I also use cashew, almonds and sesame seeds. And I toast all seeds, cause I think it dries them a bit, preventing clumping and I just like the toasted nut/seed taste on my milkshakes. Hazelnut also good.
THIS IS BRILLIANT!!! I have already share this to Facebook. I cannot wait to make this, and I really love how you put up the properties of each ingredient!! This is better than any protein powder 💪 I have seen for sale prepared on market shelf. I will be making this for me, to upgrade my health!!!🥰 Chef Jana, you are the smartest, best and nicest vegan Chef on RUclips!🤍🙏😁
Make your own supplements! Leave it to Chef Jana to help us with this! The protein powder products are so numerous and expensive at my local health food store that I just roll my eyes at them. But this one made from whole foods that I already have just makes sense. TFP : )
Oh this is amazing! I just need to get amarinth (spelling?). If I have to choose one vegan channel, out of all those I've been subscribed to for many years, this will be the one. Thank you so much! And btw, our warmest day in Cape Town, South Africa, was just below 50 degrees C. I literally showered in cold water like 15 times on that single day before I had the aircon fixed. Good luck with the heat 🌱💚
Im so glad Jeppe talked you into making blogs for all if us- Thank you Jeppe!!! You are a God sent to so many of us. I am new at plant based eating. Love thought of meatless banana peel meatballs. Will be making those soon. God bless you from grandma Katie in Oregon
Chef Jana, you are undoubtedly the best chef I have ever seen 🥰 each and every one of your recipes is unique, easy to make and so flavorful. You have totally redefined vegan cooking. Much love to you ❤️
Thank you so much for this vegan protein powder recipe! I am just starting a vegan lifestyle & was researching for protein powders and it is very hard to find any that are clean. I will definitely be making this soon! Thank you and God bless you ❤️
You're wonderful ! Thank you sooo much Jana... this is ingenious...I've been wanting my hubby to leave all of those store bought protein powders alone ! Homemade is ALWAYS better ! He's gonna love this...so much healthier 😁
Wow you are beautiful Ma'am and beautiful kitchen too. Oh wow got my chia seeds too. This seeds I saw they use in any recipe. Wow this is all I want. Healthy cooking style. I'm going to save this for my future reference. Thanks so much for sharing it. Watching from Philippines see yea around. Thanks again Ma'am. This is delicious healthy menu. I love it.
@@ChefJana I recently started watching your great channel. I am trying to go vegan. I love all the variation of vegan recipes you cook. Thank you so much. Keep up the great teaching. Blessings from Bay Point, California .🌹🌹🌹🌹
Very cool! Do you think it is possible to just add amaranth flour? It is a much better buy than the puffs and I imagine you wouldn't need to use as much.
what a great idea! I will make some to use in muffins, pancakes and other baked goods. and I am sure I will find more uses for it. not sure about smoothies though I prefer a vanilla or chocolate flavor but I can see this being useful for a lot of other things. I already stir (well kitchen aid) protein powder into our nut betters and nutella before using. just another great video thx Jana
The brand (merke) is called NutriBullet. That is from the makers of the original and first «bullet blender», all the others are knockoffs of this brand. The first one they made, was called Magic Bullet though, but it is from the same maker. I love my bullet blender, I actually upgraded to the NutriBullet Rx, but still mostly use the smaller version, which is a 600W one. It’s just great for powderizing dehydrated veggies and countless other things.
YESSS! THIS IS GREAT. MINE IS SIMILAR... INGREDIENTS 1/4 cup of Faxseeds 1/2 cup Chia seeds 1 cup Pumpkin seeds 1/2 cup Sunflower seeds 1/2 cup Sesame seeds 1/4 cup Hemp seeds 1 cup Oatmeal 1/2 cup of dried green split Peas 1/2 cup Quinoa or Brown Rice *I CAN'T FIND PUFFED AMARANTH. 🙏✌💜☮️💟🕉️ 🇵🇷
I have oatmeal intolerance. What can I use instead of oatmeal? 🙂 Also you should've added how much protein does 100grams of your mix have. It's because some of us need to costume a specific amount of grams of protein
Hi Jana, I love all your recipes and I make most of them. My only problem is when you refer to cups. I never know if you mean UK cup (I'm in UK) or US cups. So often I sort of wing it. In your mozzarella recipe you use 1/4 cup lemon juice. Can you pls tell me how many mls that is. I promise to never ask a measurement question again. Thank you, sending love from 🇬🇧
you can't eat the split peas raw, they have to be cooked and dehydrated first. also after you grind flax/linseed it must be consumed within a couple of hours because the fats inside go rancid and cause oxidative damage. you could grind it and freeze it though.
Our bodies never absorb 100% of the nutrients we ingest, and in this case here the amount of Phytate present in the peas is just too small so it won't interfere in the absorption of other nutrients, so don't worry. But if you prefer you can just leave the peas out of the recipe. The linseed won't go bad if you keep the protein powder in the fridge, I have been making this for almost a year and it keeps perfectly well if well refridgerated. :)
Mr Christopher Howard I grind flax seeds, and keep the flax meal in a jar in my closet. I have been doing this for a couple of years now, and the flax has yet to go bad.
Hello, fabulous , I have heard that Flax seeds must be mixed only when we eat them not long time befor. Please what do you think about that,, Thank you for the answer.
It is ok if you grind them and store them in the freezer or refrigerator. I keep my ground flaxseeds in a jar in the freezer and this protein powder in the fridge. :)
I have tried many vegan proteins but they are loaded with fillers, sweeteners and flavors. Probase Nutrition vegan proteins have no fillers, no sugars, no colorants and they are 100% organic.
I also use cashew, almonds and sesame seeds. And I toast all seeds, cause I think it dries them a bit, preventing clumping and I just like the toasted nut/seed taste on my milkshakes. Hazelnut also good.
If you toast them, they loose their properties
@@rainbowsandrain1828 It's true. The oils in nuts are damaged then.
Bro this not protein powder this fat powder
This is great! You make things look so easy. I have to go shopping now to get more seeds. Thank you 🙏
You are so welcome!
Thank you so much! I just made this and substituted amaranth with lentils. I also added a few superfood herbs and some powdered sugar for flavor. 💚
Does anyone know the protein per gram for this recipe? I've made it and love it (thank you, Chef Jana) and I'm just curious.
I have almost all of this. I will have to substitute lentils like someone else did in place of the amaranth. I love this. Thank you.

Excellent, love all the healthy recipes. Only thing is I would would use only Organic products or at the very least Non-GMO
Perfect! Thank you!
Thank you! What about the dried peas (when the protein powder being consumed raw), shouldn't they be heated in order for us to be well digested? Love
Yes yes!
I had the same question....I haven't heard of eating raw beans before...don't they have to be cooked first before you can consume them?

Was wondering about the split peas. That's what I thought.. but it would be nice to add some that have been cooked and dehydrated.

Hello Jana. I have a question for you. Have you ever tried grounding soy textured protein to a powder (before hydrating) and make stuff with it?
Nice will try this. What can I use instead of amaranth puff?
Que receita maravilhosa 😱👏😘
Hey Chef is this good for weight loss too?
Thanks alot 😬🤗
all of theses needed to be dry roasted first to prevent mold in storage , and becoming a "paste" , also dry peas do not absorb in the intestines .
How many grams of protein does one scoop have ?
do you know about ow muc protien there is in a spoonful?
@Chef Jana can you please tell me the macros of each serve or the total? Thanks 😊
