I missed water Tifa and got this new water Seph to OB10 and it is destroying dungeon ranking alongside Genji Ultimate and Tempest debuff. I’m happy with it because it’s Sephiroth.
If this were a non-limited banner I would be heavily considering this banner. If I was able to wishlist this weapon in the future I’d be happy to pull page 1 for the gear, and get to OB6 in the future. Definitely waiting to see what Cloud and Tifa get before doing any pulls on this banner.
Same here, even more so as the stats on this banner are the same as Vincent and Yuffie's last month. I pulled on Yuffie last month bc she now covers both mag and phys ice. I would have done the same with this one, but the fact it's limited defeats the purpose of saving resources bc you'll spend more getting this up to snuff than you would by pulling phys and mag arcanum separately. And it's no better than a normal banner. If it were non-limited, I'd jump on it. But as it is, pass. And that's coming from a newish player that only has anni costumes and Yuffie ice arcanum.

On a negative point on this banner, you could argue that water element is here from a long moment and could possibly fall from the meta for another element. We had invocation guild ranking, battle ranking and now dungeon ranking weak to water. Time for a change in the meta.
I’m definitely also on the “Seph is really useful for me” bandwagon so it’s tempting. What makes it more complicated is that the current event requires water so not pulling now might make it so that at least for this event, you don’t really get to take advantage of the weapon+element. The element is bound to rotate back to water eventually but the usefulness in the meantime is diminished, sneaky gacha strats to make people pull from the devs. Either way, I think I’m going to wait, it’s worth it to see what Cloud and Tifa can do and then make a decision from there.
Yeah, I agree. And tbh, if you have a solid tifa -- it's hard to even work a 3rd water user into this ranking event. Like, literally I couldn't fit him in without ditching my healer since Cait still doesn't have a darn AoE heal
I pulled on Aerith's banner just to get her weapon. No regrets. I wanted to pull for Sephiroth's costume because I only have his Kuja outfit. But .. honestly, I don't know. I do like the ability that the costume can be for both Phys. or Mag. water set up. Whereas, Tifa is locked into Mag. water. But, I think I'll wait and see what Cloud will be.
Man they love doubling up on Sephiroth don’t they? Seph now officially has 2 elements he received 2 costumes in, lol. For Wind he has his Halloween Costume and his Shinra Formal Attire and for Water he has Natant Jacket which was Water Arcanum (This came along with his Tempest weapon) and now Edgar’s Attire… Now the big difference here is that Edgar’s gear is better than Natant Jacket b/c latter comes with Buff/Debuff extension +10 on the top half while the former has a unique defensive buff on the top half instead. That said most people that I know skipped his Natant Jacket, so it almost feels like you’re rewarded for doing so since this new fit is overall better, lol. But yeah I agree with pretty much your thoughts on it. I know some people are disappointed that the weapon isn’t OP but that doesn’t mean this banner isn’t worth it, especially if you’re a Seph main. I mean if you have Natant Jacket (his first Water costume) then I’d say you’re probably better off skipping I guess but if you didn’t this is a really good pickup as he’ll have both Physical and Magic damage coverage. I also agree with maybe potentially going for Tifa as an option too since they’ll most likely be doing similar damage (assuming Tifa is actually setup) I myself don’t have any Magical Water setup, so this would be a very good pick up for me. That said I’m already *Locke’d* (get it? HEH) in for Cloud this event, no matter what, so I’m skipping this banner personally. Hopefully it’ll be worth it 🙏

As someone who wants to start to work on elemental setups for my account, I wanted to summon on this banner (plus I don't have a Sephi costume yet) but I do like your idea about Tifa's water setup with the 1 year anni. I don't have feather gloves yet so have to hopefully get them at some point but the biggest thing for me is I want to see the other two banners first before making a decision with my 56k crystals currently.
Same thoughts on the outfit this is great for dual setup with tempest and OF COURSE it's prime for the current Dungeon Ranking. Take Barret or Red for water debuff along with Tifa anniversary/bunny gloves and you are slapping. That said this card is pretty average for a limited wep, still have a surprise to come I think. This drop is absolutley aimed to drain.
As someone with both Tifa Water gloves at ob10...this is a big skip for me. The costume does make me consider... Depending on my crystals at the end of the collab
I got the costume (and have an ob1 weapon) because I don’t have a water arcanum (and because he’s husbando) but I think I am done with this banner. The pony tail is cute! But it’s kinda stupid that this is a limited weapon

considering that tempest is non limited I think this is still worth pulling for just the costume if you don't have his other water arcanum

Seph's Natant Jacket is also a water mastery, so he has two... came on the banner with his Tempest weapon

Tifa is still the better setup. Definitely going to be a pass.
I dont like baby sephiroth this is why i dont use him, i have my Tifa 😊
