this was a great video. i see the appeal in using red + aerith now especially with the bodyguard skill. and i had no idea that you could have more than 1 ward on the field, so this video helps a great ton.
Loved the Stop debuff when enemies staggered. Tried it and it synergizes well woth ATB stagger, when your controlled character staggers, you always have the ATB to cast Stop on them and do crazy damage
2:16 You can also use Reverse Gale to get Tifa in the air, and also using Reverse Gale in the air does a big attack that brings her back down to the ground.
The Auto Ability for Tifa is excellent knowledge, i wasted so much stagger time manually doing these for Tifa when i could have been dishing out the pain with with Prime mode on Cloud or doing attacks with other characters SMH.
Also with Cloud if u hold the analoge stick in the opposite direction of an enemy while spamming dodge and attack you will do a mini blade beam attack to hit ranged foes while on the ground its super fast too
The direction of the analogue stick doesn't matter for this, just tap square repeatedly after dodging for a combo with four blade beams, the fourth being a multi hit. Works both on the ground and in the air.
I know one. Get Chocobo Bracelet. Finish game so you can get added exp and AP. Attach AP up materia with materia you wanna level up. Go to Musclehead Colleseum. Fight 2 part 1 and repeat and repeat
Aerith has a synergy called "combat savior" which is exactly that but she only has it with certain characters. Otherwise no, you've got to switch to the character to attack.
If your in a bind with 2 ko'd characters if you have enough synergy u can actually do a command with a backline character (someone not in the main party) saved me a few times
It's in the lower left hand corner when choosing an ability. It appears as a filled in bar and an empty bar typically. It denotes that you gain a synergy charge when using the ability. Weapon abilities will give them but folio abilities will not
Yo that background made me want to walk into oncoming traffic. It causes a serious distraction when trying to listen and focus. Maybe you’re are learning editing and just trying new things out. Trial and error is a part of learning. It almost resembled a morning alarm clock. Next time brother, just open with some background and then box that junk up. Then, just leave it to you talking and the actual sound effects.
@@kewincesar6956 yeah I can see that a lot of time and attention and detail went into all of these combat elements that are happening so cluttered together…and moving so fast that I don’t have any time to make impactful decisions and engage with any of them 😂 not for lack of trying. Every battle is like a blur of whacks and zaps and numbers flying across the screen lol
@@SpiralCasterPlaysPedals It def is a fast game with a decent learning curve but once you get into "the flow" of good & optimized combat it becomes really addictive. Same thing happened to me in Remake, it look a few hours to finally get into how to optimize your characters and combat. I haven't played Remake in a year and I can tell I'm rusty with Rebirth but know I'll get back into how I was in Remake.

Always happy when I see "MAX BLUMENTHAL" flash on the bottom of the screen. Tells me I'm gonna get some juicy content
The bodyguad tip with Red 13 is one of the best tips ever!
never knew stop paused the stagger bar. not that I've needed it, but time to obliterate enemies even harder. Thanks!
Finally, someone who knows how to play and do their job at the same time! Great guide!

7:25 probably the best tip
I’ve gone up to chapter 8 and have some materia with 0 exp🤦♂️
that was the main lesson I got from remake, always level up the materias, and aim for braces with slots rather than stats
Thanks you guys are always helpful 😊

The Tifa auto ability materia trick is genius… thanks for that I would have never figured that out on my own
i'm a fan! i watched your zelda vids and they were sick! great that you're doing ff combat guides!
Super valuable tips, thanks!
07:30 Barret: 'the planet's dying cloud' 😂
Wow, amazing tips!!!
The Auto Ability for Tifa is excellent knowledge, i wasted so much stagger time manually doing these for Tifa when i could have been dishing out the pain with with Prime mode on Cloud or doing attacks with other characters SMH.
you can do disorder to go up and them brave to god down
Very good tips
I have all these plans in my head when i go into battle and then by the time i start to think they are dead.
Didn’t know about the multiple wards thing with the ward shift and figured it was only for an alternate dodge move
To bad they never have atb unless you take control yourself 🤦♂️ so I gotta spend half the battle just so she can have some wards? Not worth it
Teammates sitting on ATB. My teammates never have any freaking ATB. Aerith stands still and swing her little staff like once every 5 seconds lol
Exactly teammates in this game are freaking useless
The ATB situation was wayy better in ReMake. Can barely make a charge with an active character in Rebirth...

Will people in the backline like having Aerith with auto-cast heal, heal the main party in a fight?
I added mug to tifas combat shortcut for a launch as it brings you towards the enemy.. I’m trying to see if it works with red or barret
Dude that is genius. Definitely doing that now
If you dodge towards an enemy and then quickly press square, she will zoom towards them.
@@DanBurtonCodes mug will lift her in the air and drag her across the screen if it’s a flying enemy is the point plus steal…
How to get AP fast would be good to know. Takes forever to level up materia!
I know one. Get Chocobo Bracelet. Finish game so you can get added exp and AP. Attach AP up materia with materia you wanna level up. Go to Musclehead Colleseum. Fight 2 part 1 and repeat and repeat
Wow, y'all totally broke the game. Enemies are stressed lol.
I’d say they are… Pressured 👀
2:26 what does red 13 have?
is there a way to command your team mates to attack the same target that i am locked on to?
Aerith has a synergy called "combat savior" which is exactly that but she only has it with certain characters. Otherwise no, you've got to switch to the character to attack.
ABS Always Be Switching... characters.
Wait cloud can self berserk?! When was this explained
It was on remake as well
Except Red XIII doesn't really have any range attacks or a way to get airborne 2:14
He has Stardust Ray as a large AOE attack, and Vengeance Mode increases the range of most of his attacks to hit aerial foes
😂😂😂
If you hold square, his spinning attack will hit enemies flying above him.
I never play as cait, thankfully all other characters are fun to play.
If your in a bind with 2 ko'd characters if you have enough synergy u can actually do a command with a backline character (someone not in the main party) saved me a few times
can u still dodge over charging enemies?
WTH is a “pip” icon for synergy ability? I’ve been pausing and looking and i still don’t see what icon he’s talking about.
It's in the lower left hand corner when choosing an ability. It appears as a filled in bar and an empty bar typically. It denotes that you gain a synergy charge when using the ability. Weapon abilities will give them but folio abilities will not
Milk Yuffie? Okay
Hey is it true the backline has no ap materia growth?
Tf? Did you not watch the video
No ha , as long as it's not a story bit with less party members or the combat simulator, then yes ap is shared evenly
roll then hold square to do aerial attack! wish i knew that 3 chapters ago
Ket shee
“140 hours Mostly in combat”. What did you do, combat simulator for a majority of the time?
EEEEEAT YOOOOOUR VEGETABLESSSSE! 🍆 🌽 🫛
So is Red a ranged fighter then???Oo
TIL Aerith can use multiple wards.

R u ok?
I genuinely hate the combat in this game
Why? Every character feels so unique and there's so many ways to adapt and strategize.
