Fax, Wiggins is shooting 40% from 3 and opponents know that so they have to respect it, but now that we have Klay back people have to worry about another 40% 3 point shooter and so Osman went to deny the pass to Wiggins and that left Klay wide open and Garland wasn’t gonna leave Steph but if he did Klay was gonna wip it to him and Curry would’ve been wide open for the 3. This is why having Klay back elevates the Warriors so much more.

The Cavs "3 7 footers lineup" is cool but if they could find another 3 point shooter to pair up with Garland, the Cavs could have their own "Splash Brothers" too.
The two fadeaways that you talked about as two different shots at 3:49 and 4:21 (and even mentioned a change he made on the second one) are the same shot. You can see the same people in the background doing the same stuff.
Coach Nick! 2:27 you say Klay is one of the only guys who consistently shoots threes without a dip, but you didn't break down HOW he's able to shoot consistently without adding the dip! That's one of your favorite topics!!
Klay was hunting a lot of shots and blew up some of the sets. He was hyped up in the first half and rushed shots. He'll get back into it after a few more practices and games. I'm more concerned about Klay's D since he hasn't played in such a long time. Hopefully opposing teams don't watch your analysis. Memphis with Ja will be a lot tougher to guard if they iso switch on him. He should guard Slo Mo. His conditioning and injuries has got to have impacted his lateral quickness.
Exactly! I watched this game and thought klay looked pretty close to excellent. I’m still hyped for him, but I realize now that I may have to temper expectations.
Save Klay until playoff time. Make him a 6th man for the rest of the regular season. The Warriors are already doing well. Why disrupt the flow of how things are going rn? Plus, immediately inserting him into the starting lineup would be a very bad coaching move that will heavily damage the team chemistry. Jordan Poole has done an amazing job taking his place while Klay was out & to put him on the sideline after seeing how much he's worked hard & developed would be a major, major slap in the face to him. I love Klay, put he's not entitled to anything. Make him work his way back up into the starting lineup.
I would do that for any other player except he’s Klay Freaking Thompson. Top five shooter of all time. He ain’t coming off the bench. He’s only playing like 20 mins a game so that’s not too bad, but he needs some reps to recalibrate his fadeaway a little
This isn't Russell Westbrook we're talking about; this is Klay Thompson, someone who knows the offensive and defensive systems inside and out. The team chemistry is just fine; the issue will be building up Klay's stamina and strength as well as his recognition at game speed come playoff time. He's only going to get that if he plays with the starters building up to getting starters minutes.
If anything, Poole is more equipped to come of the bench, as he's in prime shape, has played with everyone, and needs less time to warm up to game speed.
@@lik7953 I understand that & you make very good points, but inserting him into the starting lineup after one solid comeback performance makes the Warriors organization look bad. It's like because he's thee Klay Thompson he can just instantly insert himself into the starting lineup now that he's back. It would be like the NBA's version of that Brett Favre - Aaron Rodgers saga except this situation deals with injury & not retirement. Plus, you're risking Klay by putting him into the starting lineup & playing him heavy minutes. Let him get his reps slowly & gradually the rest of this season off the bench until playoff time. Playoff time is when the Warriors are gonna need Klay the most. Nothing wrong with being a sixth man. Iggy was a sixth man & he won the finals MVP in the Warriors first championship run. Klay should do the same for the remainder of the regular season. He's one of the greatest shooters ever yes, but you know how else is one of the greatest shooters ever that came off the bench? Ray Allen when he played with the Heat & he ended up winning one more championship than both KG & Paul Pierce.
I don't think he should have to earn his start back, but do I agree that he's better for chemistry coming off the bench as he returns. It's also a bit less of an injury risk when he is guarding 2nd&3rd-stringers. Practice only simulates _some_ of the real NBA game.
