@ononewheel7 I just finished tearing it down I want to build it back up over winter, going all out on this one. I plan on fully rebuilding the motor, fresh plastics , powder coat and can’t forget the suspension . Looking at getting some Elka stage 5 . I’d love to get into gncc but there isn’t any in New Brunswick Canada sadly

I run harnesses from Wired Out Racing. If you just need a normal harness get an oem one.

I have been looking for someone that will make a custom race wire harness for TRX450ER as I am doing a full rebuild. That Wired Out harness looks top notch. I also can't find a way to contact Jimmy Bartz to see if he is available to fabricate wire harness. It would be interesting to see if Jimmy has expanded his business or if this just a side job.

i sure hope you get yellow nets for them heal guards . yellow is the way to go. would make them heal guards stand out

Well the actual heal guards were yellow on the previous quads so that may be it!
Is the install on the carb model yfz harness the same as the fuel Injection?
Its kind of similar as far as routing I’m not sure the carb model will have less connections since its not efi. Best bet is to grab a service manual if your unsure but im sure its not too hard to figure out.

Ismael Ramon i will look at the name i forget the brand it was from autozone i use it to help keep all the connections from corroding it keeps moisture out! The vortex cage was from starlake fabrications but braaptech bought them out so you have to go threw them now or even check out ebay you may find some there!

I've been having an issue with my quad, the fuel pump isn't priming, already checked the relay and switched the tank to another quad to make sure the fuel pump worked witch it did, so don't know witch way to go now? New harness?
It maybe a broken wire. Was i talking to you on ig or messenger?

Love your videos! I have a couple questions! Since your fuel pump is always running, does it change anything for reliability? Does it wear out faster? Also what did he delete on this harness? He deletes the main relay in the back also? Would it work with a stock ecu or would I have errors? thanks!
I honestly think running it hot all the time does shorten the life of it. For my setup all the headlight and tail light wiring all the wiring for European models speed sensor,tip sensor, fuel pump relay,ais is eliminated. Jimmy can build then how ever you want i like to keep my fan relay and idiot lights and with this setup you need a vortex ecu.

Can you use the seat pins from 38 Motorsports with that sideways cage? All other “normal” cages I have seen can’t be used with those swag pins since they will hit the vortex
Yes i do. I do not use the cotter pins in my xc setup. That is more for mx. But keep in mind w the seat pins the seat is not gna fall off.
I don’t use the cotter pins either. Just installed them to keep the seat from moving around so much and falling off like it was. Thanks for the help!

On a quad that has stock harness are you literally taking every wire off? I’m getting a race cut over the winter.
This guy actually builds them from scratch now. Before he used to cut them.

Why does that harness only have 1 terminal for the battery its the black wire, wheres the red wire u connect to the positive terminal on the battery
That is a Separate wire that comes off the solenoid to the battery.
Where did you get your steel subframe ? Is it better then the stock subframe ?

i have a 09 yfz450r and the sprocket hub has some play on the splines. any idea on what i need to do to fix it?
You can try tightening the axle nut 1st see if takes the play away! If not might be time for a new hub!

Hmmm thats a good one i guess for me the thing i break the most are the frames so i guess that would be it! Nothing else really on the quad that i can thing of now if i can stop hitting trees then ill be good 🤣
ononewheel7 I feel that in my soul😂 I bought my quad used and definitely abused; it’s got a sizable kink on a joint but it’s not cracked. Oh well🤷🏻♂️ But hey, if the trees are there to keep ya on your toes😂

How do you route the small cable next to the sprocket?

@@ononewheel7 its the little cable which goes under the sprocket, but i figured it out today by the way your videos are really nice i have almost finished my yfz, i used to ride with a ktm hybrid but since yamaha are the only ones manufacturing the quads im switching to a yfz. I also wanted to ask, what is your budget for a completely new quad?
Thanks man. This new one is like 25k between buying a brand new quad and setting it up this way. I actually bought every part brand new since when buying new there is a lot that you don’t use

Its a Separate part of the harness
Its a pro armor kill switch thats plug and play
And a custom start button also plug and play!
