Hubby has done a night dive and we have both done night snorkels. The wall reminded me of the walls in Indonesia - while I was snorkeling I was afraid I was going to fall down...down...down...LOLOL
Night diving is great for actual colors since the layers of water block out all the reds, which is why everything looks blue during the day. Find red filters to help correct this or plenty of white balance techniques. Though night diving is the best since all the critters are out. Been a year since COVID, but we had whitetip sharks and travellies using our light to hunt during our last dive in the Great Barrier Reefs.
Thank you so much for visiting my island, your camera skills are impeccable you made my island look so much beautiful than they do on Google plus I’m so glad visited during this time but I hope you come back around Christmas time fingers cross maybe 2022-2023 to celebrate our Christmas festival/carnival to get the real flavor of being Cruzan, plus I wish someone showed y’all of the rain forest and waterfalls at West end or beef drinking pig in the rainforest
I’m from st. croix, i was born there i don’t live there anymore unfortunately but everytime i go back it’s tradition to jump off the pier. We’ve jumped off at night too.
Advice, stay hell away from oceanic drop offs. They’re dangerous because of down currents which can pull you down into the abyss and you might never get back up the wall.
Duuude you gotta dry diving. It’s the coolest thing you’ll ever do, trust me! And it doesn’t even require coordination or athleticism skills, so it’s not like surfing or basketball where you have to be skilled to be good at it. Scuba just requires you learn the basics, pay attention and not have major sinus problems. (Which can be fixed by surgery btw). If you can equalize and if you can follow the rules (for science & safety reasons), then you can dive! And diving is so awesome
I mention sinus problems and surgery bcuz I’ve been diving for about 5 years now, but I’ve dealt with equalizing issues in my ears and my right sinus cavity. So I got surgery to enlarge my Eustachian tubes (balloon sinuplasty), to straighten my deviated septum, and to enlarge my right sinus cavity. I’m EXCITED! I just had the surgery 3 days ago and yes I’m on paid meds lmao but I’m super pumped for when it heals and I’m able to go diving again. It’s gonna be the best diving ever now that I won’t have the medical issues that required I take a lot of sinus meds before diving. Now I will just be able to dive, with no problems!
This was awesome - my husband watched it with me. He is really missing diving!! And I am really missing snorkeling. It was so much fun to watch. Thank you so much again for sharing your travels - these days we are living vicariously through you!!! I look forward to every Sunday!
it's Absolutely wonderful Vlogs, long time I m expecting to do this lovely Diving, but didn't get the right time and place. Love both of you.💐Happy Weekend and International Mother Language Day,21st of February.💐😍
So great! I've done the same night dive there as well as the wall, more times than I can count. Such incredible diving there. Thank you for sharing your experiences!
What a great couple . Love their honesty in the videos . They deserve million more subscribers. Wonderful Job guys . I have been binge watching all your so many years of videos . Truly inspiration journey . Very motivating for all of us to live complete life
Croix is known for world class Caribbean diving. The most well-known part of this spectacular coral reef runs along the North Shore of St. ... Croix and is known simply as 'The Wall'. The Wall is created by the Puerto Rico trench located on the boundary between the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean.
I loved the dived over the Fredriksted pier. I was born and lived in Fredriksted, I’ve walked on that pier many time, to see how beautiful the coral are is amazing. I’m living in the states know, but can’t wait to go back home especially in the winter time when it’s freezing in the states.
St. Croix is the best! And even better, all the US mainland dive shops and dive clubs ignore it. I l love diving there, my hidden gem. Adventures in Diving STX is the best one-on-one dive shop I've ever seen.
When you were at the wall it reminded me of Finding Nemo. The video of the reef and then expanding into the blue ocean forever......It was like their home. :)
My friend and I did a scuba dive under the pier, and since you always have a dive buddy, we kept referring to each other as "exit buddies" all week. Do you have your exit buddy?
Thanks for posting this. I normally dive Roatan, and love to slowly explore the walls. Relatively new to diving too and agree that you need a red filter on the GP housing and a light. Helps my videos a ton.
We’re on it. Usually the hero9 does alright with color but I guess since we were so much deeper we needed the filter (and lights). Underwater video is still something really new to us. Nothing like the challenge of still being fresh to diving AND trying to film!
I just did my first dive in st Thomas last week with my ten year old daughter who dove to 21 ft on her first ever dive. She is now helping me plan another trip lol..
I JUST SIGNED UP TO GET MY SCUBA LICENSE NEXT MONTH WHCIH IM SUPER EXCITED ABOUT BUT IM ALSO KIND OF TERRIFIED LOL WHEN I SAW THE SCREEN GO PITCH BLACK I WAS LIKE OHHHHH HEEEELL NO I WON'T BE DOING THAT HAHA! but super fun video, i enjoyed the journey you took us on!
Ok!!!!! So Cool!!!!. Need i say more. I had a Co-Worker that was a diver in the navy. He was classified as a EOD expert. He use to tell me so many tails of his diving experiences but this video adds so much to what he used to try to explain about diving. Make sure to hit Buck Island Reef National Monument. Even though it is best to hit it from St. Croix you can still catch a tour to the reef from St. Thomas.
ya! Thanks for the recommendation. We used to have one on an older GoPro version. We were under the impression that the Hero 9 had it built in but I don't think so at 100ft! Of course it's a different size so we have one ordered for our next dive trip ;)
In St. Thomas we call it the South Drop. There is also the North Drop. If you are into deep sea fishing you should hire one of the local fishermen. The North Drop being in the Atlantic is colder and rougher.
Looks incredible. I bet that feeling was super intense, just staring down into the trench! Also, damn, that food looked so cheesy. Maybe you are a food vlog now!
Love the news part, the turtle and the fact that Pepper met everyone on the island. There is something inherently creepy but fun about swimming in the ocean at night. We would do if off the back of our boat in The Sea of Cortez, but I had to work my way up to It 😂
We stayed at Cottages By the Sea for our honeymoon in October! Did you know that the sandy point at the end of the beach is where they filmed the final scene of Shawshank Redemption? We walked to it, took about 2 hours but it was worth it!! Definitely have to go back there one day, next time dive certified!!!
The Wall is created by the Puerto Rico trench located on the boundary between the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. The trench itself is 497 miles long and at its deepest point, known as Milwaukee Deep (located 76 miles north of Puerto Rico), it has a depth of at least 28,373 feet!
Love this! You guys were there at the same time my hubby and I were there! Hubby thinks he remembers seeing your pup. I even took a dive under the pier with Mitch at Adventures in Diving STX, who is in your video! Totally recognize the flowers from Polly's -- we sat at the same table. I'm saving this video because it's almost like a souvenir of our trip (even though we didn't dive The Wall). -Lori
Hah aw that’s great! Check out our previous two videos also from St. Croix at the same time! Maybe you’ll even spot yourself in the background somewhere! Let us know 😆
I see this video is dated February 2021. How are the reefs post the recent hurricanes? Are the reefs still alive. Or is the damage visible and obvious? We recently contacted a dive shop because their website promoted boat diving and they no longer offer that. Unsure of the reasons.
Fin, you’re diving with a fogged mask on every shot. Use any commercial defogger BEFORE the dive, or learn to clear your mask comfortably with surrounding H2O
There was no storm she is just skylarking..that beach is gorgeous and breezy and the air smells so sweet and clean..ive been there..fnn news instead of CNN lol..
Due to the Algorithms(😂) this showed up on my feed, I’m from St. Croix and we used to jump off the pier all the time until one time I tried with swimming googles and freaked out like where’s the bottom?!😂😂...at Cane bay beach you can walk out pretty far before it gets deep
Would you do this?? ⬇️⬇️⬇️
Hubby has done a night dive and we have both done night snorkels. The wall reminded me of the walls in Indonesia - while I was snorkeling I was afraid I was going to fall down...down...down...LOLOL
No!!! i have a hard time using a snorkel.
Night diving is great for actual colors since the layers of water block out all the reds, which is why everything looks blue during the day. I want to learn how to scuba! Yes, I’d do the wall dive. Night dive? Mmmmmaybe
Yes I was on the island when you were there and My whole family wanted to scuba dive

Scuba diving open your eyes to the magical underwater world of the ocean 😍 we would totally dive here!!
Advice, stay hell away from oceanic drop offs. They’re dangerous because of down currents which can pull you down into the abyss and you might never get back up the wall.
RUclips recommended this video. I’m not a diver but cool content and good vibes. Subbed 😊
What’s up Shaun, welcome and glad you’re here!
Same
But I live there lol

Love the underwater filming. The colors and textures are pretty amazing. Looks so peaceful down there in that other world. You're very brave!

Are you familiar with the Rodney Temple attack? It was tragic. How close were you to that site?
That's how I found my way here. Nice video.
On my bucket list to see sea turtles in the wild! Great job on videoing!

if the pandemic is over. Can you consider traveling to the beautiful islands of the philippines?
Y'all should go to lagoon that's in st.croix it's like a lil pond where you can jump or jump of the dock

Hah Aw!! Thanks so much for hangin with Pepper! 😆😍🐶
Ocean drop offs are very dangerous fyi. Near the oceanic abyss, there are down currents that can pull you down into the abyss to your death.
was jumping in the water without a mask intentional?
Aww the chickens i can’t believe $70 ticket
Fin, you’re diving with a fogged mask on every shot. Use any commercial defogger BEFORE the dive, or learn to clear your mask comfortably with surrounding H2O
Hello I love where you are staying in that hotel would you mind naming it?
I use to free dive the pier all the time to the end an the bottom
The wall is scary deep, we witnessed a tragedy a few days ago.
I love you guys, thanks a lot....
Great video
Lol love the weather report
How many turtles did you guys see
Is the bicycle still there?
St Croix has great food trucks
This is my home, I live on st croix born and raised
Thank you for having us!
epic. thanks.
Well are they a lot of turtles there
So cool guys.. I have always been afraid to dive but you guys have successfully peaked my interest
4:08 lol my dad and i have jumped off from there
I love riding motorcycles
Wait I didn’t see the wall can someone tell me the time of the video you can see the wall
Scanning the video to find the wall and find the most replayed spot has nothing to do with it 😅 some things never change
Experienced recreational divers learn to always night dive.

1300 or 13,000 feet as Tim said. Heh
