Im waiting to see a NHS rheumatologist in the UK.
I've started writing a list of things I want to know.
In the last 8 months my life has fallen apart.
I had to ask the Doctor for RA blood test as was never offered it.
Im 64 and would normally be very very active and I am determined not to be put on the OAP list.

It is so good to hear you say your goal is remission and that there is hope. I will see my first Rheumatologist in a few weeks. I expect them to say the pain management is a forever thing, and it will just get worse. Thank you for your positive attitude !!

Those doctors are being realistic.. I would expect doctors to be honest

I have had RA for about 18 months, I live in the UK and have access to a rheumatologist in the NHS, I've been on methotrexate for about a year which has greatly improved things but I still have mobility issues due to foot/ankle pain. I am now not a priority patient (since I have had some treatment) so I may have to wait 18 months for my next appointment for my drugs to be reviewed rather than the 3 months you are suggesting. I'm trying to find a way around this although since I'm aged 72 perhaps remission is a bit over-optimistic for me?

Thank you so much, I wonder if you are also engaged in R&D ?

      I am not :) I am
A speaker for several companies and have been on the advisory boards of others but not involved in R&D.

It’s 4 months since I was diagnosed with Poly RA. To be honest I feel like I’m dying. I just want to sleep all of the time.
