Thanks for the video. I noticed you did not replace the blades with mulching blades. I that not part of the kit? Does this mulching kit affect the ability to use the bags to collect grass?
Thank you. I purchased my ztr about 2 years ago, bought the mulch kit last year and just today decided to open the box.. Will install tomorrow, thrilled with finding this video. (My 2018 ztr/Deere kit assembly was a whole different beast.)
Thank you for the video as it was a great help. I did do two things different. First, as in your old mulch kit video, I used a 3/8" ratchet with extension in the square hole on the spring bracket, pulled it back and a helper removed the belt from the back pulley without having to remove the belt from the tensioner. Second, I removed the front hanger from the deck rather than from the frame and pushed it up to the frame. One less thing to get in the way when pulling the deck out. Beyond that followed the instructions and everything went well.
I just subscribed to your channel. Yesterday I bought a 2024 JD Z320R from my local Dealer. I plan to mow today with it! Thanks for the video on the mulching kit. I think I will call my dealer and pick one up. So my understanding is that the kit comes with the mulching blades. You didn’t discuss this in your video so maybe I am wrong. Should I also install the mulching blades? Again thank you so much for your videos! You do a great job. My JD salesman said he also followed you! I mentioned you to him. Thanks!
My kit came with new blades. I held them up to the blades that I got with it when I got the machine and they seem to be the same design to me? I’m thinking “bonus set”
I thought the same, but I looked up the part number and it says "mulching blades". Either way, I just got mine and did a spring clean up with the material collection system and it seemed to shred that stuff just fine with the blades that come standard on the machine
Too many reviews with the mulch kit getting tore up by the blades being $300 it’s not worth it and I’m taking the mower back because it won’t mulch without that kit
I just installed my mulching kit on my Z315E . It's super easy to install. I also replaced the blades with the new ones that came with my kit.

Good video, I used a lawnmower jack and didn’t have to remove the deck. Done in about ten minutes.

The problem is that when it's in the open position, your mower will clog up because your discharge area is now about a half an inch.
Can this be used with the bagger system?

In the manual that comes with kit, it specifically says that blades must be changed to the blades in kit, or it will destroy the plastic pieces.
