  • I'm not a mechanic, I simply enjoy working on my motorcycle and documenting the process. If you decide to undertake such a project, work within your capabilities and at your own risk.
This is a continuation of Part I, after the performing the 2" tank lift, and wire tuck, I proceed to install the push button LED, getting rid of the need to have a key to run the motorcycle, and relocate the ignition on the clutch case next to the battery cover.
I hope you enjoyed the video. 😃
    Thanks for watching.

Or you can add the security system to it and then it has to have a fob in proximity to start

That's cool I was thinking of adding the push button to my iron 1200 also you gave me anxiety when you cut that wire 😳

I was nervous too! Cut it with enough slack i could go back and solder them together again if need be.

See my comment in part 1
So what you cut off was the factor plug.
Did it plug in to the back of the switch??

Yes it plugged into the back of the ignition. With the push start you need the wires but do not need the plug.
