      I never would have guessed, especially because have 2 separate power steering systems means more complications in terms of engineering, development and production for no real advantage. I wonder why they did that.

    So we check the oil when the car is completely cooled down, correct? I’ve seen different answers on this and just wanted someone to clarify! Thanks in advance

    • @VirarAutomotive
      @VirarAutomotive  5 месяцев назад

      Engine oil, check when the car is warm and an on a level surface
      Coolant, check when the car is cool.
      Brake fluid, doesn't really matter hot or cold.

    When you mention about the transmission fluid being flushed, does it have to be refilled? I’m just a little confused on that.

    • @VirarAutomotive
      @VirarAutomotive  9 месяцев назад

      Yes. That's correct. It has to be drained and refilled.

    Nice explanation, but I watched this video to know where and how exactly the gear oil can be changed. But that part was only mentioned and not explained.

    • @VirarAutomotive
      @VirarAutomotive  Год назад +1

      Yeah the transmission fluid can't be changed easily. There is no fluid level dipstick or view port. The only way it can be changed is if you jack the car up and then there is a drain plug and fill up and that's about it. Even when you fill up, the way to measure is very rudimentary, just fill till it overfills and spills. Not really designed for replacement. As I mentioned they designed it for life.

    • @eddynelson
      @eddynelson Год назад

      @@VirarAutomotive Yeah, but you also mentioned that when it's up to 100,000 miles it should be flushed and changed, and this is exactly what I wanna know, because mine is over 150,000 miles now and when accelerating on a hilly ground it's always hard for the gear to change.

  • @chuck889

    I came to find out about how to check the transmission fluid, but I see I'll need to keep looking. no other guidance than "flush at 100kmiles" ? How to add and check the level is what I'm looking for.
    good information on the other fluids, though.

    • @VirarAutomotive
      @VirarAutomotive  8 месяцев назад +1

      There is no clear way to just check the transmission fluid level. No viewport or dipstick.

    How we can change Transmission Fluid ? Where its located

    • @VirarAutomotive
      @VirarAutomotive  3 года назад

      Transmission fluid is sealed off. Technically it is designed to last the life of the vehicle and that is why there is no dipstick. However if you want you can do a transmission flush. There should be videos showing that on RUclips
