Officer Trainees of Indian Forest Service & Indian Defence Estates Service calls on President Murmu

Probationers of Indian Forest Service (2022 batch) and Officers/Officer Trainees of Indian Defence Estates Service (2018 and 2022 batch) called on the President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan today (July 24, 2023).
Addressing the officers, the President said that their journey as civil servants has begun at a time when India is acquiring a leadership role at global level. India attracts global attention for its cultural prosperity as well as its technological advancements. India has shown to the world that technology and traditions can go hand in hand.
The President said that it is the duty of Indian Defence Estates Service officers to ensure that the services and facilities that they provide are eco-friendly and sustainable. She stated that technology is a great enabler for good governance and therefore, they must keep updating their technical skills along with domain expertise. Technology should be utilized to the maximum possible extent for effective administration of the cantonments and management of defence lands, she added.
Addressing the probationers of Indian Forest Service, the President said that India’s climate and topography is closely connected to its forest distribution. Forests and the wildlife that they support are invaluable resources and heritage of our country. She stated that the threats of environmental degradation, depletion in forest cover, global warming and climate change are at the centre stage in global discourse and partnerships. That is why environmental conservation has become a key concern for the 21st century. India has given the mantra of "LiFE - Lifestyle for Environment" to the world. Forests are an integral part of the solution and Indian Forest Service officers are among the solution-providers. They are expected to put in untiring efforts for the practical implementation of this Mantra.

Respected Mam,
Kindly refer the Indian R.P.W.D. Act 2016. For job reservation in Government sector It recognises benchmark disabilities classified into five categories 1(A), 2(B), 3(C), 4(D),& 5(E)
Three of these five categories of disabilities recieve one percent of reseservation each and the 4 th( D) category has been merged with the 5 th (E) category and together given one percent reservation , although the 4 th (D) category should independently get one percent reservation since major population of disabled fall in this category.
And above all this the major problem is that even the act which exists seriously lacks implementation for 4th (D) category in most of the institutions and this act is vulnerable to loopholes being exploited by many .
One of the most reputed institution Union Service Public Commission of India has not given reseservation in for 4th (D) category in CSE till 2022
In 2023 Advertisement/ notification/notice of the civil services examination, UPSC mentioned/identified this 4th (D) category for job reservation in Section officer AFHQ i. e. very low profile, group "B" post.( in comparison to other posts in CSE )
Now if any of the candidate belongs to 4th (D) category of the benchmark disability , they will be restricted to this post even if the candidate belonging to this 4th (D) category tops the examination, he/ she not became IAS, IFS etc.
Before 2023 , 4th (D) category of benchmark disabled could have become IAS/IFS etc. on his/her own merit.
Kindly take this matter suo moto & request you to deliver justice.
