47:03 you asked for a land that’s a wizard so you can step through for it. That actually exists, it’s called umara wizard. It’s an mdfc land from zendikar rising.
I've been waiting for this deck! Been arguing with people that Nadu is a fit for Breakfast because drawing 6 in a combo deck is more than good enough; you dont need the Nadu combo. Cool that this still has a Field of the Dead. Let's see how it plays!
Yeah I honestly thought Nadu just goes straight into breakfast. It's another creature combo deck, it has a lot of overlap in combos, Nadu can be fetched off of step through to win on a non GY angle.
10:22 Hedge maze first could've been the play to filter the top card and draw a good one instead. Since the first card actually was narcomoeba, that would've been additional 2 draws too. You would've drawn the fetch land and been able to play the halfling + 2 more draws etc.
I really wish they'd stop making all these eternal format legal universes beyond that then bring tons of problems getting them to the main place where these eternal formats are played.
@@sy-pyCompeltely agree. Wizards could make a secret lair with the cards needing to get out online or make them a promo for an event… just get them in universe and online.
10:43 I feel like playing the hedge maze before trying any flips with Nadu here would’ve made more sense, since any lands you hit off Nadu go into play anyway and that extra bit of selection can’t hurt. This line would’ve put that narcomeba into play instead of your hand and hitting that land means you could put the halfling into play for at least 4 more flips.
Playing Hedge maze at 10:20 before activating Shuko could have potentially stabilised the game? It would have let you find the halfling and mana to cast it for two more looks which might still not have been enough but it was an available line
47:34 I believe you could play Shuko and attack for same 2 damage, but with Shuko already in play. Or was it playing around sandbagged counterspell? Or I am overthinking it? XD
@ 22:30 wouldn’t it have been better to play the archive first and use the narcomeba to flashback therapy? Then you could have played both nomads and halfling next turn
I found a combo with one of the new MH3 cards. Card is called Evolution witness. Combo is Evolution witness + Luminarch Aspirant + wasteland. This is a lock. Second combo is Evolution witness + Luminarch aspirant + mishras bauble. Draw +1 per turn. Third, Evolution witness + Lumiarch aspirant + any fetch land. Land every turn. Many other combos to be made just showing the idea of my combo. this is kind of like lurris but 2 creatures instead of just lurris. Also works with ornery tumblewagg/ Siege veteran. and other cards like this. Im still looking at the different combos with it. Could be good. @BoshNRoll take a look here! Maybe good you decide!
I wonder if you just keep it at 60 cards and cut step through and maybe one teferi to get in 2 Nadu and up the consistency and resilience to graveyard hate
This is the next deck I'm looking to build and play so great content! Out of curiosity when you flash back the Therapy at around 22:20 why not name bridge and then surgical bridge?
Although Nadu wins games out of nowhere, as you said, this deck has a lot of air in it. Yorion makes the air even more abundant. Maybe a non yorion build could do better, maybe.
Haven't watched the video but hey at least Nadu's ability only triggers twice per turn! If you could trigger it more it would probably be really strong to say the least...
At 10:21 I think you were supposed to play Hedge Maze and surveil before flipping Nadu cards. Since Nadu will always put lands into play, he will never put an untapped land into hand to play for turn. Also, the line would have ended up really good. The maze would have happened to mill narco, meaning 2 more Nadu triggers which would have drawn halfling and the misty to play halfling and get 2 more triggers. There was no way to know it would have been THAT good, but still correct to surveil first
Round 2 when you brainstormed into a creature to flash back therapy and hit their narcomebas, instead of playing halfling from hand to sac to therapy, couldn't you have put your narcomeba on top, milled it with meticulous archive, then sacrificed that? You still end up with dread return in hand and cleared one brainstorm card, but you get your tapped land out of the way a turn earlier and get extra mana by keeping the halfling around.
I tryed Nadu in the 60 version and dont like it to be honest. The 60 card cephalid deck is very stocked. I had been having a very hard time winning since I put Nadu in the deck. Manabase suffers a lot vs wasteland and moon effects. Been loosing every game that I have Nadu in the field. And also mull much more often. Many times that I draw him, was situations that if was stoneforge, I could win next turn. I can see how in a 80 deck can work... But I not having any luck in my 60 card version. I did came back to the normal version of cephalid (no Nadu), but still thinking that I just play badly with the nadu version. I will test it more later but until now... Didn't like him.
An octopus magician and a bird wizard walk into a breakfast bar…
"And my deck is called... 'It doesn't matter, because my commander is a bird, who is also a wizard!'"
It beats Bear Force One
I’ve been attacked. I am always the guy at the lgs making the manalesss dredge joke lol
There’s always one
@@BoshNRollWe do it to feel better about losing the die roll.

Really cool deck! Shout-out modo for making you play "find the creature" when doing nadu combo
HECK YEAH LETS GO! More Nadu stuff! cant wait how it goes!
46:56 Hilariously, Umara Wizard from Zendikar Rising is a Wizard MDFC land. It sucks, but it is what you want lol
The ever looming curse of Magic players forgetting to specify they want an *untapped* land.

That round 3 finesse with nadu was great to see

This is the type of deck that might get me to try playing legacy in paper. Love the bird!
46:55 There is land that is a Wizard. Umara Wizard is a tapped blue land on the backside.
The deck's proper (read:confusing) name is Chicken and Waffles
i support this proposition
"Nadu's gigantic ass saving the day here" lmao bless the thiccness
I really wish they'd stop making all these eternal format legal universes beyond that then bring tons of problems getting them to the main place where these eternal formats are played.
I really wish they'd make it easier to put the ub cards to mtgo instead
@@sy-pyCompeltely agree. Wizards could make a secret lair with the cards needing to get out online or make them a promo for an event… just get them in universe and online.
if a bosh pack be thine, fry it up like bacon and savor the smoky breakfast delight
That round 3 match is easily one of the craziest combo turns I've seen.

The name your looking for is "Big Bird Brunch"
been trying to find a solution for the bird before cowtown and i think the only one ive found is smoking on that bosh pack
Bolt the bird has a new meaning.
Even better that it live through bolt
@@jaredschroeder7555 Not only does the bird survive the bolt, it also draws a card to spite you for trying

alright this is the best video title of all time
Nadu breakfast is what I want to bre for cedh. With Tymna Thras
HELL YEAH FROOT LOOPS BABYYY
what would have been the list with the pre-war formalwear? thanks ^_^
I didnt know you could actually play manaless dredge in legacy since you dont have bazaar. Thats wild
@ 22:30 wouldn’t it have been better to play the archive first and use the narcomeba to flashback therapy? Then you could have played both nomads and halfling next turn

Shouldn't ey rename nadu build into Bird & Breakfast?
I wonder if you just keep it at 60 cards and cut step through and maybe one teferi to get in 2 Nadu and up the consistency and resilience to graveyard hate
Let’s figure out nadu beans one way or another

Did you replace the Formalwear from the original donation list with a land?
I think so? Been a week since I recorded this

whats the name of the intro music?
Your game 3 against stiflenought was so ridiculous.
round 3 is crazy
I vote that we call this deck second breakfast.
The Bosh pack is loud tonight boys😮💨😮💨
I played a lot of Yorion on Modern, when it was legal. I feel like 29 lands is the absolute minimum you need for a functioning Yorion list.
Haven't watched the video but hey at least Nadu's ability only triggers twice per turn!

Great stuff! Is it just me or is your microphone dieing?
It’s been giving me problems lately. Working on fixing or replacing it
1 month legal?... maybe 2?
i dont understand why they cant just do universes within versions for mtgo right away
Alternative deckname:
Cephalid Beakfast
Great take
fun deck
There is a bad Wizard-Land DFC.
It's a 5 drop creature and ETB tapped.
Prob not worth it for Step Through to do a very bad Lorien impression

Can this deck be called chicken and waffles? It's based on birds (4 Nadu + Yorion) and has a breakfast shell. Birds + Breakfast = Chicken and Waffles!
Big bowl of fruit loops
🦜⚱️🃏🃏🌲🌲
I think Nadu should want pure UGW breakfast, not splashing black to cast spells.
