- Ken Tanaka of Wish4Fish is back on the water! This time fly fishing the Green River in Utah.
I had a little bit of time between my float with Doug Roberts of Old Moe Guide Service and my flight home so I decided to wade the Green. I haven't waded the Green River since 2017 and like last time it did NOT disappoint!

Awesome as always my brother. Beautiful scenery, and Trout. The color on that second rainbow was spectacular, to say the least. Thank You for all you do Ken.
Thank you Brian
That was sweet, especially the drifters watching you hook a beautiful brown.
Thank you very much. The Green is a magical place
Great video Ken ! Beautiful river and nice looking trout! Isn’t it great when you can sight them and figure out what works , no better feeling!! Tight lines!
No doubt! That’s what fly fishing is all about! Thank you very much for the kind words and support.

3:23 Awesome take indeed! Awesome vid again Ken!
Thanks Bryan
That is some seriously beautiful water there, the type where you can just stand and watch the fish and be satisfied
No doubt! One of the most beautiful and productive streams in the country.
Fantastic. I have to try this river out. ASAP!
Thank you. You definitely should!

Geez hardly anyone else on the river..wow..love it
Plenty of people on the river. I just choose not to fish near them. I will just walk far enough where I don't see them.
Great fishing👊
Thanks Frankie
A river I want to fish. You got some nice ones!
Thanks. The Green is fantastic. Highly recommend it.
Love little hole great place to fish my wife and I were there during the cicada hatch as well this year and it was amazing not much sipping but a lot of choking
Wonderful place
You need to get back up to ID! I love your videos up here! I have gotten a lot more into fly fishing recently so I’m trying to transition to more fly fishing videos

I was actually thinking about doing one! Stay tuned.
I can tell you that I only use Costa.
Hey Ken, what equipment do you use to film and edit? Love the vids!
Thank you very much for the kind words and support.
Cameras- Sony FDR3000, Sony RX100v, Sony AX700, Sony a7sii
Editing- iMovie and Final Cut Pro
Great stuff Ken!
Thank you Robert
Great vid ken! How does the Green River stack up to Henrys Fork in your opinion?
Thank you very much. Both are fantastic streams. I go back and forth on which one I think is better. I think for the average fly fisherman the Green is better. More trout per mile, great average size of around 17in and more forgiving fish.
@@Wish4Fish thank you. So let me ask your opinion on something. Where is a place that you could absolutely love living that also has great Fly Fishing? Me and the wife have retired and have been going to different place looking for this spot. Any advice? Cost no real concern. Just looking for a great town near killer fishing.
So personally that place would be Salt Lake City! Still have that city life, things to do, good food... International airport!
I can get to the Green River in 4hrs as well as the Henry's Fork. Colorado and Wyoming are also right there. Plus the MANY fantastic opportunities in Utah with fantastic outdoor options.
@@Wish4Fish man that's never even been on the radar for us. Salt Lake over a place like Jackson Wyoming, Durango Co or someplace up near the Colombia River??
Jackson? you mean California? ;-)
Would have helped if you would have said what it was they final took
Sometimes I do and sometime I don’t. Besides the fly I used to get that fish to take isn’t going to work on every stream or other scenarios. The point was if they are looking up at the fly they are definitely interested, just gotta figure out what they will take.
Would you reveal this spot? I plan to wade the green soon😂
Yes. It’s called the Green River 😉
@@Wish4Fish dont be one of those guys
What guy? I person that spot burn on a public forum? If you're a local you would appreciate. Don't hate. I give more to the fly fishing community than you could imagine. You don't be that guy!
