- Exploring abandoned mine sites is so much fun. his is a new claim to me, but a very old mine. They mined gold and silver from this site, which includes 4 adits and one shaft (That we know of!) I managed to take a good sample of the gold bearing ore (silver too) and processed it finding both native silver and free miller gold. We had an amazing day prospecting and were very happy with what we found in this gold and silver mine.

☑️ I couldn't agree more! The "BC" (Bayonne & Camden) regions of New Jersey are just FILLED with natural beauty! I've been searching for lost mountain mines in the Camden area for years, although I still haven't located any mines(or mountains)..... 😁

Very interesting Dan, around where I live there are several shafts and adits some dating back to Roman workings. They mainly found lead and some silver. After watching this I will be looking out for more.
We just bought a claim up in warren, idaho with 12 old gold mines and watching your videos has helped so much. My grandpa is the miner of the family but there’s still a lot we don’t know. Thanks for all your videos!

For those of us who are newer to your channel.... what would be really cool is a geology/rockhound 101 video, describing some of the basics about rock formations and how minerals come to be located in certain areas.

Yeah, that's the same thing i commented. The rock dums are for lesser samples that the original miners didn't think were worth processing, they kept all the good stuff they took out already, so dan needs to get samples from the inside the mines to get a genuine reflection of what's in the highest quality samples there.
You are a healthy fan of enthusiasm and will, it is always nice to learn from a good teacher, drive hard lol !!!

That was really neat to see the view through the microscope. I was wondering how you get your gold or silver, or whatever you are hunting for, dry at the end. Do you pit it in an oven? I do know that a blow dryer does not work...my carpet is currently worth more then it used to be...
