I have a nephew that is about to be 3. I've been singing this to him since the day he was born. I usually only sing it to him when he's falling asleep. But one day last week he was playing and I started singing it out of the blue. He stopped in his tracks and stared and grinned at me because he recognized it. It made me feel so loved by him in that moment. This is something I'll be singing to my other nephew, future nephews and neices, and my children for as long as I am able. There's just something about this song that is so special.
Mattel if you read this and you're wondering why the barbie dolls and movies aren't selling. Well that's because your movies aren't good enough, so bring back the fantasy romance movies.
True though seriously. The last even GOOD movie I watched was "Rock n Royals" and even then I really hated Erika's character, and only liked "What if I shine" and the finale mashup.
Eh, I like the newer ones where she doesn't get with someone. I like there is little to no romance because it sends a positive message to little girls that they don't need a man to be happy and can do whatever they want.

These movies were my entire childhood. I still remember this, ever since I was little. I don’t get why some kids movies nowadays try to not be so lovey and romantic. All the fairytales and stories I read and watched since I was little, I saw weddings and true love’s kiss all the time. I’ll always miss these days, they were so simple and fun. At least I can say, I had a great childhood☺️.

I think Mattel need to fix 2 major issues. 1. the Barbie movies just don’t have that feeling to them, every Barbie fan knows what I’m talking about! The old movies had an amazing soundtrack with amazing plots and characters were likable. The new movies feel like a cash grab, they don’t have a soul. 2. The dolls quality have been going down over the years. 2010 was the worst year for Barbie movie dolls, sure they were pretty but when Barbie changed so did the dolls. This change was way more noticeable when the Princess and the Popstar’s dolls came out. I mean, Barbie as rapunzel’s hair could get longer, and the Liana doll’s dress changed and she sung! Now the Barbie’s dresses don’t even come off and the color is printed on the front! I’ll never forgive Mattel for changing these.
