00:40 - I can't commit to building a specific deck to start off in Legacy, mostly because the lists I want to build all use Bowmasters and I just know that the moment I buy them it'll get banned to protect U/R/x nonsense decks like WotC always does. That, and it feels like there's been so much negativity and doom-saying about the game lately (to the point where I've had to block some channels that just never shut up about how the game should cater exclusively to their preferences and no one else) that's it's hard to really want to play for me (depression *suuuuuuuuuuucks* hard sometimes).
@@jamisonphethean haven't considered that. Still trying to figure out which version I want to build first, or if I want to do Vial first instead; it's been hard for me to settle on an archetype to start with, even though I've been trying to figure it out for about 3 years now :(
Bowmasters feels a little too powerful for Legacy. It’s nice to see black back in the format but an unanswered bowmaster in response to a brainstorm on turn 1.5 is game winning. Beseech is also busted.
Legacy is in the best place it's been in a long time. Modern is a crock of shit again just as bad as Oko or Hogaak days. 4c Moneypile decks are near impossible to beat, and they just keep adding the most expensive new cards from each new set with no downside. Can't speak for other formats but still play old school and Premodern which are consistently great because there is no wotc interference
Ironic that Breakfast got worse with LOTR. Needs a second breakfast.
So true.
I would wager that lightning bolt has won (finished ) more games of magic than any other card. Anyone have a better candidate?
Guess your right and its the all time most played card for sure
Lightning bolt is probably number one.
Which is ironic because lightning strikes on people are very rare irl

I mean bowmasters has boosted U/R/x decks, but they probably will still ban it
Hope you feel better. Don't overthink it. Build a deck and start playing.
Druid seems to accomplish what EI did just with lesser impact
Maybe!
Druid feels amazing in Modern alongside Ragavan and EI
I'm tempted to try Druid in Applejacks, might be good there.
@@nicholasfarrell5981 the cereal?
@@jamisonphethean R/G deck that uses Orcish Lumberjack to jump the curve.
@@nicholasfarrell5981 ahhhh cute. Strike it Rich too? 👀

Wallet fatigue 😢
Stopped playing for 8months
Good to take a break once in a while.
Yeah I’m concerned about the lack of beans in mtg
Lots of people talking about beans lately.

Beseech is really good, but also really really susceptible to interaction
It doesn’t feel too powerful to me. -Chris

I like that Modern is in a position where cards like Preordain can start getting removed from the banned list. -Chris
