- Smart ForTwo 451 Fitting A New Rear Wheel Cylinder & Bleeding The Brakes - PLUS Dad buys a Proton Saga!?
I bought ANOTHER Smart Car ... this time a 2011 Smart ForTwo Night Orange edition. One of only 235 ever made!
Why? Well because my Smart 450 is getting on in its life and the colour ... well I just fell in love with it.
In this video Dad and I fit a new wheel cylinder to the the NSR and bleed the braking system - its not a massive job - but an important one!

Brilliant guys , things are moving along nicely.... brakes 😬 I hate doing brakes, always have and always will , and I am now looking forward to the next one takecare good stuff 😁🙏
Coming soon! Thanks for watching
Get all my bits from car parts in motion. Customer service is the best I've experienced the only part I've had to return was a Napa drop link that had been on for about 10 months but they instantly refunded the last item I had purchased from them and that was 8 pounds more than the drop link.
Great to hear they have also been great for other people 😁
I can second that. Bought a few bits and pieces from them for various cars, and they've always been spot on 👌🏻
come on watchers - subscribe - Jon deserves to grow to 5k asap
That's very kind! Share it far and wide 😂
Really enjoying your videos, your dad is like me making things work with the minimum of expense.
Old skool guys like your dad are a dying breed.

Wheel cylinder, simple enough when you are dealing with new pipes and fittings 😊👍🇮🇪
You got it! 😂
Happy Pumpkin 😊 good job❤ Brake cylinders were the bane of dad's life, especially truck ones 😅
Thanks 😊
I use original parts where possible but in the real world independent garages will use eurocarparts, gsf or other suppliers
Yes me too. But hopefully a reputable part will do the job 😁
Let’s see how it performs on the road
Absolutely! When it's all back together 😂
Great work & banter, the Smart will be transformed
Hope so!
I have enjoyed the content on the Outspan orange 👍🏻, nice work again Dad 👍🏻

Question for the pod cast, has pete much experience of flux core welders, just finished doing the sills on a panda and it passed the test 😊 only took me 3 days in a filthy shed (not mine)
Great question! Will find out

We need a daily installment of you guys, it's a real highlight to watch you faffing around 👌😃
Thank you - i wish i could give you guys a daily dose (but sadly a day job gets in the way!) - appreciate your continued support!
Does it matter if it’s genuine or not as long as it meets safety standards they are not called Stealers for a reason
Absolutely. It's OEM spec so should do the trick
Apec are ok-ish trade standard brake parts…..
I bet the original cylinder failed because it was full of manky old fluid that nobody had been able to flush out….
You are probably right! Feels nicer now with a new part and for the sake of a few £ ... no brainer :)
Everyone always say change wheel cylinders in pairs……..myth or truth…….ask dad please ????
Will ask the boss
