you can get a lot of them if you just walk to another part of the cave and walk back. they respawn diff pals everytime you leave even if you caught them already.
I built my base not so far from there. The only downside was it was not a flat surface therefore I had readjust by building wood floors there. There is something like 6 mining spots which is quite nice

Just curious, what caused the recent interest in MH world? And why World and not the newer Rise? I loved both world and Rise and still play a bit on Rise here and there. was thinking about getting the DLC for Rise as well but maybe I should hop back into World if it's super popular now.

There's another good area for Ore, Southwest of Kingpaca in the Autumn wilds. There's a spot with 5 or 6 Ore nodes but there's also a large flat area above it so you could actually use it as a home base if you put the palbox up against the rocks and build some stairs.
Penkings are really usefull for the mining base, as they can both water the crops and have mining 2 so they can mine the ore. They can be gotten from large damp eggs or north of the mining base location from a boss.
I’ve found them south of the map in the island “pal sanctuary” you can avoid the criminal alert by staying on a flying mount while fighting/capturing pals. Happy hunting everyone!
Just as a note: only Pals with mining lvl TWO can mine Ore nodes, so you can replace those Fuddlers with someone else that either mines or transports. I personally recommend Vanwyrms for early transport, you can find em around the "Ravine Entrance" waypoint. They'll be around lvls 11-16 so a decently easy early catch and they have THREE transport so they can fly around and store those ores really quick.
I have like 4 of those guys and their sanity tends to drop faster than anything else, they're so big they get stuck on stuff constantly and starve, and they get sick a lot. I eventually swapped them out because I got tired of having to babysit them
if you put the pal equipment on one of these and use the drill force mode it offers, it’ll clear all 8 nodes 650+ ore in a couple of minutes. Since I found this I’ve switched back to manual mining on demand
@@joshuafurr9439 yeah the devs really need to fix that issue with them getting stuck. it happens with other big pals too, where somehow they get stuck on top of things and they just stay there starving.
For the ore base, I suggest getting a Penking instead of the smaller penguin, as it also has level 2 mining and transport along with watering level 2, so while your berry farm isn’t in need of water it will go out and mine. Penkings are super common from the Large Damp eggs you can find around the world.
I find using the autumn location for ore farming better, you get woods coz its surrounded with trees. Put tombats, penguillets and tanzees which are easy access coz theyre in starting locations. Tombats do mining and package, penguilletts do watering and packaging and tanzees farming and lumbering with package as well. Overall in the long run you wont run ouy of woods either then just place your main base with some stone nodes and you wont need to place mining and lumbering sites which free space for other structures to put and decorate
On your second base, you can actually walk far enough way while placing a foundation that you can raise it up out of the ground and then place a staircase going into the ground. If youre worried about the weird look of what you had to build for the beds. Also get you a couple of Digtoise. Lvl 3 mining(spawns northern area of the desert to the north[beware here though as there are 2 lvl 50 Legendary Pals], or in the smaller desert region around Anubis[a lvl 40+ Pal]) Or Reptyro(spawns at the volcanic region, not the smaller crag area to the east), has a lvl 3 mining plus lvl 3 kindling so you can have it double as your miner and smelter.[almost everything here will be roughly lvl 30 or higher.]
Also foundations fully support a 3x3 area around them with 4 additional locations of support at the middle of each side of the 3x3. It also appears as though they fully support in this area no matter how high you build. And ONLY foundations provide support, nothing else does, as nothing can be placed without first placing a foundation. The building and worker AI pathing are just about the only things I'd say for sure need work. If you're ever confused about why a Pal is doing bad and you can't find them, or can't pick them up bc they're currently working, just put them back in the box and back in as a worker. Try to start mass producing Cake because it restores ~80 SAN as well 600+ nutrition. So anytime any of your workers SAN drops below 40 just give them a cake and they'll be perfectly fine again. (get you an Elizabee/Beegarde for honey or hunt cinnamoth for their drops, get you a Mozzarina for milk, chikipi for eggs and hunt Dinossum for wheat seeds. Or if you'd rather hunt for cake, go to the same area that Anubis is in at night and hunt Lovander as they have a small chance at dropping cake, my testing showed at least 1 of 6/7 dropped cake whether capturing or hunting)
The problem with this automatic metal farm is that you have to be "AFK" in that base in order to work. As soon as I go outside the base and explore further part of the map, the "game system" will automatically stop the pals from mining those metal Boulders. [I know this because I often explore the world map, and every time when I go back to this base after exploration, the ores accumulated in the chest is only increase by 2-3 ores, and sometimes none at all!] So...this is only an automatic metal farm ONLY IF you are afking in the "metal farming" Base (not when you go out and explore).
I hope the dedicated server pal farming gets fixed soon, not being able to afk farm ore hurts my progression so much. Can't wait to try these when that time comes!

I haven't had this problem at all. When I've gotten home from work the past couple days, I've had around 500-600 ores to smelt. I run my own dedicated server.
Vixy are also vary difficult to catch once they spot you and engage in combat. They will just kick the ball away while trying to attack you. I had to either capture them from behind or while sleeping to make it really easy
No way. I forced my pink Kat to mine ore because I saw it mine rocks earlier. It refused, so I used the technology points to buy the Butcher's knife. RIP pink level 1 mining cat. I wish I saw this comment earlier... oh well.
I thought I was going nuts with the Rushboar when I was setting up my Ore Base. At one point I destroyed the whole thing cause I thought it was glitched. So I put ol faithful Tombat and saw he had mining 2, then it clicked lol@@BROADBANNED
Best part about a lot of dark pals, is they really don't sleep anyway! They take "breaks" when sanity is low pretty sure. tombat gotta be S tier for early-mid game. So much to learn about the game rn @@BROADBANNED
Off topic but did they decrease the shiny/lucky rate? I only found two ever and when I saw RUclipsrs playing early they all had A LOT of them. I’m know 25 hours in.
The ore base area is both amazing and annoying as some of the pals falls down and bugs out on multiplayer servers, so you have to make sure that you pull them in and pull out of the palbox when you notice that the pals is not doing task or missing.
I have my base set up the same way. However, I can't get the box to active after I'm loaded down with ore. I look around trying to get the fast travel to appear but it doesn't and remains focused on my storage box.
Anyone tried combining a bunch of Vixys to get better items from them? Since that levels up their partner skill I wonder if it would just increase the amount you get, or if you get better items that way..
Combining them increases the amount of each drop up to 10 I believe, but if you give them additional Work Speed from breeding that seems to affect how often they dig up stuff as well. You can usually just max out a single Pal in your Ranch and grab a ton of different ones to help you with stuff like Cake for breeding.
The ore requires mining lvl 2. So the Tombats are the only Pals actually mining in this video. Until getting more lvl 2 miners, you’d be better off boxing the lvl 1’s so they aren’t taking up food resources unless there is also stone nearby.
There is a location not far from your ore base that has more ore and more open space, if you know where the small settlement is there is a giant stone bridge, on the other side of the bridge to the left there is the location. The area would be yellow on the map and the areas season is fall
I'd love to see a video on top 10 base locations; Not for Ore, or materials. Just overall base locations; Trying to find a good open flat area or something to devote for a base
Autumn area, abandoned church. Huge flat area behind it. Has like... 8? Maybe more, ore deposits and tons of trees. It's lacking in the stone department, but it is otherwise an absolute banger of a location, looks fantastic too all around. It's kind of situated equally between the two large rock formations that jut out in to the sky. Think pride rock from the lion King. There is a fast travel location at the church also. Can't miss it.
I've found this one base location that seems to only be attackable from flying raids, its on a giant corcular structure at the foot of the tundra mountain (i do not know if raids will only spawn as flying raids there, or if ground raids can just scale up the side like its just a singular stair, but it may be worth trying out)
I did the same thing with the second base for the ore, but I found a better spot. It’s in the red zone that’s also close to spawn near a fast travel zone. There are a bunch of them, more than that spot and they are really close together so the Pals don’t have to move as far
So for anyone that's having issues with their pals not mining ore, I think you need a pal with at least level 2 mining for them to be able to mine the ore
I set up my metal base in the same spot lmao. Heard a rumor that there's a good spot in the top right of the map that has a lot of ore AND coal nodes to set up a refined ingot base. I mad some furnaces at my metal base so I can make the ingots at both bases without taking up too many slots for Kindling pals in the main base. You won't need more than a few Mining 2 or 3 to keep up with the node respawn rate ime. I don't have an auto feed farm there because I dropped about 700 baked berries in the feed bowl. Lasts quite a while with no raids
You can also use the grappling gun to move around when you’re over encumbered. That 10 second cool down sucks to wait for, but it does the job. I set up my ore farm behind the church in that red forest area and while the area you showed is probably a better ore farm, the amount of trees all over the place in my ore farm make it a good area to stick a couple of deer to get some wood and fiber. The terrain is a bit of a pain though so strictly a secondary base location but there are a ton of ore nodes there too.
I actually made that area by the church into my main base. It's not optimal now that I've had time to see more locations, but I've already set up way too much manufacturing infrastructure there to want to tear it down.

the deer pal, idk how to spell it, but the purple deer can be used for that as well, the antler uppercut still works when you have too much weight on you. It doesn't move as far as normal and moves less the more you have, but if it's under 50 over, it's better than nothing. I didnt know about the grappling gun though. I'll have to make the upgraded version of it, dropping the ore and moving 2 steps just to pick it up and repeat get's annoying lol
There is a spawn (Forgotten Island) location on the top left of the map with a collection of islands. There are two dungeons there les then a minute away from spawn. You want the one next to a big rib cage in the middle of a small pond. First chamber in that dungeon you will find a few mole guys and two mau. Every time the dungeon resets you can grab two more. In front of this dungeon is a pretty good starter base to.
there's a pal to the west in the desert area with the Anubis boss called Digtoise that have level 3 mining but the downside of that rather than Tombat is Digtoise only has mining and nothing else.
pro tip: get the pal extractor and you can compress 4 pals of the exact same type to upgrade one pal. This is shown by the stars on the pal. It increases the level if their ability, which means faster farming and faster mounts!
I love how fire creatures aluminate dark caves. "When you summon it." I think this game is "Objectively IS." Blatantly ripping off multiple other games and to an extent I am okay with that. What they and anybody else creating anything NEEDS to do, is make a unique UI, Flora, Fauna, ecosystem, history, politics and ect. When I look at this game it IS NOT new and or creative. IT IS a cookie cutter COPY of MULTIBLE other games. Which to an EXTENT "I think." is okay. Again while watching this game it has many great qualities/features of other games, which definitely makes it a 10/10 FUN game. What I want though is for it to LOOK like its own game and not like anybody else's... WOOT WOOT games are fun, THANK you for making this video.
Vixy is convenient very early on, but quickly you will need better palspheres. They can produce a better quality, but you will have to condense a ton of them - and by that time you will likely still need even better spheres. And for ammo production to be worthwhile, you would need entire base dedicated for ranch. Mau are inefficient in terms of money making - just make and sell nails - that is you hands down best, relatively early option for tons of money. Later on, if you want a fully hands off approach, capture Sibelyx - when on ranch, they produce high quality cloth, which has decent value. You will need a dedicated ranching base - you can sustain 3 farms with 4 pals on it + remaining 3 dealing with food production, cooking and hauling. While on the go, breed Sibelyxes to eventually condense them into your farming ones - condensed ranching pals produce more.
Mau's are found in Cave Dungeons but other then gold farming there not worth it. While the idea of building a Second base on Ore isn't the best tbh due to the issue that Regions/chucks unload on the game if your away from them meaning nothing at the second base will "work" and your pals at the second base will slowly start to die from there stats draining, It's a bug right now but just a heads up to anyone wanting to do this as it's not a good idea on a Server (Single player is okay ish) unless you want to make meds non stop, With that It's best to make a base near 1-2 Metal Ores and keep that as your main base overall as you'll be active in the area so the region/chuck doesn't unload when you try to hop from base to base also it's best to go to the desert and catch some mining Turtles as they have level 3 in mining (There 10x better then the Dark Cats). Vixy isn't bad for lower end catching but isn't great for med game, There is much better way to get lots of starting balls by using the Cave Dungeons and mining the shards in there. Each run you'll leave with around 80-200 Shards and there is caves all over the map ranging from level 8-13, You'll be able to mass produce the starting balls like nothing then waiting awhile for a few from Vixy's, Your better off farming Wool then anything else tbh as Wool is heavily required in mid/late game while even some of the other Element items as those are required mid/late game too. There is also a better spot for ores too on the map that offers a major chuck of open land and around 7 Ore nodes and 5 Stone nodes + trees, There is places all over the map with lots of ores and stuff just need to find them but like I said, It's pointless to have more then 1-2 ores in a base as you won't be able to have your pals mine them all as it is with 5 Turtles can handle around 3 nodes at a time and the nodes tend to respawn fast so more nodes = bad unless you plan to mine them yourself and tbh That is faster at the end of the day.
Ore mining and keeping ingots is literally the only thing my current base lacks. Everything else runs practically without my input at all now, except for those DAMN ore inguts. EVERYTHING seemingly uses them and everytime I have some they burn out as fast as I make them or get more ore. I carry at least 500lbs of them minimal per trip out but they always run through so fast.
I'm a gamer, I typically never look past or avoid any dead end, but bro... I've been capturing everything and for whatever reason, I was like "f*ck you Vixy" and have always killed them for leather. HOW am I 17 hours and just now learning this lmao! Great content though!
The thing is Ore Farms are not so much aumated. The problem there is tha t you have to be on base in order your pals to actually see natural spawned ore which is really annoying. You can forget about it until you get Blazemut because with iron pickaxe and garpoon you actually farm these faster than your 3 lvl mining pals. The only reason to build the farm really is to alt tab afking but I find this very very boring.
I thought this game was a joke. Like Goat Sim. Where people pretend it’s GOTY. I was wrong. It’s 500% a Pokémon copy/paste with the exact same eye models on many of the “animals”. Lol.
Fun fact, all raid pals always travel in a linear predesigned path and you are able to build outside of the base zone, so you could build a ramp leading into a box with to buy yourself some breathing room and potential raid pal farming
unless you turn off degredation, people have been complaining that building stuff outside of base will end with it degrading to 0 and breaking without getting your resources back.
Yeah you'll need to turn off degradation(slide it to 0) for that to be effective. You'll still get about 3 or 4 days(irl) at vanilla settings of play out of it but it will eventually degrade away. Thats why the first setting I change is degradation. being limited to the small area of your palbox irks me.
Maus from dungeon first second your first base needs merged with second as u need a base to mine coal sulfur and blue rock, 3rd my main base is at your second base lvl 30 raiders will cross bridge once ur base reaches lvl 15 and will get over ran without defending bridge, also u can build up on to rocks using them for craming bases together, ull see late game 1 base for iron 1 base for gunpowder is needed also grappling gun helps when over weight
Find a large damp. Egg and hatch a penking dude is fucking great for starting out he can water and work on the farm really well and mine came with the ability to give me 10% more attack and 15%more space to carry items and has bonus work speed I found the damp egg in the middle of that skull Island
So I actually found this spot on my own and built my base there before seeing this but my Level 2 mining Pals do not mine ore and says cant be assigned. Anyone know wht? Is it a Console thing? Ive just been doing it myself but kinda annoying.
Whats funny is this is the exact place ive had my two bases for the last couple days. Lol. I chose the waterfall to be eaily defenable and the iron farm obviously Also on the ore base there will be flying pal at highery level. And if they attack that ore farm all your pals are screwwed. Not enough room for defense stuff so yea
Mau’s are in dungeons but you can also buy them from the black market merchants. They’re not too expensive. I believe around 2k gold but it’s been awhile since I bought any pals from a black market guy.

Mass transferring materials is such a pain. They should just add in a feature to the base level progression of "shared inventory slot." Every couple levels, you get another one and put a cap on it. Drop in mats to share between bases.
Hopefully you'll get bored by this game before lawsuit from Nintendo comes xD (I seriously don't like Nintendo at all, but here, the 'inspiration' is obvious :P)
Idk if it's me or xbox version, but I'll visit my ore farm every couple days and there will be maybe 80 ore....all pal fed, happy, strong, but no production. Using dumuds and digtoise, verdash, etc...
I spent an hour today looking for tombats... yesterday they were everywhere and in my new game just cant find them ... turning my server settings to have longest nights and short days so i can spend more than 20 minufes looking
im playing with a friend and i have the exact same ore farm, but my pals only seem to work when i am around, if i leave the base for some days and come back the box has only like 20-30 ores

I've tried setting this up with the turtles but it doesn't seem to work. They just go up to a node spin once and then go back to eat. Anyone know why the turtles just don't work? They also only seem to do 1 damage
I just took down my ore base from there because the worker pals kept wandering down a path to the side and then getting stuck in the mountain at the back - they'd starve, lose sanity, and eventually die.
anyone else has the issue that if you leave your base the digtoise doesnt seem to work ? i was like 15-20 min gone farming some pals got back and had like 4 ore in my chest so they didnt do like any work while i wasnt in base
7:37 You don't have to drop stuff on the ground. It's much faster if you use your grappling gun to move. It will let you move even if you are over the weight limit!
Vixys also drop gold. I never farmed Maus but I got tons of gold. Maus can be found inside dungeons. Look for level 13 dungeons and you can find a Mau.
Issue that a lot of people are running into is that they don’t mine the metal ore passively if you aren’t in or near the base. It seems like since they are not an asset you built, the pals don’t interact with them if you are too far away.
I got around this by building 2 bases next to each other at -69,-324. Good amount of space for a main base near the cliff and then you can make a mining base near all the ore nodes. At least when you in base, the mining will occur.
The Church is so-so in my experience, it's the best ore spot I've found but you get attacked pretty frequently. The spot mentioned in the video is mostly raid free, so it's the safer but weaker option. If you have a ton of strong Pals then feel free, but for most players I don't think it's a great suggestion.
Woolipops are in my opinion a waay better food source than berries n other foods, simply because woolipops only graze and the food they produce recovers sanity
I actually put my forge at my ore farm so I can just make it ingots there then I just come back every so often and pick up the ingots and take them back to the base
2 caves really on one is throw the ruins at the start of the game on the beach and the other is at the bottom of the hill we're it looks like the front of a church with a dude next to a camp fire go on the beach to the left follow it round 😊
Tombat only spawns at night witch might sound like a hassle but the plus side is that it will not go to sleep when the other pals do. It can keep mining at night
There is actually a better place that has ore and coal in one area that you make a base at instead. Two things instead of one, and you need a LOT of coal later on.
You can find Mau in the cave dungeons scattered around the map, there's usually 2-4 in the dungeons I've run.

Mau are only in dungeons. However Mau cryst are found in snowy regions and drop gold in a ranch as well.

I find using the autumn location for ore farming better, you get woods coz its surrounded with trees. Put tombats, penguillets and tanzees which are easy access coz theyre in starting locations. Tombats do mining and package, penguilletts do watering and packaging and tanzees farming and lumbering with package as well. Overall in the long run you wont run ouy of woods either then just place your main base with some stone nodes and you wont need to place mining and lumbering sites which free space for other structures to put and decorate

On your second base, you can actually walk far enough way while placing a foundation that you can raise it up out of the ground and then place a staircase going into the ground. If youre worried about the weird look of what you had to build for the beds.
Also get you a couple of Digtoise. Lvl 3 mining(spawns northern area of the desert to the north[beware here though as there are 2 lvl 50 Legendary Pals], or in the smaller desert region around Anubis[a lvl 40+ Pal])
Or
Reptyro(spawns at the volcanic region, not the smaller crag area to the east), has a lvl 3 mining plus lvl 3 kindling so you can have it double as your miner and smelter.[almost everything here will be roughly lvl 30 or higher.]
Also foundations fully support a 3x3 area around them with 4 additional locations of support at the middle of each side of the 3x3. It also appears as though they fully support in this area no matter how high you build.
And ONLY foundations provide support, nothing else does, as nothing can be placed without first placing a foundation. The building and worker AI pathing are just about the only things I'd say for sure need work.
If you're ever confused about why a Pal is doing bad and you can't find them, or can't pick them up bc they're currently working, just put them back in the box and back in as a worker. Try to start mass producing Cake because it restores ~80 SAN as well 600+ nutrition. So anytime any of your workers SAN drops below 40 just give them a cake and they'll be perfectly fine again.
(get you an Elizabee/Beegarde for honey or hunt cinnamoth for their drops, get you a Mozzarina for milk, chikipi for eggs and hunt Dinossum for wheat seeds. Or if you'd rather hunt for cake, go to the same area that Anubis is in at night and hunt Lovander as they have a small chance at dropping cake, my testing showed at least 1 of 6/7 dropped cake whether capturing or hunting)

The problem with this automatic metal farm is that you have to be "AFK" in that base in order to work. As soon as I go outside the base and explore further part of the map, the "game system" will automatically stop the pals from mining those metal Boulders. [I know this because I often explore the world map, and every time when I go back to this base after exploration, the ores accumulated in the chest is only increase by 2-3 ores, and sometimes none at all!]
So...this is only an automatic metal farm ONLY IF you are afking in the "metal farming" Base (not when you go out and explore).
A great mid game ore base is 191 -41. Coal and iron nodes for both normal and refined ingots
I hope the dedicated server pal farming gets fixed soon, not being able to afk farm ore hurts my progression so much. Can't wait to try these when that time comes!

I've had to put everyone in the palbox before logging off. Before, I kept logging on to nothing farmed and most of them sick and depressed
I haven't had this problem at all. When I've gotten home from work the past couple days, I've had around 500-600 ores to smelt. I run my own dedicated server.
Vixy are also vary difficult to catch once they spot you and engage in combat. They will just kick the ball away while trying to attack you. I had to either capture them from behind or while sleeping to make it really easy

No way. I forced my pink Kat to mine ore because I saw it mine rocks earlier. It refused, so I used the technology points to buy the Butcher's knife. RIP pink level 1 mining cat. I wish I saw this comment earlier... oh well.
I thought I was going nuts with the Rushboar when I was setting up my Ore Base. At one point I destroyed the whole thing cause I thought it was glitched. So I put ol faithful Tombat and saw he had mining 2, then it clicked lol@@BROADBANNED

Best part about a lot of dark pals, is they really don't sleep anyway! They take "breaks" when sanity is low pretty sure. tombat gotta be S tier for early-mid game. So much to learn about the game rn

Off topic but did they decrease the shiny/lucky rate? I only found two ever and when I saw RUclipsrs playing early they all had A LOT of them. I’m know 25 hours in.
The ore base area is both amazing and annoying as some of the pals falls down and bugs out on multiplayer servers, so you have to make sure that you pull them in and pull out of the palbox when you notice that the pals is not doing task or missing.
I have my base set up the same way. However, I can't get the box to active after I'm loaded down with ore. I look around trying to get the fast travel to appear but it doesn't and remains focused on my storage box.
Anyone tried combining a bunch of Vixys to get better items from them? Since that levels up their partner skill I wonder if it would just increase the amount you get, or if you get better items that way..
Combining them increases the amount of each drop up to 10 I believe, but if you give them additional Work Speed from breeding that seems to affect how often they dig up stuff as well.
You can usually just max out a single Pal in your Ranch and grab a ton of different ones to help you with stuff like Cake for breeding.
The ore requires mining lvl 2. So the Tombats are the only Pals actually mining in this video. Until getting more lvl 2 miners, you’d be better off boxing the lvl 1’s so they aren’t taking up food resources unless there is also stone nearby.
There is a location not far from your ore base that has more ore and more open space, if you know where the small settlement is there is a giant stone bridge, on the other side of the bridge to the left there is the location. The area would be yellow on the map and the areas season is fall
I'd love to see a video on top 10 base locations; Not for Ore, or materials. Just overall base locations; Trying to find a good open flat area or something to devote for a base
Autumn area, abandoned church. Huge flat area behind it. Has like... 8? Maybe more, ore deposits and tons of trees. It's lacking in the stone department, but it is otherwise an absolute banger of a location, looks fantastic too all around. It's kind of situated equally between the two large rock formations that jut out in to the sky. Think pride rock from the lion King. There is a fast travel location at the church also. Can't miss it.
I've found this one base location that seems to only be attackable from flying raids, its on a giant corcular structure at the foot of the tundra mountain (i do not know if raids will only spawn as flying raids there, or if ground raids can just scale up the side like its just a singular stair, but it may be worth trying out)

if you know where the 'relaxasaurus lux' boss fight is there is about 3 patches of flat land that are good base spots also dungeons spawn very close

I did the same thing with the second base for the ore, but I found a better spot. It’s in the red zone that’s also close to spawn near a fast travel zone. There are a bunch of them, more than that spot and they are really close together so the Pals don’t have to move as far

So for anyone that's having issues with their pals not mining ore, I think you need a pal with at least level 2 mining for them to be able to mine the ore
Digtoise is top tier for mining because he only has the ability to mine and its level 3
Digtoise has Lv3 mining and its so satisfying on how they mine. I have 6 of them doing the exact thing youre doing lol
theyre actually useless unless they're in your party and you have the key item, a lvl2 miner does more for an autofarm base
I set up my metal base in the same spot lmao. Heard a rumor that there's a good spot in the top right of the map that has a lot of ore AND coal nodes to set up a refined ingot base.
I mad some furnaces at my metal base so I can make the ingots at both bases without taking up too many slots for Kindling pals in the main base. You won't need more than a few Mining 2 or 3 to keep up with the node respawn rate ime. I don't have an auto feed farm there because I dropped about 700 baked berries in the feed bowl. Lasts quite a while with no raids
You can also use the grappling gun to move around when you’re over encumbered. That 10 second cool down sucks to wait for, but it does the job.
I set up my ore farm behind the church in that red forest area and while the area you showed is probably a better ore farm, the amount of trees all over the place in my ore farm make it a good area to stick a couple of deer to get some wood and fiber. The terrain is a bit of a pain though so strictly a secondary base location but there are a ton of ore nodes there too.
I actually made that area by the church into my main base. It's not optimal now that I've had time to see more locations, but I've already set up way too much manufacturing infrastructure there to want to tear it down.
btw if you use the grapple gun, go into inventory and swap slots with another tool the cooldown goes to 0

the deer pal, idk how to spell it, but the purple deer can be used for that as well, the antler uppercut still works when you have too much weight on you. It doesn't move as far as normal and moves less the more you have, but if it's under 50 over, it's better than nothing. I didnt know about the grappling gun though. I'll have to make the upgraded version of it, dropping the ore and moving 2 steps just to pick it up and repeat get's annoying lol

There is a spawn (Forgotten Island) location on the top left of the map with a collection of islands. There are two dungeons there les then a minute away from spawn. You want the one next to a big rib cage in the middle of a small pond. First chamber in that dungeon you will find a few mole guys and two mau. Every time the dungeon resets you can grab two more.
In front of this dungeon is a pretty good starter base to.
For my ore mine I found it way simpler to just have a smelter next to the ore chest, also made a berry plot so I don’t need to manually feed

There is a low level grass goat pal you can ranch for berries at the mining base
there's a pal to the west in the desert area with the Anubis boss called Digtoise that have level 3 mining but the downside of that rather than Tombat is Digtoise only has mining and nothing else.
pro tip: get the pal extractor and you can compress 4 pals of the exact same type to upgrade one pal. This is shown by the stars on the pal. It increases the level if their ability, which means faster farming and faster mounts!

You can get Mal from dungeons. You can also still use the grappling gun to move yourself if you are over-encumbered.

I think this game is "Objectively IS." Blatantly ripping off multiple other games and to an extent I am okay with that. What they and anybody else creating anything NEEDS to do, is make a unique UI, Flora, Fauna, ecosystem, history, politics and ect. When I look at this game it IS NOT new and or creative. IT IS a cookie cutter COPY of MULTIBLE other games. Which to an EXTENT "I think." is okay. Again while watching this game it has many great qualities/features of other games, which definitely makes it a 10/10 FUN game. What I want though is for it to LOOK like its own game and not like anybody else's... WOOT WOOT games are fun, THANK you for making this video.
Vixy is convenient very early on, but quickly you will need better palspheres.
They can produce a better quality, but you will have to condense a ton of them - and by that time you will likely still need even better spheres. And for ammo production to be worthwhile, you would need entire base dedicated for ranch.
Mau are inefficient in terms of money making - just make and sell nails - that is you hands down best, relatively early option for tons of money.
Later on, if you want a fully hands off approach, capture Sibelyx - when on ranch, they produce high quality cloth, which has decent value. You will need a dedicated ranching base - you can sustain 3 farms with 4 pals on it + remaining 3 dealing with food production, cooking and hauling.
While on the go, breed Sibelyxes to eventually condense them into your farming ones - condensed ranching pals produce more.
Mau's are found in Cave Dungeons but other then gold farming there not worth it. While the idea of building a Second base on Ore isn't the best tbh due to the issue that Regions/chucks unload on the game if your away from them meaning nothing at the second base will "work" and your pals at the second base will slowly start to die from there stats draining, It's a bug right now but just a heads up to anyone wanting to do this as it's not a good idea on a Server (Single player is okay ish) unless you want to make meds non stop, With that It's best to make a base near 1-2 Metal Ores and keep that as your main base overall as you'll be active in the area so the region/chuck doesn't unload when you try to hop from base to base also it's best to go to the desert and catch some mining Turtles as they have level 3 in mining (There 10x better then the Dark Cats).
Vixy isn't bad for lower end catching but isn't great for med game, There is much better way to get lots of starting balls by using the Cave Dungeons and mining the shards in there. Each run you'll leave with around 80-200 Shards and there is caves all over the map ranging from level 8-13, You'll be able to mass produce the starting balls like nothing then waiting awhile for a few from Vixy's, Your better off farming Wool then anything else tbh as Wool is heavily required in mid/late game while even some of the other Element items as those are required mid/late game too.
There is also a better spot for ores too on the map that offers a major chuck of open land and around 7 Ore nodes and 5 Stone nodes + trees, There is places all over the map with lots of ores and stuff just need to find them but like I said, It's pointless to have more then 1-2 ores in a base as you won't be able to have your pals mine them all as it is with 5 Turtles can handle around 3 nodes at a time and the nodes tend to respawn fast so more nodes = bad unless you plan to mine them yourself and tbh That is faster at the end of the day.
Ore mining and keeping ingots is literally the only thing my current base lacks. Everything else runs practically without my input at all now, except for those DAMN ore inguts. EVERYTHING seemingly uses them and everytime I have some they burn out as fast as I make them or get more ore. I carry at least 500lbs of them minimal per trip out but they always run through so fast.
I'm a gamer, I typically never look past or avoid any dead end, but bro... I've been capturing everything and for whatever reason, I was like "f*ck you Vixy" and have always killed them for leather. HOW am I 17 hours and just now learning this lmao!

The thing is Ore Farms are not so much aumated. The problem there is tha t you have to be on base in order your pals to actually see natural spawned ore which is really annoying. You can forget about it until you get Blazemut because with iron pickaxe and garpoon you actually farm these faster than your 3 lvl mining pals. The only reason to build the farm really is to alt tab afking but I find this very very boring.

Fun fact, all raid pals always travel in a linear predesigned path and you are able to build outside of the base zone, so you could build a ramp leading into a box with to buy yourself some breathing room and potential raid pal farming
unless you turn off degredation, people have been complaining that building stuff outside of base will end with it degrading to 0 and breaking without getting your resources back.

Yeah you'll need to turn off degradation(slide it to 0) for that to be effective. You'll still get about 3 or 4 days(irl) at vanilla settings of play out of it but it will eventually degrade away. Thats why the first setting I change is degradation. being limited to the small area of your palbox irks me.
Oh! That is why my traps disappeared on the bridge just outside my base.
Maus from dungeon first second your first base needs merged with second as u need a base to mine coal sulfur and blue rock, 3rd my main base is at your second base lvl 30 raiders will cross bridge once ur base reaches lvl 15 and will get over ran without defending bridge, also u can build up on to rocks using them for craming bases together, ull see late game 1 base for iron 1 base for gunpowder is needed also grappling gun helps when over weight
Find a large damp. Egg and hatch a penking dude is fucking great for starting out he can water and work on the farm really well and mine came with the ability to give me 10% more attack and 15%more space to carry items and has bonus work speed I found the damp egg in the middle of that skull Island
So I actually found this spot on my own and built my base there before seeing this but my Level 2 mining Pals do not mine ore and says cant be assigned. Anyone know wht? Is it a Console thing? Ive just been doing it myself but kinda annoying.

Also on the ore base there will be flying pal at highery level. And if they attack that ore farm all your pals are screwwed. Not enough room for defense stuff so yea
Mau’s are in dungeons but you can also buy them from the black market merchants. They’re not too expensive. I believe around 2k gold but it’s been awhile since I bought any pals from a black market guy.

Mass transferring materials is such a pain. They should just add in a feature to the base level progression of "shared inventory slot." Every couple levels, you get another one and put a cap on it. Drop in mats to share between bases.
Hopefully you'll get bored by this game before lawsuit from Nintendo comes xD (I seriously don't like Nintendo at all, but here, the 'inspiration' is obvious :P)
Idk if it's me or xbox version, but I'll visit my ore farm every couple days and there will be maybe 80 ore....all pal fed, happy, strong, but no production. Using dumuds and digtoise, verdash, etc...
I spent an hour today looking for tombats... yesterday they were everywhere and in my new game just cant find them ... turning my server settings to have longest nights and short days so i can spend more than 20 minufes looking
im playing with a friend and i have the exact same ore farm, but my pals only seem to work when i am around, if i leave the base for some days and come back the box has only like 20-30 ores

I've tried setting this up with the turtles but it doesn't seem to work. They just go up to a node spin once and then go back to eat. Anyone know why the turtles just don't work? They also only seem to do 1 damage
I just took down my ore base from there because the worker pals kept wandering down a path to the side and then getting stuck in the mountain at the back - they'd starve, lose sanity, and eventually die.
My pals Mining ore keep getting overworked and slacking off. Ive got 4 hot springs for 10 of them and all have fluffy beds. What can I do better
anyone else has the issue that if you leave your base the digtoise doesnt seem to work ? i was like 15-20 min gone farming some pals got back and had like 4 ore in my chest so they didnt do like any work while i wasnt in base
My pals won't work, I tried throwing two Vixys in a ranch and it says there's not a job nearby. My pals keep going off and doing whatever they want
7:37 You don't have to drop stuff on the ground. It's much faster if you use your grappling gun to move. It will let you move even if you are over the weight limit!
You can just sell the balls to the merchant for gold aswell...I have a giga ball farm. Gold is harder to come by some things are over 25k gold...
Vixys also drop gold. I never farmed Maus but I got tons of gold. Maus can be found inside dungeons. Look for level 13 dungeons and you can find a Mau.
189, -37 Is the most efficient area for coal and ore. Its on a piller and pretty hilly but it has the most nodes of resources I've seen together
Any idea how to fix a bug where the pals don't mine unless you are in that base? (Digtoises, so not a lvl 1 mining problem).
Issue that a lot of people are running into is that they don’t mine the metal ore passively if you aren’t in or near the base.
It seems like since they are not an asset you built, the pals don’t interact with them if you are too far away.
Are you playing on a dedicated server?

I got around this by building 2 bases next to each other at -69,-324. Good amount of space for a main base near the cliff and then you can make a mining base near all the ore nodes. At least when you in base, the mining will occur.
Another decent ore base location would be behind the desolate church. I'll have to compare the number of ore nodes between the two spots
The Church is so-so in my experience, it's the best ore spot I've found but you get attacked pretty frequently. The spot mentioned in the video is mostly raid free, so it's the safer but weaker option.
If you have a ton of strong Pals then feel free, but for most players I don't think it's a great suggestion.
Woolipops are in my opinion a waay better food source than berries n other foods, simply because woolipops only graze and the food they produce recovers sanity

as you play the game, you need to farm different things, so best base pals are whatever you need at that time....
I actually put my forge at my ore farm so I can just make it ingots there then I just come back every so often and pick up the ingots and take them back to the base
Farm will not work in solo worlds only in multiplayer at least from my experience. Left them for a day and came back and there was only 3 ores
2 caves really on one is throw the ruins at the start of the game on the beach and the other is at the bottom of the hill we're it looks like the front of a church with a dude next to a camp fire go on the beach to the left follow it round 😊
I don't know if passives matter, i usually try to find they vixy's with serious or workaholic so they focus on production.
As a note, the Pals need mining level 2 to even mine Ore. So the Fuddler's weren't actually doing anything for you.
I have mining base @ 193, -34. Its ontop of this large mountain. there is like 6 ore and 2 coal as well.
The Mau I found and caught were found in a cave attached to the beach you wake up on. Then at the end of the cave there was an Alpha Chikidee. xD
Tombat only spawns at night witch might sound like a hassle but the plus side is that it will not go to sleep when the other pals do. It can keep mining at night
There is actually a better place that has ore and coal in one area that you make a base at instead. Two things instead of one, and you need a LOT of coal later on.
Is anyone having an issue with the ore not respawning? I have an ore base and my ore hasn't respawned but I also don't have anything built near them
Arrows, and Blue Pal Spheres are useless mid game onwards. Better off generating wool for later, or the cake ingredients.
If you get over encumbered make sure you have the grappling hook gun. It will move you no matter how much weight you have
