Out of all the foldable sawhorse videos that I've seen on RUclips, this one is the simplest (and I'm saying that in the BEST possible way). Thank you. I think even I can build this.
I like this idea very much foldable light weight and sturdy enough for any project great job I’m definitely going to build a set this is the design I’ve been looking for
Genius! I wonder if this same horse could be done from 2x4s? I got eight spare 2x4s in the shed and would love to try... My cheap plastic saw horses are way too wobbly.
@@AlansWoodworking I tried to copy your creation just now, although not nearly as nice as yours mine will suffice quite nicely, keep those brilliant ideas coming my friend.
Hi. The angle I wound up with was 40 degrees. It wasn't a deliberate choice, but depended on the length of the folding cross pieces. I adjusted those to get the height I wanted.
Hi Mike. The tool is the Veritas Corner Tool. I bought mine in australia years ago, but I guess you could get them online these days. They're not cheap and they have limitations (can't use them against the grain) but they're a lot faster and convenient than using a router in a lot of cases. Have fun, Alan
Hey Alan!! Wondering if you have a rough estimate for how much these weigh? Looking to make some for my craft show table pop-ups and am being very concious about weight!
Hi Morgan. The sawhorse weighs 6 kg or 13.22 lbs. I used 90mm stock because that's what I had in the shop, but if weight is an issue you could probably use 70mm without sacrificing too much strength
Sorry for the late reply. There are 4 horizontal sections each 75cm long, 4 upright pieces 88cm long and the folding cross brace is 2 pieces each 24cm long. The timber is 90mm by 20mm and the hinges are 90mm wide

@@AlansWoodworking We use inches and feet around here. Me thinks is what the question was regarding sir. And what height did you prefer? Excellent video mate.
I’ve watched a few videos on this in preparation of making a couple and this will be the one I build. Thank you!
I'm glad you like it!
Same here, thanks to the author

@@AlansWoodworking thank you so much, have a nice evening!
The design puts all of the stress vectors through the hinge. Think about it!
It's a sawhorse. The minimal weight is directed down through the legs.
Where did you get the tool used to round over the edges? I really like the pull action of it.

Hi what timber size did you use?
I used 90mm by 12.5mm because that's what I had in the shop.
No measurements, angles?
The measurements are in the description

@@dshupin9648 I wanted the saw horse to be the same height as the bench
