my god that has got to be the best infotainment system I've seen on a car.
You have to be kidding? It's too over the top with unnecessary rubbish. They are just trying to hide you get a crap engine and gear box by overloading it with tech. Then to add the decent engine you have to spend a small fortune. With the unreliability factor of a Benz do you really want to risk all that tech lasting even the warranty period let alone beyond.
Like it or not, tech is the future for these luxury car brands. Also this is the A-Class the entry level of purchasing a Benz so it's supposed to come with low-end specs in terms of engine and etc; if you want a v8 there's the GT for you. Besides Benz is a reputable company, don't know why are you complaining so much.
Ordered mine already cart wait to play around with the new tech interior and interface is hot not bothered about the extra leg room in the back I don't sit there haha 😂

Too much reflection though what the hell lol. That would totally suck in the Aussie sun. i would ditch those chintzy air vents though as they cheapen the look of the interior.Heads up diplay looks like it was bought in kmart as well. Why release a car with all this tech but a shit gear box?
DEVILTAZ35 Exactly mate, which is more important for a vehicle, the way it drives or the infotainment system? Not so long ago a car review was mainly to explain what are the drive train and the road behaviour, now 80% of the time is about explaining what is the screen resolution and what features the infotainment is - that really sucks!
Maybe because an A250 is not supposed to be about the driving experience and handling? If you watch an A45 review, you'd obviously expect (and get) the reviewer talking more about how it handles, how it puts power down and how it behaves when you push it.
This is a very tactical move by Mercedes - they've long been seen as lacking in their infotainment systems and tech in comparison to their competitors, especially BMW and the iDrive system. By developing something like MBUX and making it standard across the entire range, on their lowest level model line, they're changing the game and sending a clear message to the market.
If I was Mercedes marketing, I'd also be telling the reviewers to put a focus on the tech for now.
DEVILTAZ35 This guy is literally the only one who has complained about the gearbox, all other reviewers have called it smooth.
Shit gear box and a Renault engine but a "Las Vegas" screen made for the Apple generation. Nice body, though.

prefer A Class AMG pre fl with the same price range but Mercedes Benz is normal with AMG the difference is quite significant in handling and comfort
AMG is a good way to remove kidney stones :)
2013 amg is $38,000aud . Since Socialists pushed up business costs In Germany 15 yrs , new cars waste of money and the tax on mercedez brand new drive away in Australia is 51%

Saves money in manufacturing but yeah it's a pet hate of mine. I would never buy a car where you can see that as it looks cheap and nasty. The car kind of looks cheap and nasty though as they are trying to shoehorn an S class like interior into too small a space.

overpriced for what it is.If I won lotto and I am no badge snob.I would based on the a180 sedan variant would save fifteen grand and head to the mazda dealer and settle for a 3 pure with an automatic and alarm system.2.0l four none of this turbo bullshit and best of all a driver layout the right way around for right hand drive markets.If the car was for my mother it would be a different story.

You mean that on 4:32? Cause augmented reality is referred to the extra camera view at the front when your navigation is active. You will see the view in front of you on the screen, with they arrows, streetnames and numbers projected on to it.

Nah, SUVs are the way to go. The Touareg screen config is better and safer. Screens that sit outside like that are potential missiles when they dislodge during accidents.

don't buy the a180.if you are thinking that but it doesn't have to be a Mercedes pop down to Mazda for either a 3 pure or evolve.your wallet at purchase and servicing times will thank u.it's about ten to fifteen grand cheaper,the gear lever is on the proper sides and is better equipped,also no turbos at entry level so no worries
This car has reviewers going ga-ga because of the tech and the iPad stuck on dash. The rear design belongs on an older cheap Korean car,it is terrible.The front isn't bad but I believe Audi and BMW's task of building better-looking hatches has been made easier. The reflections on the iPad dash will be difficult to deal with, especially when driving.It is bigger, but rear leg room hasn't inprove.I suggest waiting for the Audi or Golf or BMW's new hatchback.

I have problem why all of u test driver is soo busy about the place in the back? i AM SITTING IN THE DRIVER SEAT WHEN I DRIVING. And is no family who bring their mother and father with them, maybe sometimes, and 2 kids is no problem in the back seat, is lot of places. Soo why always soo busy about the place in the back? This is not a family car really, all understand that, normally is a single person or a couple with no kids buying a car like this.
I don't like it. Exterior is just the 308 Peugeot and interior.....leave the tablet out and the remainder is just very simple.

I personally find the interior tremendously stupid! You cant put 2 tablets without even integrate them at the dash and call that interior! Great tech but badly packed. Sorry Mercedes! For first time in my life I want to by VW instead Merc!
Couple that with the worse looking heads up display so far and it really drags it down. The biggest issue is the screens are out of the E class with more updated tech. They work in that car due to the width of the car but here they just look stuck on.
