BRILLIANT, dramatic and absolutely beautiful, perfect. A fantastic world to disappear in. I don't even want to listen to other music for a while, this is still ringing in my heart and soul.

Great composition, a composer that isn't afraid to use ideas from folklore, minimalism, free dissonance, serialism and impressionism.

I've been a fan of Zhou Long ever since he was in the first Masterprize Competition 15 years ago. No other composer in the competition was even in his league. His music really captivated me. I must have played that CD a thousand times due to Long. His music is effects-heavy, but not to the point of being unmusical, boring, or unoriginal. There is clearly inventiveness. And while I love lyricism, I'm not "missing" it here. This piece is not as refined as the Masterprize submission, but...

音樂沒有美感，只有胡亂堆砌的樂段，缺乏靈魂、缺乏主題，比較像是電影配樂，而不像是一首完整的音樂作品。本來鼓聲，是有振奮人心的功能，而太鼓則是一種日本傳統的打擊樂器，是日本雅樂樂器之一。可是這首音樂。一丁點兒的東方味道也沒有，聽了讓人緊張不安，不舒服！還不如去看鬼太鼓座的表演！
