the root chamber temperature is more imporatnt than the nutrient temperature because they will not be the same. The nutrient solution should be suitable for the crop. The nutrient strength (EC) is system dependant.F or example, if you overwater (most folks overwater in aeroponics) you can run higher EC but it wont result in better growth rate due to the overwatering.. The very small amount of water required by plants in an aeroponic system allows you run drain to waste. therefore you have no need of filtering or sterilisation, the nutrient doesnt return from the root chamber to potentially contaminate the nutrient reservoir with debris or pathogens. The nutreint elemental make up remains constant so the plants receive optimal nutrient at all times. A recirculated nutrient is optimal only when it is freshly mixed and becomes more and more sub optimal over time until it has to be replaced. A well designed aeroponics system will be 100% reliable so you wont need to store any water in the root chamber which effectively reduces the space for aeroponic root growth and the roots that grow into the water wont be aeroponic which defeats the purpose :)

Its best to think of the mist environment in the root chamber as a physical medium. In genuine aeroponics the roots are suspended in the mist environment (aka medium) and much like other mediums, it contains a ratio of moisture, O2 and nutrient. Unlike other mediums, you can control these 3 variables in realtime for optimal growth.

In regards to root chamber temp vs reservoir temp.
If you have your grow room dialed in, there should be no reason to worry about the temp in them.
They should be the same temp.
I totally agree with you in regards to most people over watering when growing with aero.
But in regards to drain to waste.
I see that as a unnecessary huge cost.
As long as you have a good filtering system from your reservoir to your grow chamber there should be no problems. Along with regular reservoir changes.
Now one of the things that should have been talked about more.
      Is pH drift.
Your pH should be checked at least daily.
Because the plants will use more of some nutes at different times of growth.
Which will cause a huge difference in your ec and pH.
Which will dramatically effect the growth of your plants.
Another important subject that should have been discussed more are light leaks, into your grow chamber and or reservoir.
      That's a no no.
      Now back to over watering.
Something that should have been discussed is droplet size. Even if you have the correct sprayers that produce the correct droplet size we are looking for.
If your on and off times are not correct you will produce a bigger droplet size in your grow chamber.
You can see proof of this in this video.
If you look at the shot in this video, where they show inside the root chamber.
      You will see huge drops.
Which tells me that they have their on time ( the amount of time their roots are being sprayed ). On for to long.
      Think about it like this.
If you have the correct spray heads to produce the droplet size we are looking for.
But you have your on time at one or two minutes. You are going to cause bigger drops to form on your roots.
Because they are being sprayed for to long.
Everyone that starts growing with aero is guilty of this.
Shit when I first started growing with aero ( which is the only way ive been growing for over 20 years now ) I had my on time on for 5 minutes.
      LoL 😂😆.
Because as you probably know, there is nothing on this subject when you did your research.
Anyway this is my two cents on some of the subjects when growing with aero.
      Good luck everyone.

If the system lacks the level of control to run drain to waste efficiently then yes, its unecessary waste. OTOH, if you have a system that has the level of control its no less wasteful than a recirculated reservoir that has to be amended and ultimately dumped and replaced. I get 0.5-1L of "waste" from 200L chambers per day. Not having to check PH, EC alone is worth a gallon of nutes a week. With the additional benefit of pristine nutrient with an identical elemental profile every misting, its a no brainer. My accumulators are not located in the growroom so they are not influenced by the heat in there. As the nutrient doesnt return, warmer or otherwise, it has no effect on the nutrient temperature inside the accumulators. Recirculated nutrients pick up heat from the root chambers, pumps, lights etc which is returned to the reservoir. Folks install chillers to fix this when an accumulator would solve the issue and provide a multitude of additional benefits.
