One of the artists of my youth, and soundtrack of my (and many, many others) lives!!!!! So well done. Thank you Benmont Tench, Tom, and the whole band for what you contributed to our lives!
"It's all pretty dumb stuff" I wish I could be that dumb! This man can play anything on keyboards and make a piano and organ sound anyway he wants! I can only dream of being that "dumb" LMFAO! I absolutely love Benmont!
Thanks for sharing the drawbar settings and licks. I wish more musicians would do this to pass down their legacy. On one hand, they want to keep everything a secret, but then that knowledge doesn't get passed down to cover and tribute bands, so they don't play it exact. For example, I'm in a Three Dog Night tribute band, and there's no videos like this on how Jimmy Greenspoon played (drawbars and licks), so I have to cover it the best I can.
Amazing stuff, er "dumb stuff" rather lol. I remember listening to Tom Pettys greatest hits as a kid and those organs really made an imprint on me. To me it was like a wall of sound that continuously changed colors and textures

I will pass down what I know for future generations
Hmm, I grew up with Three Dog Night, but never noticed the organ. I am just getting into organ, incredible how it fits into so many styles.
Such an incredible lesson and insight on making a song move!!
Wow thanks Benmont!

This is helpful for sure.
Unbelievable.
"The minute it ceases to be dumb is the minute it ceases to be real."
“…like that.”
Wish he could have taught here - to hard to see or benefit from
generous
Yeah pretty dumb stuff for an organ maker.
