Ohhh girl! I am so grateful for your channel. I'm 14 days post op bilateral mastectomy. Feeling incredible. Talked to my HIIT coach yesterday. I miss lifting. It's a marathon. Not a sprit. I'll get back to it one day. Gentle movements for now. I am just so glad to see another fit chick go through this. You're an inspiration. I will not attempt this video for another 4-5 weeks minimum. Just gentle squatting on the strongboard for now. Still got that post op fatigue. Keep up you're great work
Thanks!! It’s hard to hold back when you’re used to being so active. I get it. One of the first things that I did after being diagnosed was look up breast cancer and Crossfit. I wanted to know what other active women were doing who were going through treatment…there wasn’t much info online.
Hi I have had a double lymph node dissection 24th July 24 I have been using your exercises and feel quite comfortable doing them. Do you feel that I can back to some light rowing on my concept rowing machine?
I checked my notes and I started rowing on my Concept2 erg 5 weeks after my double mastectomy - nice and easy. Not sure if you watched the video I did on my exercise routine week by week after surgery - ruclips.net/video/t8bCo8OFSTk/видео.html. I can’t say specifically in your case when to introduce exercises without knowing more details about your surgery but it seems reasonable to add in at this stage.
Ma'am, can you pls let me know if i had axillary lymph nodes dissection done for left arm (all lymph nodes removed) can i still safely do these exercises without risk of lymphedema. My surgery was done on 5th September 2023. Kindly reply on this query 😊
In the past, there were restrictions given in terms of exercise for fear of it causing lymphedema. These are myths. In general exercise is safe to do and can actually help to reduce the risk of lymphedema and help to manage it if you get it. Check with your healthcare team for any specific recommendations in your case.
My surgery is in February- when did you get back to exercising using light dumbbells? I am going in strong running 3days and strength 3days a week. After your last surgery when did you feel ready to get back to pre surgery exercise? I know my recovery will be different. You seem active, I am too, so I relate to your story a bit more. TY for your prep videos they are what I’ve been looking for too.
I’m planning a video coming up to detail the exercises that I did post-mastectomy from 0-6 weeks and 7-12 weeks. I figure there’s more active people out there who would be interested in this. I’m not sure I’ll have it done before your surgery in February. I started working out with bands at 1-2 weeks and lightweight at 2-3 weeks. This is obviously well before the general recommendations post-surgery. I was super cautious, only did movements that were 100% pain-free with no pulling at my incision sites. I also didn’t do any exercises that would activate my chest muscles.
Hello! Thanks a lot for your channel it's very useful!! I have one question: what do you think about dry brushing after cancer treatment (chemo, double mastectomy and now antihormonal therapy)? Is it good or not?
If you're feeling tension in your chest, underarm or shoulder this STRETCHING SERIES will help - ruclips.net/video/J7AEk5pveG8/видео.html

I don’t have experience with dry brushing. Leave another comment if you try it.
