- The All-New 2019 Mercedes Benz A-Class Sedan is raising the bar for style, features and technology in any compact car class. With a stylish and slippery exterior, the A-Class looks like a mini S-Class. The interior has similar style elements as the flagship Mercedes-Benz S-Class. This is the first Mercedes to feature the cloud based MBUX system. The system features 2 widescreens, crisp graphics, augmented reality, and artificial intelligence. Canada will also be getting the A-Class Hatchback. For performance fans, an AMG A35 will be coming after these get launched.

Ok, this thing is getting ridiculous. All reviewers can't stop complaining about triggering the voice assistant with the word 'Mercedes'. Who in their right mind would repeat Mercedes in their car all the time (except reviewers)? These cars are driven by owners, not reviewers.
You have a point there although if you knew someone named Mercedes or for some reason say it often, I would turn it off. Surprisingly, it even triggered on a couple of songs on the radio that had Mercedes in it. Good observation.
But even at that, owners barely say Mercedes till they reach their destination so I believe the system is close to being perfect but all other higher models must get an updated and accurate one.

This is a very important car. It just sped up the entire industry to include MORE to the LESSER models of all brands. Love it!

This is GREAT car. I’ve had it for a couple months and I have no complaints. I’m coming from a C300 AMG too. Besides HP (still feels zippy) it is definitely not lacking. Advanced tech, streamlined look, comfortable drive and not to mention it’s definitely a VIBE on the inside.

Those vents are so cool
I checked this car today at the dealer. I was impressed it looks gorgeous!! I compared it with the A class sedan and hatchback at the dealer. It's worth the extra money for an AMG line and in white the car looks amazing big compare to the mountain gray and black which makes the car in general look smaller. Overall this looks even better than the CLS. I will definitely make a test drive soon.

I’m very intrigued, RUclips recommended you as an “upcoming channel”. I haven’t done my research but it seems as though this car is not even available for purchase but you were able to review it. There must be at least one other person helping you film the driving scenes from outside. Plus I don’t think RUclips ad revenue would cover your costs, you have an expensive hobby! Great review btw.
The driving scenes were BRoll from the manufacturer as yes, I have not figured out how to film driving scenes with a single person. You are also right about the ad revenue, people don’t realize that on lots of reviews, the revenue doesn’t even pay for the fuel. Thanks for stopping by though.
I have owned two Mercedes cars, a Clk coupe, a C180 and now an A class AMG, It is a fabulous car, it has sports and comfort settings, I have owned two BMW’s in the past... they look outdated compared with the new A class. The Instrument panel is in the executive vehicles, not all models. I love driving this car, it is fast, comfortable and turns heads, what more is there to say about it.
It is weird that it is illegal to text and drive but you have to touch screens to operate a car now.

Surprised the tail light didn’t follow the current generation of the a class design. It is following the previous gen facelift a class design which I personally think it is the best
About time there’s an entry level Benz. Like back in the days 190E. This will settle down Mercedes prices and many will be sold. We will see if the build quality holds the star area of the 80’s.
Mys grandpa bought 190e when it first come out. He died 5 years ago in 96 years old and still had his 190e white color, first owner, 130 00km.
The 190E is equivalent to the C-Class. So, you got the CLA and this A under the C. Shows that MB is trying to reach to the masses because of Genesis and Kia.

Owned Swedish, Japanese (mostly) and American cars. Always thought of a car as a point A to point B transport, nothing more. My old timer image of a Mercedes was a rather stuffy sedan that was classy but a little dull. Drove an earlier A class model in Europe. Really liked it. Tried the A220, wow. Beautiful interior, great steering and handling and fantastic tech. For the first time in my life I'm actually excited to drive a car. Oh..and the seats were perfect, no fatigue even after hours and hours of driving. They've converted me.

The new AMG A35 has ventilated front seats, and I'm very sure that this will be a feature for all the other A-Class models too very soon.
SJW Maniac You cannot get ventilated seats on this 2019 A-Class Sedan. This is confirmed. Perhaps the AMG has different seating material but the A220 cannot be equipped with ventilated seats.
@@EverydayReviews2022 it can in Germany atleast. Just today I was messing around with the online configurator and there was an option to have cooled seats in the a class sedan
totoIV Is that for a 2018 or 2019. I know that someone asked about cooled seats in the media conference and distinctly remember them saying that they are not available due to the seating material. Perhaps the 2019 is different.
Everyday Reviews ventilated seats are available for the U.S. spec with the proper seating surface. Must be leather. BTW that has always been the case. That is for the initial 2019 production.

how do you only get 188hp out of a 2.0 4 cyl TURBO? Thing should be pushing at least 220hp
MB still don't offer pixel guarantee on the screens, after some years when it has lost lots of light strength MB won't change it for free. It's gunna be expensive for all those who buy digital instrument screens like this, the lifespan is shorter than you think, it starts to "die" already after a few years of usage. When you compare a new screen to one used for 4 years the difference is really big. The car manufacturers needs to address this.

I don't see why the hatchback is sportier ? Sedans are sportier than hatchbacks, the hatch must be there for more cargo space and utility.

Needs more power and that shifter lever is atrocious. Overall, the car is amazing and very good looking. I’m still personally going to have to go with BMW. Stuck between the 340i or the 440i coupe. Not sure if I want a coupe or not. The power is also great at 320hp, and with a simple tune and some bolt ons, you’re easily over 400hp. Also I like the center shifter on the BMW. I like using the manual function using the center shifter rather than the paddle shifters. If Mercedes had a center shifter with the option of being able to manually shift with it , I’d go with them.
The only problem with the voice control is that they always talk about “hey mercedes” but it reacts on “mercedes”. So if it annoys you, turn it off and use the button on the steering wheel. I mean a button on the steering wheel isn’t to much to ask right? XD However they could take note of apples Siri. Siri doesn't react to “Siri” it only reacts when you say “hey siri”, if they can program it like apple, the problem would be solved. Cause nobody would accidentally say “hey mercedes” xD

If it's got a gaming card working the display. Would be cool to program in Mercedes test track, while using car's actual steering wheel and brakes to virtually race it. If tweaked to be dynamically identical to real-life, would cause some major buzz.
Would be a cool way to past the time in the parking lot while waiting for the wife to finish her shopping. Also, translating earned virtual-talent to real-life would be easy since it same cockpit and driving component.

Nice car but is a bit too small and tight. Also, lackluster engine performance. I’m sure it will be a hit with new car buyers but no thanks. I decided on the C300 instead when I was at my local Benz dealer... you can’t go wrong with either class but 180 hp doesn’t cut it especially for a German car..

Yes, the hatchback A250 is only coming to Canada. Should be before the sedan, end of 2018.
Everyday Reviews Can't help but notice the uncanny ressemblance at the rear between the A hatch and the current Kia Forte5 which came out in 2014 lol. Speaking of the Forte, will you be reviewing the new one? I'm really excited for the next 2020 Forte5 SX Turbo! At around 32k fully loaded, it will be a lot more appealing than the base stripped down A class which is 8 grand more

Inaccurate statement at 3:00. nVidia chipset used in this vehicle is nowhere near as powerful as what the gamers use. Specific silicon from nVidia used for cars is from a completely different family of chipsets.
@RUDI yeah we know what he probably meant to say. a better explanantion would be that the whole Mercedes MBUX platform runs on a nvidia chip (which includes a processing, graphics and ML interfaces), that is not just the graphics, it is the whole system.
but that has no correlation to what he said. he is saying that car had a graphics card like one of those nvidia graphics cards gamers use, that is like someone who has no deep knowledge of cars saying this A Class is the same as a Kia Picanto in that they both run on gasoline.
