the ending changes everything. I thought you were on all season. to even move that much in the snow is amazing. most definitely with winters or at least all seasons you would have been easier.

Itt csupán a gumi a probléma. Például Dunlop Wintersport 5 és a probléma megszűnik😉

I do want to point out you don't have summer tires, the latitude cross is intended as an all weather tire as far as I can tell from my research. It isn't a true all terrain tire, but more aggressive than all seasons. In the end, it is definitely made with 4x4 soft roading in mind. Tires are definitely important though, if you had Blizzaks you probably would have made it up easier, but in the end, those tires you had would be fine in all but the most extreme ice conditions like in this video. Unfortunately, this means the Mitsubishi's AWC isn't capable enough to overcome what the tires lacked.

they are rated as summer tyres on some sites.
anyway if they are summer tyres they are doing a good job.
if they are all weather then they are bad.
      happy rides

Summer tires nomenclature here in the states is pretty much racing/track style of tires, although not as extreme, but are meant for speed and performance in summer conditions ONLY. The ones you have are definitely more traction oriented (see link, definitely calls out for soft roading), and I put them between all seasons and all terrains because of this fact. There is no such thing, per the US definition of summer tires, as summer all terrains or summer all seasons. Unfortunately, that may mean they are bad, at least in your case. They do seem to have very good reviews though.

I'm in the UK and have them on my Subaru Forester anc on the sidewall they have the "M+S" sign showing they're rated for mud and snow .

the reason you need high rpm is because the smart diff is trying to send most power to the wheel which has grip but unless you have S-AWC it can only do 75-25 so some power is lost spinning a wheel.
so sometimes more power = spinning the correct wheel
