The rising Lake Victoria water levels

The rising Lake Victoria water levels continue to puzzle residents living and operating in and around its shores.
At Portbell in Luzira near Kampala some residents blame it on encroachment to which they assert that the lake is trying to reclaim its original boundaries.

Climate change seems to bringing more rainfall to the great lakes region. Terracing will be important (it is a good idea on any hillside farm to increase yields and retain the best soil and water levels). Also, I think low land areas should dig wells to help contain local flooding and this water could be pumped to storage tanks in the highlands and used for drip irrigation during the dry seasons.

before you say m7 has not done something first ask your self how many meters are recommend to build in away from the water bodies and tell me what ugandans do. those are territories of the lake so let it take back it's territories in it's control.
