    Hello,
interesting video, thanks for sharing it. Do you place the SuperEgo after the distortions to affect the pads with some dirt? How about affecting the pad with some dirt afterwards? I'm hesitating just where to put it, and I had thought to put it after the octave. Maybe it's more versatile as you have it placed, and thus make pads with or without distortion and then play with or without distortion... 🤔. I'll have to try when I get the SuperEgo.
    Best regards!

Hello! I tend to place the SuperEgo after distortion, but I do think it would work quite well before dirt pedals... especially if you want to fade in and out the distortion on a pad that is playing. Such a great pedal! Thanks for watching :)

Thanks so much! It's actually about to change a bit... I kept it stable for a month, which might be a record for me :)

Great vid! Oh man! I wish I had a plugin like the Freqout!!

The FreqOut is such a good pedal... and so expressive. I'm a little surprised nobody has cranked out such a plugin. Let's ask Soundtoys to make it!

Great job, alway like to take a peek at. someone else's pedal board and see how they put their sound together, I have got to get a Timeline to go with my Nightsky. I also recently picked up a Mood and am still drilling down into it, I like what I'm finding so far.

Congrats on getting a Mood! I love that pedal so much. It took me a while to understand it... and to be honest, I'm still not quite sure if I do actually understand it... but now that I've dialed in a few favorite settings, it just makes the coolest, most beautiful sounds.
And yes, the Timeline/Nightsky combo is pretty amazing, especially when coming out in stereo. For a 10-year old pedal, the Timeline is really holding it's own. I hope you can find a good deal on one.
My board has changed quite a bit since I made this video, and I'll probably do another pedal board tour before the end of the year. Thanks so much for watching Bryon!

This is disgusting. It's just absolutely every single pedal that I want.

The problem is, I made my dream pedalboard, and now I keep needing to add new things to it. I may have to sell my car soon... :)

Thanks for watching! Nothing wrong with caveman... in fact, I might write more songs if I wasn't messing with my pedalboard constantly!

Great pedalboard! I'm a new subscriber. What power supply are you using to power up all those pedals?

Hi there Kunal. Thanks for watching! I actually talk about this at 25:48 on this video (I really should have included chapter markers, sorry about that!) if you want to hear me complain about my power woes.
(copied from our other thread) I have 2 power supplies right now. For power, I'm using a Voodoo Labs Mondo and a Voodoo Labs Pedal Power 4x4. I'm also powering a couple of the Strymons with their included AC adapters, because I'm out of the 400mA ports :( I may swap out the 4x4 for something that has more of the high power ports in the future. Hope that helps!

    What amp?

    • @AaronRusch
      @AaronRusch  3 года назад

Hey there! For this setup, I'm going amp-free, and using the Iridium as the amp and cab sim. I do have a Dr Z M12 as my normal amp, but I actually really love the sound I get from the Iridium, especially for recording, so the M12 doesn't get used as much anymore.

Damn thats a lot of pedals. But most of those are digital anyways so why not just use an axe fx 3? Probabily about the same money.

I think it's just how my mind works. I went through a period where I was using multi-fx units, and I just found they stifled my creativity. I was spending way too much time programming, and not enough time playing.
When I sit down in front of a big pedalboard, my creative flow feels enhanced. But the minute that I have to open up a GUI, I feel my creativity sucked away. Sometimes, even the Timeline feels a little too menu-driven to me (and it isn't at all). I also started playing guitar roughly 1000 years ago with a few simple guitar pedals, so for whatever reason, I feel more comfortable with pedals? You do make a great point, and I've heard amazing tones from units like an Axe FX. But for my weird brain and my workflow, it just has to be pedals. Also, I'm probably addicted to them.
Thanks for checking out the video!
