      @@Kirunapojken You wish! From a Swedish tag-along part of EU perspective a historical blunder certainly, with not much to show now exept your Volvos and cheap furniture that honestly mostly suck in functionality as well as style and material durability.
      From an independant Norwegians prespective, with our stunning fjords and nature, rich coastline and booming industrial and personal wealth not so much a mistake. Maybe never more so than right now with Swedens largely failed response to Covid-19 and continued failure to properly integrate to, and benefit from, an increasingly more multi cultural reality.

      @@quackinator1609 Sorry, you are missing my point. i mean in the event of planetary failure of sorts. Thermonuclear war, pandemic of 1918 worse, asteroid impact, solar flare extreme, etc. How will common folk be able to obtain them seeds? Very low ambient temperature will preserve seeds even if the war or other catastrophe will stop supply of external power. Also it is quite far away from possible conflict zones, because otherwise in case of nuclear war that bank may be destroyed. Another thing - if it is way to easily accessible, it maybe simply be randomly looted by anyone, thus the consideration was that such installation should be placed somewhere not easily accessible in order to require a more organized effort to gain an access to it.

    • @iNdUsTrIaLrOcKeR4U
      @iNdUsTrIaLrOcKeR4U 3 года назад

      @@arunotei You are missing my point. i understand the need of why it is placed there on that remote island but at the same it is fruitless if dire circumstances prevail in the world. A wasted chore.
      If you can not get there and you can not get in to it. What good would it do you if you needed the seeds.
      Example, i live in Montana. Thermonuclear Bombs generate EMPs. Which fry electronics, especial computer chips.
      No electric power grid, no cars, no transportation, no phones, no TVs, no food or water in about 2 weeks or less. [Do banks really know how to operate without the return of electricity and computers that are dead?]
      i have march all away across the USA, enter Canada, gain access to a row boat or a sail boat and journey in waters that i am clueless of how to do that. Find a remote Norwegian island where the vault is and have no keys to enter. Even if i get in and gain the seeds. i have reverse my course.
      Pointless, in my scheme.
      Research the Solar Storm of 1859. i believe something of this nature is going to hit our modern times. Do you own insurance? Is anything guaranteed in the next moment? Would it not be fruitful to prepare? i am saying that should.

    It blows my mind that families can be blown to pieces over an act one of the sisters did when getting married she marries the most fucked up person I have ever met. So worried I would tell the kids why they don't have a father or a relationship with their father... The reason is that she married the guy until she was ovulating, then as soon as my niece was 8 months my sister claimed he had an erection while playing with his new baby girl in their bed. She stuck to that story until this very day......
