Ginza: Tonkatsu

Finding food isn’t always the easiest thing in a foreign country, especially when the script they use is completely unintelligible to you, but fortunately, I found a nice little tonkatsu place and they had an English menu and were super kind. I think they were even impressed by my limited Japanese! And of course, tonkatsu is one of the best things ever. I believe at its root it’s a fusion dish maybe going back to contact with the Portuguese, but today it is 100% Japanese. How can you go wrong with breaded and fried pork?
