Thank you for your experience. I am in the process of choosing a bike and I am between the WC and the normal Epic. Although I prefer the Epic WC what you mention at 4.34min made me think. I am a marathon rider rather than a XCO .
Hello. I am not a racer and my main riding style is longer distance, rocky, chunky rides in Colorado. I am very close to pulling the trigger on a 2024 Expert version of this bike and my main concern is maintenance and possible replacement of that rear shock. I like to keep my bikes for ten years so I'm worried that rear shock will be impossible to replace or fix after five years. Any thoughts on this?
are you sure there will be no more epic ht? What I have heard that they will not have s-works ht but will have epic ht with cheaper components and more affordable price
Atm there is only the old Epic HT still being sold. And Specialized's representative said that there will be no new model of the Epic HT. Don't know anything else about that matter.
tooo´bad that the frameset is so expensive and includes pointless fork and seatpost which are completely useless. Any serious (bigger) rider will want fork with around 34-35 mm stanchions and a dropper post of his choice

More of my own thoughts and preferences really, but I do think the normal Epic is better for longer rides/races.
Wonderful to see you on a real bike (not a motorbike). 😜 looks awsome. Almost as good as my home bult xc. 😉
But, imagine this bike WITH a motor! 😜
@@MTBs haha! Would do great in a e-bike “race”. 😉

There seems to be parts for older brain shocks available, so I wouldn’t be too worried.

Yes, there is a lot of focus on weight savings here. Personally I would prefer a dropper - I can't get used to a fixed seat post any longer.
