When with Marcus she did kiss Chuck but I mean he was sleeping with his stepmother while with her. Chuck she never cheated on was always there for him his only rlly constant person in his life who loved him deeply. The only person she cheated on was Louis but he ended up being a cold manipulative person. Stop trying to make Blair the bad guy in this Chuck obviously the one who screwed up here
Leighton Meestser's voice actually cracked, her and Ed are amazing in this scene along with the train station one.
Sometimes I wonder if they constantly put these two through hell bc Ed and Leighton knocked emotional scenes out of the park every time. Their acting and chemistry just put them above everyone else.
Probably. A lot of writers position their characters in scenes so that the actors can show off their abilities. But part of the problem is that it can damage the characters and their stories. Like the fact that OG blair would have looked at this situation and just walked away. She would detach herself emotionally and put it behind her. She would minimize it. But Leighton gives such a good performance, they sacrificed Blair's character for it.
Mini toast it actually made me love Blair more. Scenes like this gave her the strongest character development. The whole Blair is a bad bitch that doesn’t care would have got old fast. I think this is why most people fell in love with her because behind the clod vengeful exterior shes just an innocent little girl who’s been hurt so many times. First her mother who made he feel like she was never enough, the abandoned by her father, and betrayed by Nate and again by Chuck.

I'm glad that they didn't put music during the dialogue; it definitely adds tension.
Yes, he took her for granted. He assumed that Blair would be there for him no matter how he treated her, as if he Owned her ['I'm sorry for treating you like property']. Which is why he never really respected her until the very end of the show.

I'm with you. Chuck took Blair for granted when she told him she loved him. He just assumed that she would be there forever no matter how he treated her. It took a loong time of being without her and the torturous feat of finally letting her go to REALLY begin to appreciate her the way he should have from the start.

I can't believe Chuck did this, my heart was so broken for Blair that I stopped watching the whole series several days after this scene. And the first time ever I thought Blair with Dan isn't that bad after all cuz Dan wouldn't sell his girlfriend for his fucking uncle. 🤮

No other actors/actresses have more Chemistry than Ed and Leighton like damn and it’s like it actually causes her pain to leave him and after everything they put chuck and Blair through I always knew they would be endgame no one in history loved each other the way they did and yes they messed it up a lot(this time was chuck) it’s how they became better people and could finally be together in peace
It sounds unrealistic when you say it like that, but it's real. People are like that. Happened to lots of persons I know. Sometimes it's very easy to forget what you love the most and realize it after you lose it.

After that scene of them looking at eachother in the mirror with such miserable unhappy faces and blair saying “we’re both sick and twisted” was when people should’ve realized chair is an extremely unhealthy pair that brought out the absolute worst in eachother. @x3BabyQx3 Well, pretty much. I think that he thought Blair would forgive him, so he could have both. Or he thought that Jack wouldn't tell Blair about their plan. But, ultimately, Chuck did choose the hotel over Blair. The fact that he reminded Blair about how she once told him that she would stand by him through anything makes me think that Chuck thought he could easily win Blair's forgiveness, though.

Blair knew this, & went to Jack, planning on sleeping with him so Chuck could get his hotel. But, they only kissed before Jack told Blair that she didn't have to sleep with him, it was all just a plot to destroy Chuck. He also said that him & Chuck struck a deal: Blair for the Empire. Chuck knew that Blair would go to Jack all along; he wanted her to in order to win his hotel.
i think a future episode of GG: Dan choosing between Blair and maybe his book... Ofcourse he will choose Blair cause he's no Chuck Bass

Why not? He grew so much from this point. Chuck took her for granted in his season 3 relationship with Blair. He never had a monogamous relationship before this and believed that because Blair was willing to stand by him, he didn’t have to treat her as an equal. But distance from Blair allowed him to grow. Change. Become someone who selflessly gives her up when she is coming to him willingly because he believed he couldn’t make her happy. Become someone who is able to recognize her value as a person and apologize for everything.
Chuck and Blair are twin flames. Two halves of the same person. Most twin flames do not last long term due to differentiating states of emotional growth between partners, and can become toxic because of this, but they always find a way back to each other, and can have an epic, healthy, long lasting love if they were on the same stage in terms of growth. How can we not ship that???

People realize this is a fictional show right? You don’t need to over analyze everything. They are tragic characters and a tragic love story so leave it at that. I actually love chuck and Blair’s fights almost as much as I love them when they’re happy. It’s such a tumultuous relationship and so entertaining to watch. At least the writers had guts to write this kind of old fashioned tragic tale. Everyone nowadays tries to write realistic, politically correct stuff all the time. Can’t we just enjoy the entertainment without dissecting every little thing. This is fictional, you are meant to enjoy the false drama. Chill out on chuck, he’s not a real person. He is a fictional character with a lot of issues due to his upbringing. Give him time to evolve.
