Just found out that the star wars kid, the kid in this movie, Jake Lloyd, was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia early this year roundabout the time we all thought we were about to go to war with Iran. That is so unbelievably sad to me.

It’s not a bad movie. If it was “so bad it’s good”, then something didn’t hit its mark that made the movie a spectacle, like The Room being a serious drama. The movie was designed to be silly and over the top, and it’s good because that’s EXACTLY why people enjoy it.

I know the movie wasn't the greatest but I still consider it a corny guilty pleasure Christmas movie. And I enjoyed sinbad in it. He was so sinical and crazy bc life kept shitting on him but he still made me chuckle

Arnold is just trying to make his son happy by buying him a gift, and everyone is a complete dick to him,
all because he can't find the toy his son wants.
Then you've got Sinbad sucking the joy out of the movie, by rubbing Arnold's misery in his face.

I just always thought it was weird how he was obligated to playing American characters when he had a thick accent that he couldn't get around. It would of been kind of cool if they made something of his heritage.
You are an idiot, he's not playing an American character. In these movies, due to his accent they clearly do not try to hide, he obviously moved to America from Austria, just as Schwarzenegger did.They are not trying to make him look American or cover up the fact that he is Austrian, everybody knows that he is. It is much more likely that he marries an American woman if he lives in America.
Tons of actors from different countries don't get to position all their films in that country or have their movies revolve around that actor's background. Tell me - how many movies Arnold is in that take place in Austria? Not many, none I can think of, but tell me this: How many Hollywood movies AT ALL are situated in Austria, and feature Austrian families? None you can think of ether? Hmm... It's almost like these parts aren't written for Arnold, but he goes and tries out for them, LIKE A NORMAL ACTOR.
It's not like as soon as Arnold fills the spot, they are going to replace his whole family with Austrian actors and actresses. I doubt Christoph Waltz would be very convincing as anyone in Arnold's family, and I literally can not think of another Austrian actor...

If they need an American born character, they aren't going to cast Arnold. All his roles it is safe to say he is an Austrian immigrant or first generation Austrian family in those movies as well, duh!

Felt compelled to watch again after Cody's video about, using clips from the NC's review.
Now I want to see a crossover video between them. Doug shared AlternatHistoryHub's video about the Command & Conquer: RED ALERT series to Facebook, and acted a tad disappointed Cody compared Doug to Yuri, since he more resembles Kane now.
I saw this in my recommendations while I was inexplicably compelled to watch Nostalgia Critic stuff, and having watched Cody's video it inspired me to watch this.
I actually think Rita delivered that "Damn you, Howard" line perfectly.
She is still gorgeous to this day. I just love her and she was an interesting choice to play Arnolds wife in this.

Warren Marris Christmas is nothing but a Hedonistic holiday celebrating consumerism, greed, and gluttony.
It's a mish mash of pagan traditions with labels attached to it in an effort to give some wholesomeness to the day when there is none. On top of that it was taken over by the Christian church to change the already present festivities over to their own agenda.
While I don't think the movie is an intelligent movie with a message to pay attention to, it certainly doesn't go against what Christmas actually is.
That "We Don't Care" bit has aged quite well. :D

Okay, so the big issue with her husband is that he's never there for their kid but she affectively banishes him from the parade that their son was upset that his dad wouldn't be going with him to and asks the creeper neighbor to drive her instead. I liked Smash Bros Brawl better than Mario Kart Wii. The glitch in Grumble Volcano and like 1/2 of the new courses for that game were forgettable. I just remember Grumble Volcano, The new Bowser castle, Rainbow Road, and Mushroom Gorge, that's about it. The others are pretty forgettable...

This movie had a tone, a measured level of silliness, and a certain style… in my opinion, it isn’t good in spite of missing the mark, it’s good because it hit its mark. For what the producers intended, I cannot imagine this movie coming out any differently to be as great as it is. I’ll never be one to call this movie bad but enjoyable. It’s enjoyable because it’s a good movie!
Sinbad may not have been at his top game in this movie but at least I find him a lot more tolerant-able than Amy Schumer in anything she's in.

Critic's character is supposed to over-exaggerate lol. That's his whole shtick. There's a grain of truth in all of his complaints, but his videos should be taken with a grain of salt.
Though, some of the films he reviews are actually that bad.
