Goodbye "warrior" that stole credit, glory, and honor from our characters. NPC leaders are nothing but thieves and cowards. They make all the decisions, steal all the credit, and force us to deal with their problems. And worst of all, it's never enough. Killed gods, devils, and even fought war in the afterlife for their butts. Still, they want more.
Saurfang was not only a hero to the horde. He was a hero to azeroth, even us alliance strive to be more like him in our own way. Honor never forsake it.
A true warrior
As a horde player for 15 years, and a huge fan of this character before he became part of the limelight and central to the narrative in bfa.. i broke down into tears watching this.. its such a beautiful tribute.. thank you for this video

The WoW community has some major problems in terms of toxic behaivor but every time i start questioning myself how long i shall keep playing
The community shows us how compassionate ppl still are even after all these years they still know how to impress

Lok'tar Ogar! One of the best characters in Warcraft history, you did him right Sir Thompshire with this amazing tribute.
wow you make "historically accurate" Doomhammer, when Orgrimm owned it.
I like to call it the "Doomspear" it's present in a bunch of old art, a long pole and a dagger attached to the top of the hammer.
If we are historically accurate his name has to be Orgrim, not Orgrimm. In some books they write him Orgrimm, in others Orgrim. It has to be Orgrim though. Because when there are Thrallmar, Hordemar and Orgrimmar, his name has to be Orgrim.
Shit man, as a fan of Saurfang since WotLK, this hit hard lol.

At first I was like "Animation could have been better, the voice is kinda low..." but damn, it was a great watch. It reminded me how much I like the world of Warcraft and it's people... and you for making this video, my friend. :-)
Thanks for comment! I think regardless of what people think of the current state of wow, there's always something to love, and that's what matters.
But hey sadly it's kinda the quality threshold I can go for without losing motivation, and the reason why my most recent project is kinda stuck, hopefully I can get to finishing it at some point.
Saurfang, my favorite orc along with Thrall, at the end, he had earned his warrior's death, died to save a lot of lives both of the Horde and the Alliance. A great hero for Azeroth. 😢
Never thought I'd say, but Varrok has clearly surpassed Broxxigar in Honor. Wounding the fallen Titan surely is a badass thing to do. But keeping Hope alive is a far greater deed.
F that, he gave Sylvanas a plan to destroy the hope of the Alliance and prevent the possibility of another war, with Greymane harming the truce and attacking Horde forces, but instead thought it was more Honorable to let your Warchief be defeated instead of killing the enemy he had planned, all because it seemed "unfair" to him. He forced Sylvanas's hand and caused her to burn Teldrassil knowing it wouldnt be worth the occupation. Yes Sylvanas may have had other motives and I still think we might need to see out what they truly are, with hints her goals may still be for good, but Broxxigar sacrificed himself to save Azeroth, Saurfang whimped out. As Blizzard stated, not all things are black and white, there is a very big grey area.
I like the animations here, that part with the ashes on the face was great

One detail was god tier, I have never seen uncorrupted Varok before he drank demon blood and I loved that he did have a very dark skin as a blackrock clan member and I believe this is first time that Ive ever seen anyone do this. Overall this video has so much detail that Im just impressed and out of words

You really don't stop and think the years you been following the character's story until someone makes project like this.
Sadly we had to skip over some really interesting stuff that wasnt voice back in Vanilla and Wrath, but I think this summed his tale well enough!

As an ally fanboy since the very first day I was introduced into the game, it is impossible to not shed a tear when you have such great example of a warrior like Saurfang. And not a dumb demonized orc like we are used to see them since Warcraft. It made me cry so bad even more with the moment where he cares deeply about his son. Truly what makes WoW special to me is that despite me being in love with Humans and the Alliance, is that you got still this other part of the story where your older enemy/opponent or counterpart is just as human as you are.
It is a pity that now the writers have no idea about how to make a character show their emotions and feelings for the player to realize how complex and how much the characters have been through without making them forced or awkward. Saurfang is a strong character that does not show his emotions because it's not necessary at all to make him interesting. But when events like this where everything feels like is lost and there's no hope, you see how well written he is and how good he fits scenarios with his natural personality and dedicated voice acting.
Truly, years might pass and I would end up quitting games from one day to another, but I will always remember this game as the biggest surprise and blessing I've got throughout my life. Thank you for this video a lot, and it's impossible to not say next: Esarus thar no'Darador.

Amazing attention to detail here as well, Saurfang being grey-skinned before he was corrupted because he's a blackrock orc, the old doomhammer having the spike on top like metzen's original drawings, love it man

After playing the game a bit, I realized I had made my warrior look like Saurfang. I never had full t1 in vanilla, but the second I reached rank 14, I AFKed a lot next to him because I had the axe. I really appreciated the role he was given in WOTLK. Blizz actually gave a damn to make a story for him. He couldn't have had a better way to go. Great job with picturing everything. I`d give this a 99/100.
They should put this at the end of his chain quest in BFA as a cinematic. 10/10

Man, the last remmant of the old badass savage orcish Horde died with Saurfang. The Horde as it is right now is nothing but a mere shadow of what it once was, Blizzard is forgetting who put "War" in Warcraft, and that was the orcs! We need NEW Doomhammers, Hellscreams, Saurfangs and Frostwolf with us again! There is no Horde without the orcs.
You see thats actually a controversial topic, if there's always that savagery in the horde, they'll always be the enemy, which the playerbase doesnt like, the factions are supposed to be neither good or bad. The Orcs are part of the Horde, but they arent the ones to define it anymore, especially with the abolition of the warchief.
@@SirThompshire i know it is controversial, yet their savagery doesnt necessary have to be "evil". I think they could pull it off, instead of going to extremes like what they did with Garrosh and now Sylvanas. Orc people were always warlike (which is something that strongly attracts many fans) yet not always evil! Brutal doesnt mean evil.
@@Hellblazecc Yeah I getcha, I think the issue with both factions in general is too much uniformization, look at the alliance for example, it's just humans and their culture mainly, I think a bit more racial identity would help tons.

Saurfang was also the one leading the defense against the demons during the Legion pre-expansion event, I wonder if that's what Thrall meant or was it during the 3rd war in Hyjal (or both maybe :D )
I personally think he meant legion, but I wanted to show a bit more of wc3, since canon-ly Saurfang was there.
@@SirThompshire well , tbh , Saurfang lead forces in probably any major battle , he participated in First , Second and Third War , fought alongside the alliance and any other forces against the Legion and many other threats
