I was on the same ship in January, maybe their longer cruises are better. Customer service wasn't like i have experienced on Royal or even Carnival, not that people were rude, just no one went out of their way to assist you, especially the private island in the Bahamas. Buffet was decent, but the assigned dining food was not that great. It was a last-minute deal, so it wasn't expensive, get what you pay for, we still had a good time. Biggest compliment, one of the best shows out of all the cruises I have seen.
I actually saw you on the Magnifica (July 14-17 sailing) in the Topazio Lounge while the Caribbean Trio (not their official name) but you were in conversation so I did not interrupt. I actually enjoyed my time on the Magnifica and would sail again. The Cruise Director - Rev. Dr. E is a hoot.
Hey Tanya! Sorry I missed being able to meet you but thank you for saying hello here! Totally agree with Rev. Dr. E who I think is hilarious! He's an old school style cruise director where he can sing, dance, tell jokes and do it all! Hear there is someone new coming and will have to check them out!
@@TheWeekendCruiser oh wow! I wish him luck wherever he goes! He is definitely full of talent and energy! Will have to come back and check out new CD as well! Thanks for the reply!
Ty for all the videos. doing a bunch a magnifica weekends too, one down so far. You do a great job of sharing experience without bragging. love the free upgrades, love the ice cream toppings! love it goes to key west. i like the break from the long sailings on mega ships
I can’t believe how much of the Magnifica we missed. Sitting here watching this and wondering how we missed it in all our wandering around. I may have been searching far a bathroom and not really taking it all in in my rush and frustration of how hard they were to find. This was our first ever cruise and Jerry is already looking for our next one. Would love to sail on this one again!!! Loved it!! So nice meeting you as well!
Thank you Debbie and hope the family is well! haha, this is why I make the video after several cruises as I didn't realize T32 existed for the first 4! Weekends go by quick but sounds like you had a blast either way!
I've been on this ship twice. I love it--especially the decor. The 2nd time I was on the Magnifica they had improved the buffet selections. I was very impressed. I don't understand why MSC has such a bad reputation.
Love the shot from the aft in Freeport. Love the blue color of the water in the Bahamas. I would try this ship but the deal breaker would be the tight squeeze in the MDR.
Thank you for the excellent review! You showed a few areas I never saw on my recent cruise (ie, L'Ametista Lounge) 😂. Would have to check those out on the next cruise! Yes, it's a smaller ship, but it is still huge. You are right about the expectations: I went on Celebrity with huge expectations and was disappointed ("it didn't feel luxury enough"); came on MSC Magnifica with low expectations and loved everything 😂. The fitness room is excellent for those who need empty floor for like a stretch or a yoga - with gorgeous views.
hahaha, love the Celebrity and MSC comparison there. Expectation absolutely plays into it! For the gym, don't forget your phone to snap a few selfies. The lighting from those windows is amazing!
Hi Brandon, Thanks and looking forward to meeting you on the Independence Sept 26. Doing 22 nights transatlantic on the Magnifica Nov 8 to 30. 5 ports in Eastern Caribbean, then Funchal, Lisbon, Spain, and Italy. Staying in Rome three nights and then boarding MSC Lyrica to tour the Mediterranean Dec 3 to 10. There's a typo at the 5:37. Poker Room spelled Pocker (could be worse if the o was an e). 😉
haha thanks for the edit! RUclips however does not let you change a video after it is uploaded, so my error has to live on for eternity 😂 And VERY jealous about the long transatlantic sailing on Magnifica! Hope you have an amazing time!
Hmmm interesting! The World Europa was beside us (costa pacifica) in Marseilles, what a gorgeous site she is. My brother is a big cruiser and he was "meh" about his first MSC trip (the Seashore or something like that) and is a Royal fan. Me, I just got off Costa for the second time and will never ever return. I've been on others and have the Queen Victoria coming up. After my brother's "not so great" MSC, I wasn't keen on trying it. Your tour on the Magnifica might sway me, considering I can of course get some great prices being an Italian resident. I think I'd be forever in the purple area though as that's my "I'm an old lady color" :-D I know you've sailed many lines, but I didn't realize you had sailed MSC enough to be silver level. Since I can't stay awake long enough to attend your live calls, I wonder if you would find (or have found) your Euro voyages on those ships to be a different vibe and opinion? (okay WAIT, all the final on the video you said you haven't met a cruiseline you didn't like....I can't remember if you said you've done Costa yet? So curious considering it gets the lowest marks from cruise boards and cruisers....!!)
haha the purple room! Love it. I have not done Costa yet but it is not one that really seems to interest me as I have heard a lot of negative reviews. Not sure if MSC is different in US vs. Europe. I've had this discussion with a few people and it seems to be 50/50 on which way people lean.
@@TheWeekendCruiser I know it sounds idiotic to say, but somehow I thought the ships were different (which is impossible) such that if I took an MSC voyage over here, it wouldn't have the mexican/others restaurants onboard like they do over there. (yes they simply remove the entire restaurant before the Med sailings LOL) Costa gets horrid ratings but they do seem to have upped their game a little with the Toscana and one other. Mine--Sushi restaurant was closed for renovations the entire time. Wonderful. Anyway -- you *did* say you'd "never met a cruiseline you didn't like" and "a cruise is what you make of it" so I thought I'd ask to see if Costa was included! Like I said, though, I gave them a second chance and they blew it, so never again (there are two american cruise vloggers who are diamond members and won't sail any other line...go figure!) After my next sailing next month, I'm really really thinking MSC to the fjords for the next one! Guess I'd better get some indy work....
@@mariavano9616 Look, if the price is right for Costa, I might still enjoy it but agre with your assesment that is a shaky one! Maybe we can get them to do weekends in Miami!
Nice tour, I'm going to try this ship in the fall. I like the layout but she didn't pass the latest CDC inspection report. I just read the report; let's just say I'm not going to eat the fish!
Just a clarification Java, on the CDC test of "Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory" she was rated an 86 which is the lowest Satisfactory. She also got a 96 in December, so hopefully, she knows how to get a good score, just need her to do it again! Here is the actual report if you want to read over the findings. wwwn.cdc.gov/inspectionquerytool/InspectionDetailReport.aspx?ColI=MjEyNjA3MzU%3d-0aIQuYN4k%2bE%3d
I was on there in January and found the entertainment some of the best I've ever seen at sea if only they could do something about the dining room, food was a major let down. Otherwise would recommend Magnifica for sure.
That is not accurate. The MSC Magnifica has a smoking and not smoking side. MSC Seashore however does have a very small (10 machines) non-smoking casino. So will depend on the ship.
What was YOUR favorite experience on MSC Magnifica or when are you planning on sailing her?
❤
My favorite experience was when I was walking on the promenade deck 7 and we saw you
@@Benin780 Aww you are too kind!! Always glad when it works out and I get to meet you all!
I really enjoyed the Circus show, the live music in the lounges and the pizza! I enjoyed a wonderful massage as well.
11 days!!!! I am ready! First MSC cruise!

Try keto or intermittent fasting prior to cruising for the tight squeeze in the MDR.

Hi great video! I seen a video that there’s a kids water park, is this true? I was only able to find one video on it. Im not sure
Not on the Magnifica. She is a SMALL ship and has more play pin's than anything but there are no slides for kids into water.

It is a paid pool table in the sports bar. Never saw anyone playing on it on my cruise.
