I know . . . . so many of my childhood heroes are taking their final bow and walking off stage into that welcoming darkness. Danny may not have been one of the most well-known, but his contributions to The Mac, alone, were something I always treasured. His solo work was woefully unappreciated. He will be missed.
i am deeply saddened by this! this is my favorite Second Chapter song! reminds me of McCartney. one of Danny's idols! i really love Danny's vocals as well as his guitar work.. Rest In Peace for sure.. :(
James Prichard: I'll say it--One of the greatest love songs of all time. I fell in love with a wonderful, gorgeous California girl, quintessentially blonde and full of joy TO THIS SONG.... "and I never wanna leave you, I never wanna go..." I still love you, Sheri! And yes, thank you okubo6a
Is this from the cd? Every lp pressing of this that I've heard has some distortion especially in the strings with them even fluctuating in volume and dropping out at one point. I've always wondered if the cd fixed that problem. I'll buy the cd if that is the case.
Danny Kirwan, on eof the most talented guitarist ever. So sad that alcohol took over. He could have achieved so much. And this song is crap IMO (humbly)
More people should get to know this super genius musician !
Super genius. Not genius. But super genius. Maybe even super duper genius. Or?
Such a beautiful voice and song.
So in love with this song. Now that he’s in heaven, I cry every time e I heard it.my hearts breaks for this mans troubles
Geniu pur. Ce sublim a-ți scris. Se cunoaște influența anilor 70, ci orchestra. Din ce an este înregistrarea ?
Fine and perfect music... wistful, poetic, romantic, with more than a dash of McCartney influence.
maybe some day somebody else will say that this song and danny kirwan are as beautiful as anything. thanks danny , thanks okubo6a
Awesome
beautiful melody
danny boy
RIP Danny. Thanks for this one.
Scott Shea 💔

Thinking of you on this Hot Summer Day . . . .
K Matsu so sad! :(

Playing along with Danny here....my G string just broke, tried to substitute a D string in its' place, my kingdom for a G string...love ya Danny
I had this LP in the 70’s. Loved it.
Beautiful
So beautiful ...So Danny !!♥
To Danny, wish I could have been there to lift you up from the darkness. Thank you and hope you are finding a new life to enter into.
The ram jam city 'unplugged' version without strings is another way of falling in love with Danny

Danny boy kirwan xx
The little riff at the beginning of "Dust", that's what this song is based on.
Just heard this song for the first time. And I was born in 52 I feel ripped off by the musical powers that be.
yary gork ~ I hear ya, and feel the same.
sounds a bit like 'andmoreagain' by Love
+Michał Agsagsafsan true!!
a very good song indeed!
PS: I met Sheri on a hot summer night late in June. June 24, 1975. There was "The Summer of '42"--mine came in 1975.
did you end up marrying her?
Sounds like fogelberg got his sound from danny Kirwan
An amazing song, I perform this in my solo show.
De pelicula
Хороший гитарист,жаль что ушел из жизни
A very complicated man.
