I am happy for the warriors. They really deserve one last ring after everything they went through. Three rings for that historical team is just not enough.
I hope we use that death lineup 3.0 sparingly. Of course I’d love for us to continue to exploit teams with it, but it lacks size even with Draymond playing above his height. We should probably start and finish games with this lineup, but rotate certain starters staggered as Steph heals.
Luckily that’s how Steve Kerr used his death lineups in the past, and how he has used them so far this year. They’ve only played 11 minutes together after all. Kerr likes to start looney, but in end of quarter situations and clutch time, he will pull out this lineup
I don't think starting the death lineup would be a good idea at least when against Nuggets. Starting Looney is probably best so Jokic will be more tired and possibly having issues with fouls late game
The concern with this lineup is Draymond. You don't want him facing centers for too many minutes, especially coming off his back injury. I'm sure we'll see Looney, Bjelica and Otto play the 5 for stretches, even when Draymond is on the court.
Fantastic post. I felt empathy for the Nuggets as this game unfolded, it was exactly how Coach Malone described it: one moment you feel like you’re right in the game but then something happens and you’re down 20 before you know it…it is soul destroying. There is no NBA team in history that can outshoot this team, Curry, Klay, Poole and Wiggins can each explode for 30-40 and the GSW system enables more than one of them to go nuclear.
@@bryant5786 Klay lacks the handles/passing/shots off the dribble of Steph and JP to be considered a "Curry". But, what he lacks in those cats, he more than makes up for by being able to go on super saiyan inferno hot streaks better than ANYONE that has existed on earth.

Duncan Robinson comes in and scored 8 3-pointers out of 9 tries. Jordan Poole lookin like a legit star out there. Kyrie Irving goes to his highest level and is somehow still not enough. New Orleans,a team that wouldn't even be a playoff team in the pre-play in tournament era has a legit star in Brandon Ingram who can go 1 on 1 with the best of them when he's feeling it. Memphis has Morant and roster full of guys who can do stuff. Minesotta has Towns and Edwards. Jalen Brunson scoring 40+ points on crazy efficency. Mitchell scored 30 points in a half. Bogdan Bogdanović almost saved the Hawks in game 2 vs the Heat when he scored like 20 points in the 4th. Tyrese Maxey lookin like a future all-star for Philadelphia. Even though lots of great players are missing from the playoffs like LeBron,AD,Zion,Murray,Kawhi,PG13,Luka,Lillard etc. There is still a great product out there...
You're 100% Right. This is the Most SKILLED that the League has ever been - every single team has multiple players who can make 3/4/5 3's or score 20+ in game. The "Experts" on tv really don't really talk about this - they're too busy "Debating" BS topics. Also, fyi, this Elite Skillset all started with Steph/Klay back in 13-14 tho (specifically Wardell), as they took shooing to another lever, and over the years, the rest of the league has Caught up to them. And it's not just the Star players who are skilled, it's the ROLE Players Too, like Duncan Robinson making 8/9 3's in a game, Troy Murphy making 3/5, Jaren Jackson making 4/7. For a while, your name had to be Steph/Klay/Harden to make 3/4 or more 3's in a game. Also, the TRAINING for these players and younger HS/College plays have gotten so Much BETTER too, that's why you have Young guys like Jordan, Anthony Edwards, Ja all developing so FAST.
Poole is really blessed to be in this team-oriented environment so young in his career. He learned well from Steph, Klay and Draymond. Steph is really a selfless superstar who is willing to come off the bench to allow Poole to thrive.
Loving the consistency of your uploads! I remember the dark ages waiting months for a breakdown, and when one did drop, it felt like a real treat, lol!
This team is a synergy of great management, amazing coaching, and acquiring talent that has a shared chemistry that places team ahead of individual stats. What was noteworthy this year was the continued concentration of developing younger talent instead of getting quick wins and running up wins like Phoenix. This development paid huge dividends in the playoffs as the coaches could rotate out a huge array of player combinations to answer whatever was thrown at them; and this depth also helped to cover for some injuries and also bolstered the confidence of the entire team that everyone can contribute and whomever has the hot hand in the actual game gets more looks and involvement. This is the perfect example of building actual bench strength.

Playing 2k made me appreciate and realize how wide open the Warriors’ future is. If Steph Klay and Draymond play doesn’t sharply decline for a few years, they will be deep and can still be a playoff team once they retire. Kuminga and Poole look like they have Star potential, Andrew Wiggins is a great fit, who knows how Moody and Wiseman will develop, but should Wiseman be a starter at least, with his versatility, the Warriors can be a nightmare for a decade plus.
The scary thing is, Poole and Wiggins are still so raw on on-ball. Yes, even Wiggins. As they get more comfortable playing with Steph, Klay and Dray, it’s going to other worldly. Kerr will trust them more and more
@callmecatalyst We shall see if they meet in WCF. Remember Houston vs GS? The only reason the Warriors won that series is because Paul got injured and Houston stupidly attempted more threes than twos in that game. Monty is not the same with D'Antoni so it will be very interesting if the Warriors will be ahead this time when they meet.
Great breakdown! You really highlighted the difficulties of guarding the Steph & Draymond high pick & roll with the shooters that they have on the court. Great job of emphasizing the importance of turning defense into offense as well.
Throughout the season I was looking at those passes and some really dumb moments by Poole thinking that he still needs to mature. Then seeing him in that last month without Steph, slowly grow into the player he is now, ironing out those flaws. This makes me emotional :')
It feels like we’re gearing up for another Warriors championship. I know it’s early, but if they play like this and avoid any injuries, I don’t see any team beating them in a series. Draymond tried to warn us

i heard the steph, klay, Poole lineup called the Bermuda triangle with defense dissappearing in all that space I think it's just genius
The Champion 5
dont jinx u two ^
Someone dubbed this lineup as the PTSD lineup (Poole, Thompson, Steph, Dray) and I really hope that catches on
It has I’ve been seeing it everywhere, I want them to win the chip just cuz of that name
Yep. Plus, the pun is strong with that one. Giving PTSD to their opponents every time the Warriors face them.
i absolutely LOVE this nickname
Just wait for some crusty person to use that politically.
They’re playing the worst team in the Western conference playoffs not named the Pelicans. Let’s not get carried away.
curry's 34 pts in 23 minutes is the fastest 30-pt playoff game in the shot clock era (since 1954-55)
@callmecatalyst Dray got hurt, Curry got in a slump that lasted 10 weeks, & then he got hurt. Curry quite literally just had his worst statistical season in 8 years. There’s really no debate that he struggled this season.
@@dariusgoatland10 Struggled because he had to be the Leader of the team since Dray got out.
@@dariusgoatland10 since Jan 31 he has been playing superb basketball. His slump was more like 4-6 weeks

This has been a bittersweet series... I love Denver, they're my team, but you just can't hate the beautiful basketball the Warriors play.
As much as I love the Warriors I'm already feeling a bit sorry for CP3, he has his best and probably last chance to win a chip this year and may be facing the best team in NBA history in the WCF's
KD back in the warriors?
Same...and now that DB is injured...😔
Booker gone they wont make it out the semis
Well, he had to win last season,
even though i'm a big fan of the warriors , it's cap. 2017 warriors would destroy this team.
Was just about to ask for a Jordan Poole video! The amount of content you put out this season has been fantastic. Really glad to see this channel thriving the way it should be! Cheers 👌🏾
I am happy for the warriors. They really deserve one last ring after everything they went through. Three rings for that historical team is just not enough.
six would be just fine
Bjelica deserved at least a name drop. A cutting player, a rolling teammate, an open Warrior. Poole is a monster though. Yikes.
In Steve Kerr we trust
@@lik7953 Good luck stopping Joel Embid LOL
Fantastic post. I felt empathy for the Nuggets as this game unfolded, it was exactly how Coach Malone described it: one moment you feel like you’re right in the game but then something happens and you’re down 20 before you know it…it is soul destroying. There is no NBA team in history that can outshoot this team, Curry, Klay, Poole and Wiggins can each explode for 30-40 and the GSW system enables more than one of them to go nuclear.
Reasons why this lineup is so dominant: You have two Steph Curry on a same lineup
3
@@bryant5786 Klay lacks the handles/passing/shots off the dribble of Steph and JP to be considered a "Curry". But, what he lacks in those cats, he more than makes up for by being able to go on super saiyan inferno hot streaks better than ANYONE that has existed on earth.
@@jasonchung4968 Klay may lack the Steph or JP movement but he's one of the best 3&D of the decade.
Best teams to watch are the homegrown ones. Such a treat!
the chemistry of this team is insane. 😍
I felt exhausted just listening to you explaining the warriors game imagine how the nuggets felt dealing with it in game
You know you're pretty good when the 5th most important player on your team is a former #1 overall draft pick/Rookie of the Year who was a starter in the All-Star Game... This Year!
I love wiggins does everything he needs to defensively, hustles, and I can always chalk in 15-20 points a game from him on effecient shooting
I've been watching every single playoff game for the past 8 years and I feel like this year the overall skill level is easly at the highest level. Is fucking insane how good people are.
@@shawnharry9517 Definetly. Something is going up with good training probably. Is a joy to watch if you really love basketball.
Poole is really blessed to be in this team-oriented environment so young in his career. He learned well from Steph, Klay and Draymond. Steph is really a selfless superstar who is willing to come off the bench to allow Poole to thrive.
I get goosebumps just watching the game yesterday. And somehow I can feel the frustration of Jokic, Barton, and Cousins.
In the Warrior's new death line-up (which needs a new name), their worst player was a starter in this year's All-star game. Let that sink in.
Nah. Wiggs is probably the best perimeter defender/cutter in the Forward spot in the league right now.
@@crigonalgaming1258 he’s just saying that Wiggins was a starter on this year’s ASG, and in this lineup he’s the “worst” player.
@@bryanduran8337 the forward spot is anemic especially in the West. This is compounded by the fact that a KPOP star put Wiggs on everyone's vote list that's why he got in.
Wiggins will be traded probably anyway.Extremely overrated
@@quesee08 GSW isn't a team that trades starters. GSW is notorious for letting valuable pieces moreso walk into free agency than trading them. And who will you replace him with? I don't think there's another wing in the league that either provides the same value defensively, or another team in the league willing to swallow Wigg's absurd contract.
Jordan Poole joining has made watching the warriors so enjoyable.
Impressive passing ability and shooting but also explosive, would be an all star soon if he keep hitting threes
Seeing the recent championships win by the Warriors, this analysis was quite spot on. Good job!
Can we just take a minute to appreciate ben taylor, the best basketball analyst on RUclips
I feel honored to have attended this game.
JP is an excellent passer, not like some of the stars with overly confident, sloppy passes that become TOs. His are crisp, direct & always on the money. 🌟💙💛
Incredible! I enjoyed the 2022 playoffs
This is a good video in that it weaves film break down with some of the story of Jordan Poole's development. I should watch more of these videos.
The Warriors are so much fun to watch.
You should do a video comparing this death line up to the KD one
I'm a huge Jokic fan, but I have nothing but respect for GSW's playoff performance so far and would be happy to root for them to go the Finals.
Finally! somebody giving love to my guy JP.
He’s been getting a lot of love out there, which is amazing
@@meekofortin14 He wasn't even an MIP finalist
Man this channel has been godly, I am so glad we get this type of content for free. Keep up the amazing work
The Warriors mentality of strength in numbers just proves that they don't need a 4th all-star like KD. The players believe in Coach Kerr's system.
Best shooting guard named Jordan that we have ever seen.
God! I love to watch the Warriors team play and athleticism. Reminds me of the Show-time Lakers.
It'll be interesting to see how much the Warriors play this lineup against teams with more talented guards, I expect GP2 to get a lot of run in games vs the Suns or Grizzlies rather than 2 non-defensive guards together in Steph and Poole
@callmecatalyst I'll be surprised if JTA and Damion play more than garbage minutes. Playoff rotations usually get shorter as you go, not longer
GP2 starts to guard cp3 from the parking lot, guarantee it
Just waiting for the inevitable Warriors Suns Conference Finals. The East is a lot more open though .
Against the Suns in the regular season, they had Kuminga guard CP3..
@@tabingoliver In the last stretch of the season Kuminga was getting a lot of minutes in the 2nd unit, in the playoffs so far, only garbage minutes.
That might change, if there's any coach who can pull someone from the end of the bench to have a critical role in the playoffs, it's Kerr, but just because JK was guarding CP3 in a regular season game, doesn't mean it will happen in the WCF
the previous injuries in warriors line up had benefits..they force other player to be better and ready for the playoffs like jordan poole...like its a silver lining💖💖💖💖
What impressed me too was how they nearly shut down the nuggets entire offense by stalling Jokic.
man, i have a feeling Poole will join the 50/40/90 club one of these years. he's so efficient at volume. man's a legend in the making.
and he is so young aswell
Playing 2k made me appreciate and realize how wide open the Warriors’ future is. If Steph Klay and Draymond play doesn’t sharply decline for a few years, they will be deep and can still be a playoff team once they retire. Kuminga and Poole look like they have Star potential, Andrew Wiggins is a great fit, who knows how Moody and Wiseman will develop, but should Wiseman be a starter at least, with his versatility, the Warriors can be a nightmare for a decade plus.
I was waiting for this ALL DAY!! You da man
Draymond's 3 has finally more arc in it
Yep, although his form is still funky. But if it drops then there's nothing to worry about.

The scary thing is, Poole and Wiggins are still so raw on on-ball. Yes, even Wiggins. As they get more comfortable playing with Steph, Klay and Dray, it’s going to other worldly. Kerr will trust them more and more
For anyone wondering, that is 1 million points per 36 minutes.
@callmecatalyst 🤣
LOL
@callmecatalyst Warriors in 6
@callmecatalyst We shall see if they meet in WCF.
This makes me emotional :')
haha love the Klay portion at the 6 min mark with the Star Wars meme to finish it up. 😂
THEY ARE CALLED THE FAST FIVE!
Kuminga is going to evolve next year. Hope he can stay humble after winning the chip this year.
It feels like we’re gearing up for another Warriors championship. I know it’s early, but if they play like this and avoid any injuries, I don’t see any team beating them in a series. Draymond tried to warn us
that's it. warriors are gonna be the champions
Ah man, your telling there's a third-splash brother now?
And I think Wiggins had the best 3 point % this year as a Warriors!
4:16 His Catch (and Shoot) is so beautiful at times
I really wanna see this lineup vs the celtics , that would be legendary
dude, poole.. is just.. amaizing this season. damn! the rising superstar. NO DOUBT!
The best name I've heard for this lineup is the PTSD lineup (Poole, Thompson, Steph, Draymond)

@@thateverettguy2991 This series feels like the Warriors v. Jokic so far. It's not the Nuggets without their 2 and 3rd best players. That was one of the best games where solid team work was at play. They share the same brain cells. They make it look effortless!

you've got to feel bad for jokic. He's just being asked to do too much out there and he's the only real threat the warriors defense has to worry about. Once they get their injured stars back and get some more versatile 3 and D guys this off season they're going to be much better.

This team is the opposite of the lakers. The lakers are filled with grumpy old men while the warriors have their fresh and energetic lineup.
Wigs, OPJ and Belijaca were great pick ups. Playing in yhe league for long but not getting anywhere, they came in and played their roles to perfection. GP2 is another great find and is punching above his weight class but getting results
