Although I'm new to woodworking I think this little guy's pretty neat. I personally wear an apron with pockets on it and I always have my combination square with me. But, I find it sometimes annoying to be constantly pulling it in and out of my pocket with it being much bigger than this one. So with this one being smaller I feel like it would be easier for me to quickly access it and utilize it more efficiently (to an extent) than my bigger square.
Yeah man I definitely get that for sure. It’s always nice to have a variety of layout tools so you can dedicate each one for a certain task for a particular project.
That is an interesting looking square. My fear would be losing it. I do see the value of having a smaller square thanks to the footage you shared. This is a really cool little product and congrats on your recent growth. it is a shame that you already lost a subscriber. That happens too when people don't win. Keep cranking out content and you will continues seeing subs roll in.
I have some small WoodPecker squares like this one. Doesn’t have the magnetic base though. Seems most of the videos so far are hand tools, is that your focus? Strangely, I was searching for HP-8 reviews as it was on sale. Your channel was one of the top three that came up for me.
Woodpecker makes some incredible tools and yes! Right now hand tools are definitely my main focus and my goal is to just try and show people exactly what they are buying if they are on the fence about something new and more recently make people aware of the history of hand tools. if you haven’t already you should check out my video on the HP-8 plane. If it is still on sale I definitely recommend it!
@@matthewvick4930 yes, that was the first video I watched then viewed a few others. I was thinking of buying it, but my credit card is still burning.. ;-)
I was hoping you could help me with something. my son is taking advanced metal this year and I was wondering if you could recommend a couple of tools that will help him along the way.
Well, I guess it does do its job, I would still lean toward gimmicky on the Magnet part they could make this a one part system without the magnets or I should say coming apart and that would make more sense to me. I guess I will stick to the couple bucks one from the local Hardware store. I have to go see what a $1,000 plane loos like now!
Got it! Love it and like you , first all a long list of bc tools. My last and probably my favorite is PB brace ! Fantastic and so beautiful

When I took metals the biggest thing for me was a good coping saw and nice blades and some diamond files for detail work.
@@matthewvick4930 thank you. This is all new to me . I like lumber Chris loves metal .

I have not been on Instagram in so long but guess I can always show support there also. If I remember when I get Home!
I don't think I could use that tool because I have a thing for losing pieces so anything that's detachable I would definitely lose.
