BEST TED TALK ever. I learned Laughter Yoga several years ago. When my fiance Dave TRANSITIONED 9/18/2011 we had planned to take a laughter yoga class together .For me it would have been a refresher ,because I already had become a Certified Laughter Yoga Leader ! And Dave & I planned to travel in a small RV & share LAUGHTER YOGA all around the U.S. When Dave left I felt as if I'd lost ALL of my JOY ! never found that Leprechaun RV again that we'd looked at. I'd envisioned naming her The LAUGHTER MOBILE with multi colored hand print decals on her ! Unfortunately I allowed life events to get in the way. NOW I'm in my 79th year on 🌎. Must make a move to cut living expenses. I'd encourage younger folks to fully embrace Laughter Yoga & please share it far & wide ! LOVE ,LIVE & LAUGH !
saw this on a really bad day after getting a ticket. My plan was to crawl into bed watch a video get coffee and try to start the day over. after this I felt focused alert and actually somewhat happy. really fantastic.
absatively posolutely vunderbar! my friends and i (maybe 6 or 7 of us) circa 69 LINY were on mesc and one guy puts down a book of matches, opens it and tears a match out randomly. someone else then tore another random, and lastly someone closed the book reopened it and just bent a match. we all started laughing and didnt stop for possibly 6 hours. eventually daybreak came and all you could hear was an occasional and devastatedly exhausted "hoo.." "hoo.." true story. true grit boiyoyoyoing-dom.. happy thanksgiving!
i think; being able to laugh off things, that shows - that we have understod that the world (ppl, things/situations) aren't perfect, but that WE know better (that we have understood) - that it could be :), there of we will not let imperfection let us down :), so we just lol/laugh at it/laugh it off. :)
A great concept but for me, I have to laugh because something is actually funny so either I will come up with more jokes and/or purposely seek out things to laugh about. That resonated more with me. I want to feel myself smiling from my eyes and not forced. I get that the body doesn’t know the difference but I also want to enjoy the experience to maximize its potential. I appreciate the takeaway which is to purposely seek out laughter, things that make you laugh on a daily basis. Make it a part of your regime like taking multivitamins. Laughter is a multivitamin for the soul:).
Once you do this with a group of people ,you'll discover that no jokes are necessary ! Only your BREATH & BREATHING from your belly ,while looking into another's eyes ! You'll be amazed ! Pure BELLY LAUGHS ! Real laughter .
I have tried a lot of different things trying to improve my physical and mental health. The one that worked for me was the Forwago personalized program.
this flatlined for me fake laughter yea! right ! and my cell phone bill is about $67 a month so i can't laugh at that but i do laugh all the way to the bank
We laugh 300x as children and only 30x a day as adults!!! I guess Ida is not talking about the people in Ethiopia, Afganistan, Syria the Balkans... . If only all the children and adults in the world were that happy. Still, laughter yoga is good stuff and has real health benefits!
It takes practice to be able to laugh on cue. I like the idea of laughing to lose weight. I think Red Skelton was the master at laughing and getting others to laugh. I have to believe that I deserve to be happy, that I deserve to laugh for no reason. The combination of Yoga, using the diaphragm and the belly, taking in a deep breath and raising arms up and bending over. It felt a little like chilbirth breathing exercises! I want to remember, "Though I may not be able to change the outcomes in life, I can always change my reaction!" I get to decide!

Thank Ida for and highlighting this wonderful way of being. We also promote the benefits of laughter. We love what we do
Our bodies can't differentiate between real and simulated laughter but our MIND KNOWS!
Action creates emotion. That's what it's all about.

Watch "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill from the 50's.
With a cute girl like her it works better.
The best laugh I had was watching Hillary Clinton lose the presidency and mainstream media commenting about it.
and the cry babies who screamed NOT MY PRESIDENT !!!!! what bunch of sore losers
Who is laughing watching this video ?
Laughter shouldn't be forced. Laughter yoga seems annoying.
