What a great tutorial! Your instructions are precise and clear, and I like that you explain the reasoning behind the different steps. The finished product is beautiful, too. Thank you for sharing this!
Laura, if you made one of those with mesh then you could put onions and potatoes in them. Another great use would be to use dog fabric and make one to store the dog toys and leash could just clip right onto the hanger with the rest of the leash inside. Lastly, use a kid friendly fabric and have a "hanging toy box on the closet door in a kids room.
wow thankyou for a fab tutorial, so pleased to now understand how to get a lovely circle, I needed to understand how to do this for an entirely different project and quite by accident I came across your tutorial...what I really like is the fact you go at a pace I can followx
I love your tutorials. Made two of the reversible clothesline bags today. They are sew very easy and I love them. Making 3 more tomorrow for my daughter and granddaughters. Thank you for all your wonderful tutorials.
Oh Laura, you just made my day. I've searched endlessly on how to sew a clothespin bag and here you are making it easy for us watching. Thank you so much for your tutorial. Can't wait to sew mine. But I'll be using a wired hanger because I live on a tropical island and a plastic hanger won't stand a chance with all the sun here.
I just made this clothes peg bag for my sister. I’m sure she’ll love it. Your instructions were absolutely fantastic, the best tutorial and video I have ever followed. Thank you so very much!
this bring back memories of my Grandmother I used to help her hang clothes outside she would sew her own clothes pen bags I wish I had one of hers now thank you so much can't wait to make mine
You always have your projects come out so neat and beautiful, even if I don’t need what you’re doing I can always learn a trick that I can use in any other sewing projects
I have the same bag but much longer on the back of each bathroom; it's a lau dry bag and at the bottom it has a zipper to remove the laundry. The first one I had was made of cheap plastic which gave me the idea and the template for many other bags made of cloth that I made in the future. By the way, the opening can be a semi-circle on the side.
Absolutely brilliant thank you so much for your tutorials. Im home today due to the current situation with the virus so this is my make for today... From west Wales in the Uk
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I just completed my clothespin bag, I use a clothesline in the warm weather, this will get a lot of use. Your instructions are very clear, thanks again!
You make sewing enjoyable & take away the fear of failure with your easy to follow tutorials. I only wish my Mum was still alive as she’d be so proud of what I’ve created following your tutorials! Thank you
Love this Laura, making one for my mum who actually keeps some of her toilietries in the old one she had..she asked me for a new one...your tutorials are so easy to follow & your voice is so calm. Thank You
Thank you so much for that great tutorial ! I made one for my mother, it is so pretty that everybody else wants one ! The pretty stich makes a great difference ! And it is something that really many of us can use !genevieve from Switzerland !
I love this idea. It would go so nice under a Jacket/Suit/Outfit that is hung up with just the right accessories to go with that item. Think I will have to make a few.
If you are going to use it as a clothes pin bag and you live in an area that is windy, you may want to put TWO hangers in that have the hooks facing each other to create a closed loop so the bag doesn't fall off the clothes line. Virginia Clearbrook MN
My grandmother’s clothespins bag was made from an infants dress~ it looked like it was drying on the clothes line because the hanger also went tru the arm holes! Nice tutorial!
Great video, thank you. I am trying to work out how to make a reversible tea cozy and am struggling! Maybe I should make this first to help me get my head around the construction of reversible objects.
At the time of around 4:46 after sewing the back you say when the seam is stitched fold the right sides together. I hope you mean fold the wrong sides together?
This is so nice......too bad clothes are not hung out to dry in the sun.......I loved the smell of dried sheets on a line.... Beautiful bag, makes me want to do laundry...lol thanks Laura
This could be used as a travel bag to hang undies etc when you don’t have or want to use drawers. I’m thinking great for a cruise ship for undies socks etc.
Thanx. I've been wanting to make some for gifts. If you use it as a regular hanger, you have hidden storage in your closet. I can't imaging thieves looking through every garment looking for that hidden stash of money or jewelry.
I have made clothespin bags several times, reusing the current bag as a pattern (which uses bias tape) I'm really bad (as my mothers reminds me) on leaving my clothespin bag on the line and it fades. I had planned on making a bag soon and after watching your tute I'm going to try the fat quarter way. I'm also going to use some fusible fleece. :) Your way is less waste of fabric and we always have some ugly fabric to use for this purpose (haha) In addition, i will make a matching grocery store bag holder to match since it can be done with a fat quarter. Thanks for the idea.
I'm thinking with a few modifications, I could make a simple reversible garment bag using some of the same techniques you have used here. I'm going to need such a bag to hold my deacon robes to keep them clean and for easy transport. A garment bag that I can personalize and make reversible would be lovely, I think.
hi there. I love your reversible clothespin bag and have made a few but I can't finish it very well at all with the whip stitch or blind stitch going through multiple layers. Can you give me any close up pictures please or handy tips? thank you Annie x
These are nice I had one, but most don't hang out anymore. It makes a nice hanger for nylon stockings and leggings. Maybe socks. I would make the hole smaller and you could store more things in it.
I would like more info on using patterned stitching. Mine never seems to end/join properly. I always end up wth at least one pattern repeat that is not a full repeat. Thanks for the tutorials. I find them very interesting
You are one the best sewing instructor.
Great tutorial. Instructions are very clear and well explained . Will make this for my daughter .

Love the scrap idea. Ty!!! Never even thought of using one for that. I've had clothes pin bags all my life. My mom grandma ect used them too.

Laura, what a great 💡 idea.. You always make it so easy to follow and use up those fat quarters. Touche again.🙋👍
I love this idea. It would go so nice under a Jacket/Suit/Outfit that is hung up with just the right accessories to go with that item. Think I will have to make a few.
Laura, I love this tutorial. I truly enjoy watching your tutorials! Thank you. ♥
Thanks Laura a perfect tutorial.. my mum asked me to make a clothespins bag..
Use pinking shears in center of hole. The fabric is gorgeous!

Fabulous tutorial thank you 😊
Laura, you are very creative, you sew so beautiful.
Excellent idea and I love the reversibility of it
I recognize those fabrics! They came in my latest Annie's Fabric Club shipment. They are lovely!. Thanks for telling us about it in an earlier video.
Wonderful idea for a scrap bag! Thanks for the tutorial!
Great video, thank you. I am trying to work out how to make a reversible tea cozy and am struggling! Maybe I should make this first to help me get my head around the construction of reversible objects.
Making things reversible means you do not have to finish the outside seams.
That's a great project. Many thanks!
At the time of around 4:46 after sewing the back you say when the seam is stitched fold the right sides together. I hope you mean fold the wrong sides together?
haha you are correct, thanks
I noticed that too. I’m sure she intended to say the opposite: the wrong sides together.
Wouah ! This is ra really really beautiful one.! Thank you so much for this great tutorial ! You are fantastic ! 🥰
Great tutorial. I love it.
Awesome! i love this. It will be a great addition for when I don't want to wear my clothes pin apron I made. Thank you!
Just in time... My peg bag is looking rather faded. Thank you, Laura, another great tutorial.🐨🇦🇺

I still line dry our laundry, too. :)
I love my new bag thank you for teaching me how to make it

Pretty , nice idea
I bought something like this years ago in Montana; it looks like a corset or bustier and I use it to hold earrings, posts and fish hooks...

I'm going to need such a bag to hold my deacon robes to keep them clean and for easy transport. A garment bag that I can personalize and make reversible would be lovely, I think.
Wonderful tutorial and so cute
this is a great tutorial! i've been wanting to make a clothespin bag, and your pattern fits my needs exactly :)
hi there. I love your reversible clothespin bag and have made a few but I can't finish it very well at all with the whip stitch or blind stitch going through multiple layers. Can you give me any close up pictures please or handy tips? thank you Annie x
TERRIFIC idea for the use. Since people rarely use clothespins for laundry these days, this is a fantastic use of such a versatile bag. THANK YOU!!!!
Great sewing project!
very nice tutorial, I like your new hairstyle !!!!
These are nice I had one, but most don't hang out anymore. It makes a nice hanger for nylon stockings and leggings. Maybe socks. I would make the hole smaller and you could store more things in it.
love love love this for organizing our 'stuff'
When you cut through the fabric for the circle, it’s through 2 fabrics, right?
Perfect as always 👍🏼
Fabulous tutorial as always
I love the bag its so useful
I like this a lot among many of your other videos!!!
I would like more info on using patterned stitching. Mine never seems to end/join properly. I always end up wth at least one pattern repeat that is not a full repeat. Thanks for the tutorials. I find them very interesting
Good idea to store some of my scarves, thank you.
