Replacement of Intermatic Pool Timer Motor

This video shows how to repair a broken motor on an Intermatic Timer. These timers are commonly used in the control of pool pumps. Once the timer motor fails the timer no longer advances the start/stop switches resulting in loss of motor control functions.

Hello, I hope you can reply. I have an Intermatic T104R and the motor in there is WG1573-5E, I can’t find the 5E. Seems it was discontinued. Can I use the 1573-5? Thank you!

It is my understanding that the numbers behind the dash indicate different versions. The higher the number the newer the version. So the 1573-5 will work or the newer version, the 1573-10D will also work. Good luck with it.

Please don't edit. Do a full film thru. you really didnt specify which motor wires were black and white.

I think I mentioned in the video the motor wires were interchangable. Didn't matter which one is attached to the white or black.
I edit to save people time. it would be a lot easier if I could post without editing. Problem is most people only watch a very small percentage of the video.
