I'm by no means an audiophile but I would love to hear one of your systems in person as I'm sure it sounds incredible. The reason I watch your vids is because of the unreal level of fabrication and how clean and unobtrusive your systems are. Beautiful fab work Matt, thanks for sharing it with us and I can't wait to see your next one.
Tim datoolman Thank you! Like I state in the video, I love when someone gets to hear a car like this for the first time. It is a pretty moving experience.
should of added a special holder/cradle for the astell and kern otherwise seems like an incredibly well thought out and put together system awesome job
Fantastic build, Matt! It is well a client using dual 12s. I cancelled my Spotify "Premium" today, after your comment it is heavily compressed. Is Tidal, or GoBuz best? Who offers more tracks broadcast in 24-bit/192khz? Also, you have a gift of describing timbre, imaging, and sound staging. I will play Pink Floyd's Time today and try to count the clocks. Rock on Matt.
How did you run all 3 inputs into the VXI? Looking at installing the Nav tv into my new super duty and would like to have it setup the same way. Factory, amas and dap
C Johnson best sounding would probably be one of Utopia m Tesla systems. The X I did with the on axis apillars was amazing. I am working on a car now that is going to be pretty much in a class of its own. Favorite build cosmetically was the Callaway Camaro ZL1.
Any suggestions for a 2019 ZO6 convertible? What can I do.. i want to replace all stock speaker setup and enabling video in motion. So your beautiful work on hardtop ZO6.
Factory chimes/bells/radar sounds still work on just preset 1 correct? Also, if you connect an iPhone using the Tidal app on Master quality through the factory USB, is the sound output actually Master (192/24 if recorded that way)? Or is high rez only through preset 2 and 3?
mixxeerr chimes work just like intended through preset 1 which is the OEM radio. Tidal streams at cd quality 16/44. The factory DAC is probably limited to 16/44. Which means you need another means of running higher bandwidth source files. Which is where preset 2 and 3 come into play.
@@therealmatty_s Matt, fantastic build! Is Tidal what you use, or GoBuz? I cancelled my Spotify, today, after your comment Spotify is heavily compressed.
mixxeerr tidal is the most mainstream. However amazon just release their HD and Ultra HD music streaming service which they claim stream up to 24/192. Tidal streams at 16/44.
As always impeccable craftsmanship Matt.Question, has Tesla or any other car manufacturers approached you to design audio systems for their cars? Is that something you would be interested in doing? Because it seems a lot of car manufacturers don't put a lot of stock in car audio, Its a lot better than years ago, but some so called " premium" systems are rip offs and sound like a 2 watt transistor radio.I was just wondering if you've ever been approached about this.
@@NonPremiumID That's what I think also. But being at SoundFx gives him more flexibility as far as creating systems as well as the challenge of doing various vehicles. If he just at Tesla for example, they would probably have a template of how they want the systems done and I'm sure a creative guy like Matt is not having that.
People say this all the time. However, no manufacture would ever see this as necessary. They care about the bottom line. Thats why no matter what "upgraded" OEM system you pay for, they still use paper and plastic speakers.
@@therealmatty_s While the car manufacturers won't ever do this, you HAVE done builds sponsored by car audio manufacturers like Focal and such for SEMA/CES and other shows?

Hands down you are heads and shoulders above the rest.....
I would like to see how to make the connection from the battery with fuses please
Excellent build!! What's the song being played in the background?
Absolutely amazing work...
Another great project! Thank for the inspiration.🙌
Very well done!

I got a 14 Acura mdx still factory. Would love something like this. Made in it

How much sound do you lose from the subs when the hatch floorboard is closed?
I was thinking the same exact thing
Looks awesome Matt!
What is your favorite build so far, or the best sounding one...?

This is a beautiful setup. I can only imagine the sou d quality. How much does something like this run$?
Omg beautiful car great job nice videos
Great
Great Content - thx (What were the dimensions on the sub box?)
Cool Matty

@@therealmatty_s thank you, Matt. I will go with Amazon HD then and load the A&K DAP.
Very nice.
I see you used the AMAS piece with the JL DSP. So u can run this piece with any DSP?
It will work with any DSP that has a TOSLINK/Digital Optical output.
Wait are all audio shops this good or are you one in a million?

I have wondered this, as well. I'm sure SoundFX takes care of him, but if Tesla brought him on board as R&D audio designer he would really cash in.

WTF am I doing with my installs? How much you charge for me to work for you so I can learn something? Great Job Matt.
How much for this set up ??? I have a 2017 BMW X5
A lot. $10k+ most likely.
Do you offer just tuning?
Andrew Elrose I do.
@@therealmatty_s whats the best way to reach you to tune my car?
Andrew Elrose all my info is in the description of the video and in the video itself.
You have to be best in the US
Thanks Rich!
It looks the same as mines
And then he has universal floor mats 😂
