We've sailed on Seashore 4 times(inlcuding a transAtlantic-26 days- last fall). We have two more booked...July 2024, and September 2024....love this ship!
After my first sailing, I can absolutely see why! She is actually going to come to Miami and start doing true weekends in 2026! I am tempted to book her for a few months straight!
We cruised the MSC Seashore on July 4th it was amazing, I did get to see DIVAS, it was great!!! It was a very beautiful ship and I enjoyed my time on this ship and will sail MSC again.
Brandon, my family sailed on Seashore during spring break on a 7-day stint. It was my first MSC cruise and overall enjoyed the ship and the cruise. I enjoyed the layout of the ship and its amenities. The only complaint about the decor, and its fairly minor, is the over-use of the chrome. I could have done without the massive silver reflectivity, it can be hard on the eyes sometimes. Otherwise I thought its layout was great. The smart elevators could be a bit smarter IMO. They separated them in port/starboard banks and if you were on the port side aft and it told you car B, you would be stuck there as much as 15min. Well its hard to say because after 10min you give up and go to the starboard set of elevator banks and hop right onto a car right then. For some reason Elevator B port-side aft was a black hole. The included food was pretty good. The variety in the buffet was nothing earth shattering but still good. There was 3 pizza stations but two were not traditional pizza but rather pizza on pan baked bread. The real pizza station located mid-way through the layout was by far the best pizza I have had on any cruise ship. It was large. thin crust, true Brooklyn style pizza. None of that part skim mozzarella crap either. This was whole milk mozzarella and you could just see the grease dripping off it. I know its not healthy in the least but man was it tasty. Our experience in the MDR was not as great. It wasn't the food that was the problem. Overall I found the food fine. Even the steak that was on the menu daily was fine as a cant-decide option. However service was extremely slow. We opted for early dine since we like to make sure we have enough time for all the sows. Unlike service in a RCL dining room, there was not a waiter, assistant waiter, and a person who kept the drinks topped off. We would see our waiter/waitress in the beginning and then nothing until kitchen staff delivered our appetizers... 50 minutes later. Empty drinks, empty water, nobody checking on us. If there was a problem with the food nobody was around to even report on it. At least top off the water instead of assuming 1 room temp 1-liter bottle of water is enough for 4 people, esp when the ice dissolved 30min ago. I hope the problem was limited to our waitress but having 2 more staff assigned to our section would have covered for the lapses. Because of their status matching, my wife was matched at diamond, which included 1 specialty dining. I will say the steakhouse specialty dining was off-the-charts good. Probably the only fillet I had on a cruise that actually beat the filet at Giovannis Table. It practically disolved itself in your mouth. Chewing seemed purely optional. It was my 14yo sons first time having Filet Mignon and I think we spoiled him for life. The entertainment on the ship was absolutely amazing. I only wish the shows ran longer. They all seemed to stop at 30min and I kept wishing it was more like 45-50 min. The show where it was based on a guy traveling the world via train felt like it really needed one or two more cities, at least you were wanting it too. It was an amazing show, I just wished it pushed it to 45min. My favorite venue was Le Cabaret Rouge. I was not prepared for how much I would enjoy their variety show. That became my go-to after dinner venue whenever there wasn't a show in the main theater. One thing you touched on, but seemed to not make it a strong enough point, is that waits in line at the Cafe are not a thing on MSC. Almost every bar has an espresso machine so you can get specialty coffee anywhere. Those long lines at Cafe Promenade are not a thing. Heck even just the plain coffee that you get at the buffet or at a beverage station actually tasted really good. I guess it should not be a surprise considering how much Italians pride themselves on coffee. So even the included coffee was pretty darn good. If you are a coffee person you will really enjoy the coffee on Seashore (maybe other MSC ships too!)
This is a great review Eric and thank you for sharing with everyone! Always love for people to see other opinions and not just mind to help them decide on their next cruise! Will def vouch for the coffee and ease of access to speciality coffee. Never understood why Cafe Promenade and Windjammer bar is the ONLY places to have espresso machines! You don't want to see me in long lines pre-coffee ;-)
Love the MSC Seashore Brandon! Sailed on her back in December 2023. A remarkable stable ship at sea due to the gyroscopes that control ship roll in high seas. I get sail again on this ship the 2nd weekend of November. The ship is probably one of the most beautiful cruise ships I have ever sailed on.
They are actually like 27ft wings that fold out to act as stabilizers when at sea. Midship, occasionally you can see them just a bit under water. If you geek out about things like that, I would highly recommend the Behind The Scenes tour.
Hey Brandon! Thanks for the awesome ship tour. I wrestled with our cruise decision for New Years next year and have decided on the Seashore. We are really excited. Booked a suite as well so will get to enjoy the Aurea experience. Thanks again. 🛳️
I’ve done several cruises with Celebrity and going on a 4 day solo cruise with MSC Seashore in 12 days. Looking forward to unwinding and relaxing. Your video is super informational, glad to have come across this!
Wonderful Teddy! I am going to beat you to World America by a couple of weeks! Let's see if I can get you some solid content so you can see what she is like!
Thank you for sharing. Our family (3 adults and 2 children) are sailing in October for a 4-night for our first ever cruise. Trying to decide on the drinks package. Think we will pass on excursions just to experience the ship and Ocean Cay for our first time.
Good Call, enjoy the beautiful Ocean Cay, and some time in Nassau while the ship it quiet. Didn’t hear it from me, but there are some discrete bottles on Amazon that “I’ve heard “ you can put in checked luggage with liquids from home. Never a problem.
If still looking into the drink package option, here is the video to help guide you to see which one is a good fit. ruclips.net/video/0ktF7nUbIXY/видео.html
@@TheWeekendCruiserWe chose the Easy Plus package. Next time we’ll use the discount at time of booking but we are first timers so didn’t realize the value at the time.
Thanks for the amazing tour!!! Took my family on their first cruise with Freedom of the Seas on RCCL and was looking to be loyal to Royal but the demand and pricing has just shot up, I saw interesting rates on MSC Seashore and have been thinking about booking!!
I just got off of her this morning Jason!!! Again, had a wonderful time and everyone I talked to really enjoyed themselves. I think MSC more than others, I am constantly asking for other's opinions as there has been so much noise but once you get past the noise and get on the ship, you see it is a good experience.
On minute 30 in the buffet- after coming over from Europe (late Feb I believe) , they really started improving their buffet. One of the officers told me they brought on 37 chefs for 7 days and revamped their offerings. Took some time probably to get the provisions in place from suppliers, but I have noticed significant improvements over time. Last few times this year I actually never did my assigned dining, just picked on the buffet, with some sprinkling in of specialty restaurants. As an aside, I know you missed the steakhouse- I always say you don’t have to do an expensive steak, their apps and sides are great (and split a Filet as my wife and I sometimes do). Thanks for the video! Le Cabaret Rouge is my fave too 7-9pm. Also Brooklyn cafe, “Very Berry Protein Smoothie” in the morning and drinks at night. Tip the staff there a little bit, and they will take care of you so minimal wait.
You are 100% accurate in all these thoughts! They have really prioritized their food and it is paying off. Was just talking with some first timers on Magnifica at lunch today and agree it is different than years gone by.
Weirdly, I've never really spent much time looking at the interior of this ship class - not sure why my RUclips trolling hasn't brought me here before. Wow - I can't believe how different this ship is to Meraviglia class - she looks beautiful!
Meraviglia is great too, more organized layout. Great video on RUclips of the building of it. I believe Mighty Ships would get you there. Unfortunately she is in NYC for longer cruises now. Seaside Class does have more outside space, their “Al Fresca” concept.
Wow, beautiful ship! Thank you for pointing out the handicap button on the elevator. I would have assumed it was just a decal designating that keypad as being at wheelchair height 😂
Hi Brandon. Thanks for the tour. Interesting… I was trying to follow along while viewing MSC’s web site for the deck plan. And, there is no Deck 17 on the web site. The deck plan goes from deck 16 to deck 18. Weird… made it kind of challenging to follow the upper decks 😁. Thanks again.
Ahh you are right Jack! I realized this after I had filmed and forget to add a note to the video! Erik is right, they have a 13 but not a 17. Super weird but different places have different traditions.
They must have changed some things. We were just on the Seashore last week and they allow smoking in parts of the main casino. I played a lot of blackjack and found out half the table games allow smoking. My wife also stated there were plenty of people smoking around her while playing slots. We only gambled in the main casino, so she definitely wasn't confusing it for the small section in the sports bar.
It could have or I could have gotten wrong! (benefit of the doubt) I would be surprised if smoking was allowed there as smoke could easily filter to other places but maybe they have better filtration systems than other cruise lines? though, by having a "non-smoking" dedicated section, makes sense you could smoke there. Heading back here in November and will investigate!
Am going on a 3 nights cruise soon on MSC Seashore, just wanted to confirm that they do have a white night on a 3 nights cruise. If yes, on which night? Couldn’t find that info on their website.
I have a person in my cruise party who doesn't ride elevators. Are stairs to access every floor / everywhere on the ship? Thanks in advance. And great video.
Yes. There are stairs next to each of the elevator banks that go from floor 4 to the top. Sounds exhausting! Also there are two midship-ish sets of stairs that goes between 5 and 8, where the common area are. In the 4 story Atrium and near the dueling piano areas shown in the great video. I’d recommend a room on 9, for easy access to 5-8. Other than buffet and pools which are up top, other than some on 8, whirlpools on sides, and adult only infinity pool all the way aft.
We are interested and going MSC Seashore. Never been on MSC but a little concerned about the smell of smoke going out the main areas wife has Asthma. Beautiful ship
I don’t think it will be a problem. Outside area to avoid then would be 18 aft starboard. And 2 sections on 8 starboard. 8 is my outdoor walking loop and I don’t think it is that bad, especially at sea with air movement. I don’t feel it seeps inside.
They do charge for fooseball and it is more expensive than you would think but can't remember the price. The infiniti pool is for adults only. Go early to get a good seat!
Can anyone tell me if I can pay cash on any of the shops around, I’m the kind of guy who only pays in cash cause all the cruises I’ve been on I couldn’t
That is standard for all cruise ships. The stores only process payments from your room key. You can then walk directly to Guest Services and apply your cash payment. Can do this as many times as you want and don't have to wait until the end unless you want to.
It is more closed off but I don't mind that. It feels more intimate and not as massive this way. I took the Red Coach Bus from Miami to Orlando uber to the port. On way back did a shuttle bus for $20 to the port, uber to Red Coach station and bus back :-) I am very resourceful.

I agree the layout is a bit more “chopped up” than some ships. Just study it from great videos like this, look at floor plans available online, and you will be a pro. Yes. I feel like until 1am-ish at the buffet. Can always order basic room service though out the night. Like my son always got ham and cheese sandwiches and cookies (for a fee) at 3:30am. I didn’t get much sleep that trip. Always getting him a separate room now!
It is interesting, there is no reporting on this. COVID and many other viruses are certainly still around and anytime you encounter more people in smaller spaces, you have a better chance of becoming ill.
Not qualified to give medical advice, but I think pretty good. Hand sanitizer all around. My wife got it once, I blame that on the evenings at the blackjack table. I stay away from the casino, more for being able to afford going on often!
I have been so intrigued by MSC - i've heard SUCH mixed reviews. I've only sailed on Royal. Thanks for the walkthrough! Also, you must be tall because my POV is so much lower when I walk around LOL

I don’t believe you can pay cash directly. But you can put cash into the kiosks to load on your cruise card. Then pay with that.
That is standard for all cruise ships. The stores only process payments from your room key. You can then walk directly to Guest Services and apply your cash payment. Can do this as many times as you want and don't have to wait until the end unless you want to.
MSC also has machines that will take cash and allow you to make payments more easily.
This ship feels so closed in compared to the FOS. Lots of rooms. This was in Port Canaveral right? How exactly and precisely do you get up there?
It is more closed off but I don't mind that. It feels more intimate and not as massive this way. I took the Red Coach Bus from Miami to Orlando uber to the port. On way back did a shuttle bus for $20 to the port, uber to Red Coach station and bus back :-) I am very resourceful.
If you are from out of state flying in, they do have nice buses from MCO $25pp per way. But if you have several people, Uber might be better, maybe $75 each way approx. I agree the layout is a bit more “chopped up” than some ships. Just study it from great videos like this, look at floor plans available online, and you will be a pro. It’s my preference as well once you have it figured out.
