So iam sitting here watching your very informative video thinking to myself wow I lived here all my life and never have seen this side of my Island So going to sign up for some diving classes like tomorrow. Thanks 🙂
St. Croix is where I first breathed underwater. We were staying at the Divi resort and I took the Introduction program with Cane Bay Dive Shop. That was in the spring of 2016...I was hooked...by October, I was Rescue Diver certified. St. Croix is beautiful. It is relaxing and not crowded like some other islands. Very laid back. I want to go again!
I was in St. Croix, Frederiksted in October and November of 1989 just hours after hurricane Hugo. I was deployed as a Military Police in the US ARMY. I was actually part of the unit that arrested the Police Chief with the FBI. From that time on I have always wanted to a dive. But life happens marriage and family. So all my kids are grown and out on their own. So, last year I got my diving certification up to Advance Open Water Diver, with a few specialties courses as well. This year I got to go to Key West, FL and dove on the Vandenberg. We are looking at going to either Saint Croix or Cozumel.
lived there 15 years, my parents, 27 years. The best Dive Spots are not for the meek. Jacks Bay Beach Dive, through the reef cut, on the bottom and timed with the surges, going out, no problem, coming back in, wow man
Great video! Made me "Homesick". We have a place down there on the East end which, due to covid and other life considerations, we haven't been able to visit for a year now. Can't wait to get back. Not to detract from other dive operators, but the crews at SCUBA and Sweet Bottom are two of my favorites.
Great video with great information on USVI. Being British I have to ask, is it easy to pop over to BVi from USVI for the day as desperate to dive the RMS Rhone? Really want to come down and spend time in USVi after watching your videos and Tritons.
You can definitely island hop via ferry or super short plane ride. Would need to check in with US Immigration and Customs upon arrival in the USVI with you British passport. Also I believe you would currently need proof of a negative Covid test to enter USVI.
@@everythingscuba Thank you, yeah I see that is rules as we would come down via Miami, when do come down. Hopefully within next year will be down. If do make it down we need to get dive in together

I was a PADI dive instructor at Cane Bay, spent a year there teaching scuba and diving for lobster daily in 1994. No need for a wet suit there. Next stop was dive instructor on Blackbeard live aboard dive boat in Bahamas out of Miami. Then to New Orleans for Two years.

Been there 6 times. No words can describe the beauty.
