I believe the people who made the Barbie movies sold the company after Diamond Castle. It might’ve been after 3 musketeers though. That was around the time I lost interest in them and I think a lot of others did too. You can tell something changed in the writing though because it went from such deep, meaningful messages to the stereotypical fake Barbie. Like “Barbie charm school” or “princess and the popstar” etc. Even the voice actors changed. Diamond Castle was the last good one imo. It makes me sad but at least the old movies still exist for us and our future kids lol

What happened to the simple Barbie, with the amazing soundtracks that even 14 yr olds like me could listen to? Kinda sad... every time I listen to this stuff, I have to make sure my family/friends/ bullies aren't around to make fun. But Barbie was so much of my childhood. I haven't listened to this since I was six... and I still know every. Single. Word.

Wow. I completely ignored this song when I watched the movie as a child. It might just be that the spanish version wasn't as memorable, or I was too tired of the jealousy trope. But this. This right here. Pure magic.

When they said Barbie movies are boring and cliché , they haven't watch the best ones. The songs has so much meanings that kids like me enjoyed due to the tune and now I'm a teenager and still enjoyed the music, not only the tune but its meaning too.

the old barbie movies has such beautiful meanings and messages i could take any movie and i show it to the people who thought it was just about being a plastic perfect doll. by the recent movies are only showing that. i wish we could get something like this again in 2020

I think this song also gives you a message when a new family member arrives in your family and young children or even teenagers might think the others won't care for them anymore. It tells them not to think that that because it isn't true.
