Rogue company and Disney speedstorm
I was really hyped for Palworld over 2 years since 2022, but I've only played it once in it's relase month january and haven't been played it since that. I should play more Palworld, because there is coming much of a new updates in Palworld and it would be a nice witv friends (what sadly I don't have). Still I reslly like Palworld "Pokémon with guns". I don't know where my hype went. 😢😮
It's a real shame The Order 1886 didn't deliver.. The universe they built & set up for a sequel could've been masterpiece levels if they took the feedback seriously.
It's a real shame Sony still charging $9.99 for that trash in their store...
Agreed… I think The Order could have had something there if they got another shot. The world they built was really cool.
It delivered for me yea it could of been better but I loved what they did anyway
The Order 1886 just had so much potential.
The fact we never got a sequel to The Order 1886 still breaks my heart. I have a feeling it would have been something special
Sonic 06 was definitely that type of game. Yeah I know I’m beating up a dead horse at this point about the game but I legit remember the amount of hype surrounding Sonic 06 back then from both Sonic fans & even non fans of the series in how amazing the game looked in trailers & previews at the time & how it was supposed to be a complete reboot of the franchise & how it’ll be the next generation of Sonic games, but all that crumbled into ruins once the final game was released.
I’m glad Sonic is returning to its roots, thanks to the Movies and Frontiers
@@RatchetClankFan112 Frontiers was alright until it got boring
I feel like Dead Island was fun enough to watch and play through on its own terms as long as you know what it is and get out of it, but I get how people were mislead by the trailers. I remember when they dropped. But I also know the gaming landscape has changed A LOT since then.
Dead island 1 was meh
But riptide was absolute a banger.
Although they are the same thing, but 1 was harder to level and the zombies wants you to suffer in real life😂.
You cant play it alone, you need a friend to help you.
But it was fun ngl.
Riptide was really fun to play.
I loved creating super weapons and a lot of things.
It was fun to play, solo and online.
The Order 1886 is different from the rest of these games in that it didn't launch with any major bugs or glitches, the gunplay was fine, the story and presentation was great... but it was just too short. I played it a little over a year ago when I bought it off the PSN store for $10. It's too bad it won't get a sequel since it ends on a cliffhanger. Vampires and werewolves in an alternate historical Victorian Britain where you play as Arthurian knights was a great concept. Had Ready at Dawn made a longer game like Mass Effect where you have some party control, the game would have been a hit!
In The Suicide Squad game they should have added katana or killer frost instead of Captain Boomerang
But nooo, DC had to go beyond woke and add Boomerang, Quinn and make a ridicule around 2 Deadshots! Not to mention squash on Kevin Conroy and Arkham Batman’s legacy.
Zaslav, DC, and Rocksteady have all failed this city.
The order 1886 was a good game. I enjoyed it
Technically 1886 delivered on everything it promised, just only for 10 hours lol .... 😂
Was it even that long? I thought it was more like 5 hours
@@marks6928 7 Hours, 10 Hours %100
Anthem was the nail in the coffin for me pre ordering games
Blame its failure on EA. They chose not to learn their lesson from Star Wars Battlefront 2 and ordered Bioware to make another mediocre game just so they could snatch more money from our pockets
I feel The Order was a good game in graphics, story and gameplay but the cliffhanger ending with no sequel still bothers me til this day😢😢😢
Anthem, Redfall, Suicide Squad.
These games show what happens when studios known for great single player games are forced to make multiplayer / live service games.
To this day I genuinely regret buying Anthem. I had fun for 2 or 3 days but WOW EA abandoned that game FAST! Also who remembers Ghost Recon Future Soldier? The trailers and gameplay is still up on IGN! But we got a completely DIFFERENT game
I want a list of games that lived up to the hype
Obviously, I think greatest disappointment is Suicide Squad Kills The Justice League.
Minus the glitching problem I actually kind of enjoyed Marvel's Avengers. I was just disappointed they decided not to add Captain Marvel She-Hulk and Ultron
I will forever be angry about The Order 1886. It had so much potential but just as you think you're getting into the real meat of the game, it ends. It wasn't worth the full price for the length.
The Angry Joe "zombie game" gag always has me laughing though 🤣🤣
You must have an editor with a broad sense of humour. Thanks for featuring the zombie game skit from Angry Joe Show.
Hey; I really enjoyed The Order 1886. I'm more upset at won't get a sequel
Easy answer, marvel vs Capcom Infinite until I noticed the game didn’t have the x men in it
Battleborn, looked fun and interesting until launch day hit.
I only remember it because they took it off the store before I could finish that story mode 😂
Balan Wonderworld . *shutter*😢
I really hoped it'll be good...
I enjoyed Anthem my 2 complaints
1) they went with the call of duty SoP: make a partial game and think that multiplayer is going to be the only thing that players care about (which they do with call of duty)
2) it was just another looter-shooter and not the multiplayer adventure RPG the gameplay footage made it out to be.
The order 1886 was extremely short length
I swear “Haze” was gonna be on this list lol
It definitely should've been with the hype it got.
The order 1886 needs a sequel... thats the only crime... and it needs to be like 20 hrs. 😂
SS: KTJL was absolutely atrocious, and its tribute to Kevin Conroy was completely half-assed.
Can't agree on Dead Island! Sure, some of the missions were a bit dumb and it could have been better in several aspects. I still had such a blast with it!
"Hyped games" in the title.
"We don't know how this could've been hyped" in every intro 😂
dead island was actually pretty good, sure it had an abundance of fetch quests, but it had a great melee system for its time... it's probably not worth going back for most though. I honestly would've put fallout 76, skull and bones, or if you dont want to look at revivals no mans sky.
Order 1886 is the best game on this list and it wasn't even hyped near enough what any of these other ones were...so for that, it is very harsh to include it on this list.
The only weakness it had was that it was too short, everyhting else was awesome!
Alas, the King returned to a throne made of turds that Duke had picked out of the toilet himself.
nobody was ever hyper by suicide squad, we all know was going to be a failure, everyone knew except warner. you forgot to mention overwatch 2, 4 years waiting for a campaign that was cancelled
I was disappointed in Duke Nukem forever
Dead Island was mismarketed but I really had fun with it even though it was rough around the edges and sold a lot. DI 2 was even better.
"Which hyped games do you feel soiled your experience the most?"
Dragon's Do gs hit 2
For me it will always be Brink. Anthem was up there for sure but Brink was one of the first games I paid for with my own money as a teen & I was definitely disappointed 😂
The Order 1886 was a good game to me, but it def needed to be longer & not worth $60. $25-$30 woulda been better for the time it came out. Still hope we could get a sequel someday.
Dishonorable Mentions:
*Metroid: Other M
-After Nintendo's DISASTROUS E3 2008, Nintendo revealed the trailer to Metroid: Other M. But when it released... whoo boy. It was a cavalcade of failures; monotone, uninterested acting, bad writing, botched character portrayals, and ideas that fell flatter than Wile E. Coyote on a bad day, ESPECIALLY the authorization mechanic.
Metroid Federation Force did no favors, as it wasn't what Metroid fans wanted. They wanted a mainline game with Samus, not a spin-off title! Now in recent memory we got good Metroid games (INCLUDING the upcoming Metroid Prime 4). Let's just hope it doesn't suffer too much from it's development hell.
*Sonic The Hedgehog (2006)
-You likely already know this song and dance. Bad controls, incomprehensible story, frustrating bosses, bugs and glitches galore, INSANELY LONG load times, the whole shebang.
*Daikatana
-It was hyped as John Romero's magnum opus, but it ended up being his greatest failure.
*Final Fantasy XIII
-First, there's the super-linear gameplay that doesn't offer a lot of exploration. Second, the story is impossible to understand unless you read the datalog (as it just thrusts you into the fray while refusing to explain anything). Third, The game is way too handholdy as it's not until 2/3 of the way through the game where they stop dropping tutorials. Fourth, most of the characters were either bland, annoying, stupid, or some combination of the three, with the only decent characters being Fang and Sazh. All of which culminated in the mosr disappointing game in the series.
*Multiple Games By Peter Molyneux
-Those familiar with Peter Molyneux probably know that he has a track record of doing the marketing equivalent of flying too close to the sun. He gets so excited about his own stuff that he'll spout off whatever he thinks will get people interested in his latest creation.
Fable isn't a bad series of games by any means, but they didn't deliver on some of it's promises. Project Natal was cancelled before it could aee the light of day. And lets not forget the marketing stunt for his god simulator game, Godus.
Can we also mention what an abject car crash Bayonetta 3 was?
That was "The Last Jedi"-level character assassination and brand damage.
Wasn't that bad. Not worthy of being in this list
@@Ssjangel3I dunno...it wasn't long after Bayonetta 3 (and its spinoff) flopped that Hideki Kamiya left PlatinumGames. It's entirely possible that its failure killed the studio.
Can you do !0 Hyped Games that SUCCEDED to delier?
Maybe it's just me but I don't feel like "The Day Before" ever had any real hype. There were a lot of people talking about it but it was almost entirely negative. I wouldn't call that hype. Sure, some people were positive but in my experience it was a devil's advocate type of thing where folks were just being supportive. It didn't sell well for a reason.
Dead Island can be fun. Funny you did not say the same you did for Techland vs RockSteady' Suicide Squad Kills The Justice League when their game is worst than Dead Island
Anthem had sooo much promise and because of that it hurt soo much more.. Shame
A couple of these I enjoyed and/or watched a RUclipsr play, and would be interested in playing.
how about the Master Chief Collection?
Well dead island multiplayer is still fun these days
I liked the Order 1886, I thought it was super fun
I remember hearing about The Order 1886. Yeah that game showed what the PS4 cpuld do, plus it was developed by Ready At Dawn Studios whom was the developer of the God of War PSP games. I know for a fact Chains of Olympus was developed by Ready At Dawn. I also remember Mighty no. 9. It had a successful Kickstarter but it was alsp overhyped. There was also a supposed TV series in the works, it was going to be released on every single platform, including Linux, there was even a spiritual successor to the Mega Man Legends series titled Red Ash. It never happened. In the end, Mighty no. 9 was only out on WII U, PS3, PS4, Xbox One and PC. I also heard that the Wii U port would brick the console. Their Kickstarter claimed MN9 would come out even on Xbox 360, Nintendo 3DS and PSVita. I actually have Mighty no. 9 on both PS3 and PS4 which were free downloads on PlayStation Plus. It has poor performance on the PS3.
The Order 1886 was A PS4 Exclusive
Im guessing that they forgot that cyberpunk was a huge Disaster
Have you actually played it? It was pretty awesome tbh
2:28 that part
I badly want another Avengers game, one that is actually good
The GTA Trilogy remake. Was so hyped for it…then it released lol.
So far OW2, WC3 Reforged, SW BF Classic Collection.
The Order 1886 is one stillborn franchise I still wish had done better
Totyk
Street fighter 6 spring to mind
Personally I thought Suicide Squad would suck since it was announced and I liked Duke Nukem Forever.
Ayoooo that beginning
The order was cool just short def needed a sequel. Strip everything away from anthem and make it an Ironman game boom fixed
Mass Effect: Andromeda should be on this list
I love videos that claim that the order 1886 wasn't good. It was a great movie like video game that told it's story and ended it didn't overstay it's welcome 8hrs is perfect for a shooter story mode I don't need a 30+ hour game to be enjoyable
I loved evolve when it came out, i just wished they had more characters for more variety. Then they added new characters but it became pay to win and new hunters made old ones obsolete and the game became unbalanced
I actually loved anyhem lol
The last of us 2. Divisive story aside, the original had a great multiplayer, but not the sequel. Naughty Dog clearly could've pulled it off, just look at Uncharted 4's multiplayer and the steady updates it got. Instead ND makes TLOU multiplayer it's own thing just to cancel it after.
Evolve could of been great honestly. Unfortunately they ruined it
Nice call out to Angry Joe there😆
Back when his content was bearable lol 😂.
Where the hell was TLOU part 2?! That was another hyped game that was a disappointment
I will defend the order till the end I absolutely loved it
Can accept most of the criticism except for Dead Island now a sequel has finally been released & didn’t need to make the same mistakes in marketing. It’s way more mid than most of the entires on this list & anyway this video was clearly made in light of the trailer for The Crow remake going through a similar process that these games have gone through
I liked The Order 1886 tbh!
I'm going to go with Balan Wonderworld, as it looked promising, but turned out to be absolutely terrible
"Mass Effect: Andromeda"? "Gotham Knights"?
There really is no excuse to make a shitty game. When you have hundreds of employees working on the same thing for several years, SOMEBODY has to notice that it's not looking good and speak up about it. Yet they don't. And what happens? We get games like these. So many problems that could've been avoided if only the developers had the common sense to know if something was good or not.
I mean the creative director or something along those lines realized Resident Evil 5 was not "survival horror" until the boulder punching scene after it was ready to launch...
agreed to disagree on
The Order 1886
I would have to say Rogue company & Disney speedstorm. Because you be lucky to finish a game without it closing on you.
Top 20 Mario kart tracks better than their originals
Does Pokemon Scarlet and Violet count?
Dead Island was a masterpiece 👌🏾💪🏾🔥 If y'all running out of list topics just say that 😂😂😂
I like the funny edits
Where tf is gran turismo 7
The order was really good it was just super short and no replay value.
If they had multiplayer and longer story it would have been dope
I beat it within 4-5 hours.
I've been played Pokémon Scarlet since it's launch november 2022 over 1 and a half year ago when I got it just in the relase and date day november 18 2022. I remember how hyped Pokémon fabs across the world and me were about of a new upcoming Pokémon games, but when I've played it at the first time, it ruined my and everyone's hype, but I like how The Teal Mask and The Indigo Disc DLCs trying to fix Pokémob Scarlet and Violet problems. It's interesting and sad Nintendo Switch can't run an open world Pokémon games, but it can run Pokémon Legends Arceus and The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom as normal and better what's really strange. Gamefreak relased Pokémon Scarlet and Violet too early after only 3 years from Sword and Shield launch, but now i'm so proud of Gamefreak and The Pokémon Company they didin't relase a new main line Pokémon game in this year 2024, because Pokémon Legends ZA is coming in the next year 2025 what's really nice Pokémon didin't have buys to relase games too fast after the latest Pokémon games. A lobg missing Pokémon Z isn't dead, it's coming as ZA with Kalos Lumiouse City and Megaevolutions back. Like AZ says in Pokémon X and Y: It's been 3000 years. 😢❤
Game freak do not make good 3d pokemon games. X&Y or OR&AS, are probably the closest they've got. But every single main line entry since has got worse, and worse. After sun and moon I'll always "try" before I buy with Pokemon. Because somehow every time they manage to somehow shatter my miniscule expectations. But then I remember at the same time, Nintendo don't do them any favours with constant outdated hardware.
@@Grimrapingsyeah, I agree you. Pokémon XY and Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are the top of 3D Pokémon games. Sun and Moon are good too. But on Nintendo Switch Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee and Legends Arceus are only good looking Pokémon games. 😮😊
The callisto protocol is another letdown
Looked cool, but it did suck!!!
What about Starfield
Brazil
Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection must be one of them. Lol 😅 LBH, MOST games are trash these days for the first 6 months after launch
i did not buy anthem i got a copy of death end request it came out the same day
the scam before(the day before)
Diablo 4 should be on there
Suicide Squad: Kill the justice League and itself. It committed suicide.
Do you like awesome things that are awesome? Not when it's Mighty No. 9.
Duke Nukem Forever took forever to come out and it sucks forever.
NO I DON'T WANT TO PLAY ANOTHER GODDAMN ZOMBIE GAME!
Games can brick consoles and PCs? Thank god I never got that.
9:28 This game was not the reason I got a PS4. I think my dad got it for Persona 5 and I also played Ghost of Tsushima on it, one of my few moments of solace in 2020.
I game that I was hyped for was Spyro Enter the Dragonfly. That game sucked. That game didn't even look finished. It was poorly rendered and also very short which is kind of a good thing.
Soooo cool my friend 🤪👑😘
Speaking of Gearbox, Borderlands 3 was a huge disappointment to me. Gameplay is great and expanded on, but everything else about that game just felt bloated and poorly written/designed. Haven't touched a new Gearbox title since.
I feel like this video, especially the second half of it, fails to understand WHY these games were such disasters compared to their hype. Like yes saying a game is boring or buggy repeatedly is true to the criticisms but in the case of say Anthem it was BioWare’s next big thing a studio which really only had one blight on it at that point. Say what you will about the gameplay but it looked fantastic and there were so many expectations around the quality of story that BioWare had been putting out that you’d be insane to predict how Anthem released. Same with The Order 1886 the game was great and looked amazing truly showing the jump from ps3 to ps4, the main problem it has was that it just ended so quickly. Like it was a glorified tech demo, but you wouldn’t know that from hype and pre-release.
This whole video talks about how these games were bad and all that but it fails to really understand why they were so disappointing. A game you expect to be bad won’t disappoint you the way something you think is going to be amazing will. A lot of “why was this game hyped” looking back in the video but not enough analyzing the promises made before release.
I was looking forward to playing suicide squad kill the justice league then I heard about how bad the game was so I decided not to buy because it was a waste of money and it wasted 2 years of my life.
Watch dogs ??????
You forgot Jump Force also it was hype for the trailer but in Game final it was disappointing, Story mode is terrible, forgettable characters like: Hinata (Wife of Naruto) Ussop (One Piece) Bills (Dragon Ball super) , modes likes: Costumes, Arcade Mode, Challengers o Mini-games, ending characters. etc
I think worst is a critical darling that you play and it's complete butt
