I knew a couple that actually did win the PCH $1M prize. It took them 6 months jumping through legal hoops to get the first part of the check. Total they got less than half the amount. I don't know if they had to pay any money up front but they did have to hire a lawyer. the win was legitimate, as PCH showed up at her door with the cameras and big check.
I get calls every once in a while. The scammers are based in Jamaica and have STONG accents! the minute they say they are from Pulishers Clearing House I say, Hay MON, how's the weathre in Kingston today!!! Click
The prize patrol staff, is Scamming people. Also the Agents asking for gift card for Activation and verification plus Tax Clearance. But they're blaming Scammers.
I don’t know why they fall for it? I’m 65. I have 10% of what she had I wouldn’t part with it. I’m grateful for it. I don’t play the lottery. I don’t play publishers clearing house so if somebody calls me and tells me I won, they are liars. I did the IRS would come later after I got the money.
