Crunchyroll’s ‘anime’ did so bad that even the Japanese are giving them L’s, funniest shit I’ve ever seen

Even when Japanese media puts politics in their writing. It ends up actually being good and has you thinking. Looking at you Solid Snake, and that glorious thicccc "knowledge"
Oh, it’s entirely possible to do, and do well, just not by the woke.
Is his "backstory" flat?
Agreed. Thats something Ive noticed that the Japanese do very well. A good example is tales of arise. The main theme of the game is racism. But in the game, it's constantly preached that you can't fight hate with more hate and it makes it an enjoyable game
Most anime prioritize story over message, as it should be. But SJWs don’t understand subtlety. “High Guardian Spice,” and the other woke shows they write, put message before everything. That’s not storytelling, it’s propaganda.
@@JustAnArrogantAlien Agreed! It's better to enjoy the ride instead of ending at the climax

When Japanese creators include politics in manga it becomes a deep unbiased conversation that outlines the grey areas of certain topics and really makes you question aspects of ideologys that you thought were good in your mind.
When American creators include politics in their comics it’s just straight up gaslighting with a "one side is right, the other side is wrong and if you question it then you’re an awful person" approach.
And what's even worse is that the latter mentality is downright childish. Why can't adults act like adults?
Exactly! Thank you for this.
Well "one side is right, the other side is always evil." Is exactly what the left believe.
@Big Tom Not true at all? There are plenty of doujin and manga with shitty social and economic commentary, and there are a ton of nuanced and thoughtful American comics.

@Mysterious Thief When did DBZ use politics? Just curious
@Mysterious Thief i think one piece is the best when bringing politics since the world building is so structured so the politics felt natural .personally some of the world dynamic scenes interests me more than some of the fighting scenes. i wish oda shows more of the reverie scenes

Still think it's stupid they named their show High Guardian Spice, but all the characters are named after herbs.

Not at all. Dragonball has a vegetable name too.
@@cutevirus6842 not even comparable. The Dragon Ball series didn't name itself after fruits, only to name some characters after vegetables.
As it should be as a whole. This will forever be a long running joke as to how not to make a show. Calling this an anime is an insult to the anime industry and the fans that know the difference.
in the first place, calling western cartoons "anime" is inappropriate, there's a large gap between western animation and japanese animation(anime). the art style for instance varies greatly and you could differentiate most media from each other. the amount of work put in with VAs, art, music and story is too large to notice for an avid anime fan. even the simplest slice-of-life anime is already more interesting than watching a fight scene with too many "political correctness) bullshit in western media. i might be bias but it is what it is nowadays.
Calling it a cartoon is also an insult to even modern cartoons. Hell, calling it anything except generic garbage with a overdose of misandry is too nice.
Kappa Mikey is more of an anime than this is.

I especially wouldn’t want it to be compared to HGS if it ever came to fruition (also the fact that Japanese people haven’t heard of the show says a lot).
you can say it is anime inspired
If yours made outside of Japan, then call it animation
Even animation can compete with anime. Avatar: The Last Airbender can rival with a lot of anime.
@@LinceSensei though it would be better if you watch older westerns shows and tryed to bring the west nack into the game we can never recrate anime as came form a people different form us
You should do it anyway, the reason ppl are upset with HGS is the attack and the creators pretending to be professionals (so their work is expected to be of a certain standard). The amount you can learn from trying to create something is far greater and more rewarding than the risk of negative commentary.
tbh criticism is usually scarce, inevitable and it shouldn't get in the way of doing something you enjoy; it's best to remember criticism is rarely personal and usually either: jealously, wanting the creator to improve because they see potential or simply having different personal taste.
Have you checked out DokiDoki Drawing?

My god that tweet hits me. It's sad when you realize that there are Japanese audiences overseas that actually liked American content. It's almost no different from how we love anime and other Japanese content. And just like how we loved our own cartoons, games, etc. They're suffering the deterioration as well as they see their favorite parts of their childhood decay just like we are with our own content. And then there is an American "Anime" being made by CR and HGS is what we show. Thank god that Japanese creators aren't falling into the same rabbit hole as we are. But it's embarrassing to see these "woke" American creators ruin everything that is respected in both in our own country and overseas, and then embarrass us even further with a pointless "woke" anime like HGS
I bet there's a few Anime-style Western shows that the Japanese actually like, like Avatar: The Last Airbender.

American animation can be good indeed. A lot of the DC animated movies on Netflix (e.g. the justice league ones) are great. Invincible was great.
I don't know what to call HGS. I think we should just let it be a lesson in how you actually need to put effort animation, voice, sound, story, dialog, etc. Those don't come secondary to political messaging / propaganda.
The writers just seemed like they were so invested in explaining their politics, ideals, etc, and you end up with dialog that's so unnatural that it made LGBT people it was supposedly representing cringe.
Also, you know how important thing genre is in the anime/manga. Target the audience by shown the tags is what make the anime/manga stand over comics and Western cartoon who don't.
Japan don't ever try to mix many genre into one trying to win over very single type of audience at once.
Tho rare cases when they do do that they make it their first priority to tell the audience what there story has in it with those very tags/descriptions.
Western dare tried to do the same stuff they do with their cartoon and comics and call it "anime" without following this very important rule and many other rules.
If they can't follow the rules for anime/writing/creating a good story then they deserve the backlash and more.
Dirtying the lagacy of anime made by years of handworks of actual passionate creators.....disgusting.
I hope they learn from this or get ready to be denied yet again by us actual anime watchers and actual anime creator.

i never understood why western shows are getting so political. Whenever a show goes that route it's so poorly down.
WTH I found you again
It's because of people that are purpose-less are trying to find purpose in their lives, and are trying to fill the void with politics rather than something more fulfilling. Politics is now their religion, and they feel the need to preach whenever they can.
@@shapeshiftingpedro Leftist academics have been writing stratagems for overthrowing liberal societies with critical theories, student activism, and anti-normative culture for the last 30+ years, and the commies with them for the last two centuries.
What you're talking about is something that has been exploited, yes, but it's not the cause; this has been a long time coming. And people now and before us have been lazy and apathetic when it comes to defending classical liberalism and freedom against foriegn communistic ideals like equality of outcome, or rejecting the Marxist oppression-scapegoat revolution narratives that you see for every single id-pol issue.
Because the west is being run by totalitarian ideologues, you can tell when they say things like "the personal is political", as in, nothing is outside their purview: the shows you watch, the people you like and dislike, the thoughts you have or even just what they suspect you think, the people you have sex with, etc. Zero dissent is permitted or you are ostracised. While in anime, there could be a political focus in the narrative, it isn't just shoved in there just to be up in your face, but because it's important to the world and develops the characters involved as they learn new things or live through whatever is happening. Almost seems like they thought about writing the story first.
Some of these Western shows seem like they thought of making the political message first, and then think about about story second.
I like how "even" is in the title like we expected otherwise
high guardian spice is a show that only exist for lgbtq representation they didnt put efrot into other things like the plot and characters which caused the show to have the most poor written plot and characters and what's funny is that it isn't hard to do a good characters who are lgbtq like dio, shinji, saiki k,langa and many more
Calling Avatar "anime" is lame.
