re-pressurize the master cylinder or what do I do? Thank you for the video it made super confident to do the job myself
Thanks for your videos. I've changed my oil twice and brake fluid change ready for next weekend. My radiator fan spins constantly on my Tiguan, any idea what that could be or is it a job for a mechanic? Great videos!
My pleasure. If the fan running few minute's after the car is turned off, it is normal for turbo charged cars. My BMW M6 competition does that too, but it doesn't stop. It is probably a temperature sensor.

Good morning Ed. Just a question. I drive with my tiguan, 4motion in the city and he is doing only around 14 up to 17 miles per gallon inside the city. This is normal? I'm really upset with this part of my CAr. Is a really good car, but drinks alot of gas.

I think he emptied the reservoir completely I guess your concern is not to enter air in master cylinder If you put the new break fluid immediately it should be fine.

I thought the proper way to bleed brakes is to start from the furtherist bleeder nipple from the reservoir and progressively move forward!
You can do that too from rear passenger side but it doesn’t matter as long as the old fluid is out.
no VW recommends in order
Front left brake caliper.
Front right brake caliper.
Rear left brake caliper.
